Wow! As you can see by the before and after pictures, Jose did an outstanding job on our garage Jose was more than reasonable when it came to pricing, he even went to HD with me to help get materials. The floor was in bad shape but he came in and did his thing. Only took him 1/2 a day to etch and 1/2 to apply the epoxy. I was really disappointed with the last guy that did the floor. But Jose did his research even called the manufacturer to clarify some things before he started the job. I am definitely going to Jose again and have already referred him to friends and family. read more

I texted this guy twice after already having a Facebook discussion with him about an appointment to get an estimate for a bathroom reno and some painting I needed done. He asked me to text him with my name and address and the time he agreed to on FB chat. I did that. The day he was supposed to come, he called me saying he couldn't make it anymore cuz he was caught up in other appointments. That's fair. That happens. We rescheduled to later in the week. I texted the time and address again to confirm, right after the call. I never heard anything back leading up to the time and date of appointment. He never showed, never called. Pretty disappointing, as I was looking forward to working with him. read more

I found Jose on Facebook Marketplace and decided to contact him for the paint job that the previous painter left. When I called Jose and told him what I needed, he was very responsive and returned my call in a timely manner. Jose came to do an estimate and his price was definitely not what I expected. He showed me his previous projects and his Yelp/FB page and after seeing some reviews and pictures I decided to put my trust on him. In my personal opinion his price is a little expensive. Jose quoted "Don't be cheap, you will be happy when this project is done." Initially, Jose asked for 50% downpayment without even starting the job yet. I feel that it wasn't reasonable to give 50% when you haven't even started the job. So I negotiated and we both agreed for- 25% downpayment (paid when he did the estimate) and another 25% a week later on the first day of the project. The other 50% was paid when he completed the job. Bottomline- When the project was done, I wasn't 100% satisfied. Jose did a GREAT JOB correcting the previous painter's mess, however on the last day of the project I was informed that they should be done by 2:30 pm. Around 11 am I got a call from Jose that they are finished. I met up with Jose and did the final inspection...everything looks great given that some paint were still wet. Later that day, I noticed that in one of the areas where he painted, I wasn't really happy with the outcome. I called Jose and told him what I feel and negotiated if he can assist me fix the problem. Jose informed me that he was really busy and has a lot of projects in line. If i need to get the area where I needed some changes, because he is really busy and not sure if he has time, he offered to find someone that can do it for additional $$$. Overall, Jose is a legit painter and he was able to finish the job on time. I can also say that he does quality work. I am giving Jose 4-star, because if a customer is not completely satisfied, a reasonable effort should have been offered to correct the situation. In this case, I would have appreciated if Jose sticks to his promise that when the project is done that that the customer will be happy with the result. I would also appreciate if he offered himself to correct the situation (just some Accountability and for continuity) instead of offering to find other people to correct the situation. read more

I found Jose Ramirez on Facebook and I was a little hesitant to call him but I saw the pictures he had so I gave him a chance... wow he did an amazing job fixing even some of the problems left from previous workers. He replastered the ceiling, painted and installed crown molding. Fair price and amazing clean work. He also has great customer service skills. I met Jose in a Parking Lot at the Market, I saw his truck and he gave me his business card. I had a big ranch house 10,000 sq. feet in Rancho Santa Fe at the time; he eventually painted the entire interior and much or the exterior and in and outside of garage plus gates iron, exterior wood on fences etc. He also painted my dining table from a weathered vintage red to a turquoise lacquer, I love colour and redesigned it, It came out GORGEOUS. Doing lacquer is NOT easy. I was thrilled. He sprayed some old wicker outdoor furniture a rich chocolate brown..., they had been quite lovely but I was ready to toss out, Jose made them look brand new! I freshened up the pillows and we were good to go! He is a very hard working man. I was having an Estate sale while he was working, and I was at the opposite end of the home dealing with customers while he painted, he caught a woman in an "off limits" area stealing my credit cards and made her hand them over! My husband and I really needed our living room, and 2 small hallways painted, and decided to put our trust in Jose Ramirez. None of it had been painted in years, and it was all just plain white. Not even any baseboards. When Jose came over to give us an estimate, he also had alot of good suggestions. For example, we had not ever thought of putting casing around the front door. I also was having ALOT of trouble in deciding what color(s) to go with. To sum it up, he was indeed a "Pro Painter," as the name implied! In addition to the living room finally getting baseboards, the hallways did as well. The casing that he had suggested to frame the front door, really makes it look exquisite! My husband and I are BOTH HAPPY with a color that Jose had suggested. The ceiling, window trim, baseboards, front door, and the 4 other interior doors off the hallways, (in addition to the front door) were done in a lighter, contrasting, color. I originally had my kitchen cabinets painted in July 2016. Jose Ramirez was reasonably priced and very nice. He appeared to be a hard working family man. Score! He did a great job. Score! Why the one star? After the paint dried some of my cabinets looked sparsely painted. I contacted Jose in August he informed me he had a full schedule and would get back ith me. I waited a month. I contacted him again in September same story. After growing inpatient I reached out to him again in November.....same song. Horrible customer service. No follow. I was originally going to use his company for crown molding and painting upstairs. I have a small quaint home. He isn't worth the trouble. I have a mobile home which he did some repairs on, and then painted two sets of stairs and the entire coach. I found him and his crew to be very courteous, and hard-working. I needed to have some urgent wall texture redone, after some plumber work, that left a really lumpy texture and paint on wall patch. So I called Jose that evening to see if he can look at it and help me fix it. He remembered me as a past client and had done some work for me in the past with texturing and coloring matching paint in two apartments. So he came out to do estimate within a couple hours that evening and completed job the next morning within a few hours, even though he was leaving out of town that evening. He also referred me to an amazing stucco guy to also fix bad stucco work after plumbing patchup.
