Such as, if a employees requests gets denied by one of them the employee will then go to the other one to get the approval. This can be very confusing when working on a project. No remodel goes perfectly smoothly, especially with pandemic/supply chain delays, and ours was no exception. But Rafael was so responsive when something wasn't quite right that we got our beautiful kitchen and master bathroom (mostly) on schedule. I'd absolutely hire them again (shout-out to Lucas, Sam and Carlos too - you guys were a pleasure to work with!). Rafael and his team built me a custom cabinet enclosing my standing desk/storage in my master bedroom. It ran longer than expected however Rafael was very communicative and easy to reach. They worked around my schedule and on Saturdays to complete the project within a reasonable time frame. When I had concerns, Rafael kindly explained why and was also mindful to explain it again if my husband was around. I interviewed a couple of other contractors before deciding to go with TRU Remodeling: the quote they gave me was the most reasonable and I liked Rafael's (owner) honesty. The project consisted of remodeling our kitchen and 2 baths and then once we got going I decided to throw some other things in there because well... might as well do it now. :) To quote Rafael, he said they will "roll with the punches" and him and his team adjusted accordingly to complete the project with the additional work. These guys worked relentlessly over multiple weekends in order to get it done within the timeline we had. We lived in the house throughout the renovation and I'm sure anyone doing a renovation can attest that it's no easy task to do that, but these guys did everything possible to keep areas of the house covered and cleaned, which made a huge difference. Their experience is honestly invaluable: I wanted a laminate accent wall in the master bathroom and I insisted that the interlocking planks be cut shorter than they were; Rafael and his team knew exactly how to approach me and how to visually show me why that would not work well and I'm SO glad that they did that, I would have been very unhappy with the end result had I not listened to them and had they not insisted on it. Rafael worked with me on all the details, he made sure that I was always happy with everything, kept me in the loop and dealt with all the issues that came up, costs and timelines. When we returned, six weeks later, the work he had done was great! He communicated with us when we were on the road and sent pictures.
