They did a great job cleaning the roof. The 39-year-old tile look like new. We were able to install our solar panels on top of them without the typical moss and grime on them. The solar installers were very complimentary. Communication with them was great during the quoting and scheduling process. Their pricing was good. Not the cheapest, but less than half of two other companies. They also didn't use the high-pressure tactics some others used when asked to quote. The one thing I would make sure is to ask about payment mechanisms ahead of time. I ended up writing a check instead of using my credit card. That was unexpected. Aside from that, I am very happy with the results and will use them again for both the roof, and to clean the solar panels when the time comes. read more

It seems home owner insurance providers are looking closely at tile/cement tile roofs. Specifically if they have any mildew/algae build up and use that as a reason to not renew. We got the letter and decided to have the roof cleaned. We called So Cal and a few others. Kendricks co had really good reviews and was very competitive. We got a clean-up date for a week later. There is no deposit, just both agreed to price and terms. Ken showed up on time. His rig and equipment is self contained. He set up berms to catch the waste water. Also, set up a pump to direct the waste water into the sewer. My roof is a cement tile and looks like reddish clay tile. Picture a roof 33 years old and never cleaned. So you have dirt, tile aggregate, and green stuff plus water. Just so you know, this is a very, very dirty process. This stuff (crud) with high-pressure water shoots about 15 feet past the roof line. Ken cleaned up real good the stuff that flows down the sides of your house. But you will need to clean your windows and screens after this process. That's just the way it is. One of the pre-requisites to our upcoming Tesla Solar Panel install was a clean roof. I called around and had quotes from 650, 750, 1000, 1200 and 2K for our 2-story house. They were near the lower end had an available timeslot that week. Our steep red concrete tile roof of 30 years had green algae, black soot, and a few cracked tiles making it slippery and dangerous to walk on. I went up there prior to assess if I was up for the task but concluded that that was a NO for me dog! SCCS rolled up with 3 guys and a couple of high powered gas pressure washers and went to work. I estimate it was 3 hours of non-stop blasting and probably an hour of cleanup of windows, pavement and fences. They were available right away and came out to clean our windows. The guys we're polite but not friendly. They removed their shoes while they were in my house. They said the cleaning included all the tracks, sills, screens, and inside/outside of the windows. They straight up refused to clean one window because it had a pellet hole in it from the previous owner. I realized that my son's window had dinosaur stickers on it after they cleaned it. So I spent a bunch of time removing the stickers and the glue - which I didn't expect them to do. But then the guy came in while I was using Windex to clean the window when I was done, and he handed me his rag and said that it cleans better. Okay. A bit weird. There are several enclosures to the windows that they didn't clean. I could run my finger on it and pull off dirt. They left the screen off of one window and they didn't get paint splatter off of another - which they said they would. When I did the walk through to pay, I mentioned this. They put the screen back in and got the paint splatter. I wasn't upset with them or anything, but I certainly couldn't recommend them in good conscience. They didn't do a good job. read more
