After Isaac did such an amazing job with our living room a couple years ago, we decided after purchasing our first home in Santee that we wanted to see him work his magic on an entire interior project. We hired Isaac to do a 1400 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome (two stories), including the stairwell and skylight recessed area. Since Isaac is a one man operation, the value is hard to beat. Things will go a bit slower than if you hire an entire crew, but it also streamlines communication and ultimately made our experience much better than trying to manage a handful of painters. Isaac is really good at what he does. He has great attention to detail and we didn't have to worry about a thing! He took care of the trim with precision, patched a nasty hole in our laundry closet, and generally did fantastic work top to bottom. Not only that, but he did it for probably $1500 less than we would have paid for a crew. Isaac is our go-to for anything painting. We would recommend him to friends and family without hesitation. What are we thankful for this Thanksgiving? Well, we are thankful to have found The Painted Painter. Isaac FAR EXCEEDED our expectations for our project and went above and beyond what we could have ever hoped for. From great communication, to extremely detail oriented and professional work, to an eye for what looks good, to an amazing price... Simply put, if you are looking for a painter, you seriously need to do yourself a favor and give him a call. Our exterior home paint had been neglected for years before we purchased it. And then due to life with a growing family, it was neglected for a few more years. Well, we were tired of being "that house" on the street, so really needed to address the problems: Layers and layers of cracked and peeling paint, underlying wood damage in many spots, and general home exterior mayhem. Our house was in ROUGH shape. Isaac (The Painted Painter) was referred to us by two other neighbors who had recently hired him for both exterior and interior paint work on their homes. We called Isaac for a quote and then immediately hired him. After coming out to pressure wash the areas and get a look at what we were dealing with; he taped off, scraped, patched, filled, primed, and fixed all the damaged areas. Then after helping us dial in our color choices, he painted (combination of spraying, rolling, and brushing) our exterior wood siding, trim, soffits, doors, and gates. Isaac is a one-man-band, so the entire project probably took a few days longer than if we had hired a full painting crew, but that did not matter at all to us. After watching his progress, and the obvious pride he takes in his all aspects of his work, we were confident that we had hired the right person. Well, how did it all turn out? Friggin' awesome, is how! I hired Issac based on some of the reviews I read on Yelp, as well as the 'vibe' I got after our first call. Plus his quoted price seemed very reasonable compared to what I had feared. I'll echo what others have said: Great communication, on time, fair price and good work. Fast too. Plus, he was able to fix some holes in the walls. We hired the Painted painter to paint the interior of our house and his job was mediocre at best. He presents himself as a "company" but when he painted my house he was the only person that showed up.The job took about 9 days. The painting was mediocre at best. All the doors he painted needed repainting almost immediately as they started to peel soon after. There were (and still are) several areas were the old yellow paint was not covered and most of the window frames he was supposed to stain were left untouched. The job was over $6K, when I asked for his information to issue a 1099 form he completely refused to provide it. He is now posting pictures of my house which I did not authorize. I would not recommend him and take offense that he is using my home pictures as an example of his work. read more
