Mo, Jo, and Zoe is so disappointing...if you're a dude!…read more So what was I doing in there? Well, obviously I followed my wife, but somehow I didn't find myself searching for the obligatory man chair here, which speaks volumes! Nope. Instead I was browsing the amazing selection of clothing and accessories picking out things for her and finding gifts for all sorts of friends and family! The merchandise here is eclectic, hip, cool, totally approachable, and pretty darn affordable too! I actually compared the price of an item to what I could find online and this little boutique in Downtown Truckee was actually less expensive! The stuff here has lots of artsy flair of individuality, and that's what I love to see on my lady, and secretly how I wish I could describe my own style! At this point, I know your in suspense and asking "Did he make a purchase?" The answer is Yes! I couldn't help myself. They had so many really cool gifts that I had to get something for someone who just may be reading this review. SO... I won't tell you what it is, but they just might tell you all about how much they love it once they receive it! If you find yourself in Truckee, and you fancy yourself a fashionable lady, you've got to stop into Mo, Jo, & Zoe to see what's new. I guarantee you'll have a great time!

They have a section of $5 earrings that I always gravitate towards, and they have a good selection of inexpensive hair clips. The customer service is friendly and they are happy to answer questions about the products or help you find something specific. The only downside is the last time I went, I asked about a specific item I've bought multiple times under the impression it was local/handmade, but found out it isn't. Not a big deal but was a little sad because I try to buy stuff that supports local artists as well as the local shops.

We finally chatted about it this time and I learned it is because she designs them! Frank Lyman cuts her pieces for her in Canada and slaps his label on them, but they are hers! In addition to these pieces that I love, there are great leggings here, as well as one of a kind dresses and tunics. I'm hoping I'll be able to order online from Jeunesse in the future because I really only make it out to this store once or twice each year! The store is only open Mon-Sat 11a-5p so get on in there when you can! You won't be disappointed! She has some amazing designs! The only difficulty you will find will be parking if you come on a busy weekend. This parking lot is a zoo!

I took my favorite pair of Wolverine 1000 mile boots to Kevin and he did an amazing job in less…read morethan 24 hours. The new soles are fitted perfectly and will provide much better winter traction than the slick soles they came with. He also conditioned the leather so they shine like new and are protected from the elements. I was so impressed with his work that I brought him a second pair of black Cole Han shoes that I had thoroughly abused the soles of and the toes were scraped and ugly. Somehow Kevin was able to resole the shoe and put an amazing shine on the toe. While talking to him about my boots he recommended putting a protective sole on when a shoe/boot is new to preserve the leather sole. I just happened to have a new pair of boots in the mail, which I immediately took to Kevin for a sole. He once again did an amazing job, the traction sole looks like it came from the factory, and I won't be falling on my but every time the parking lot freezes over. I can't say enough about the quality of work done at a fair price and in a timely manner.

I wanted to scream... the process was so tedious, I almost said "forget it" so we could leave. The pricing, limited merchandise, and the service all made for a frustrating and regretful experience.

Keep in mind the owner has to be selective in his collection and product hunting, so you're also paying for the convenience of having everything you possibly need in this store. The store does a great job at keeping clothing and items clean and separated. There are a few brand-new items, but mostly second-hand. The parking is a bit confusing because there are signs for it to be an exclusive parking lot. However, if you plan to be quick you can get away with it like I did.
