I spent countless hours learning new skills taught by the amazing coaches. Even if you don't get at the first try, they still help you. Pushing you so you can succeed, and being there to support you. The whole atmosphere of the place is filled with support and encouragement. The community is so welcoming and amazing. Well, I shouldn't say community I would say family. They are always there for you. I started at this gym when I was a high school freshman and now I finished high school. Initially started coming to TruFit at the end of 2025 to train for a HYROX race but have been loving it so much that I'm still here post-race to help maintain fitness. I first tried a free class one Saturday and then signed up for a two week trial which included an orientation with a coach to understand my baseline fitness and goals and help answer any questions. After the two weeks, had a check-in with a coach to see our progress and chat through future plans for our fitness journey. The coaches and staff at TruFit are awesome and have cultivated a great community. The equipment is great (especially if you're training for HYROX, they have all the stations), the gym is clean and spacious and has an outdoor space which I appreciate so it's never stinky. I love seeing the workouts before class so I know what to expect walking in. And as someone who has zero upper body strength, I appreciate the coaches for being able to help modify the workout to my level when I struggle but also push me to get stronger. I got back on the fitness wagon in Aug '23 and been consistently active since that time. I was running, boxing and weight training. But I was looking for a place to take my workouts up a notch. And I definitely came to the right place. Coach Thaddeus and Sabrina gave me a great welcome orientation meeting and then I was off to take the classes. My work schedule is a little crazy so I'm so glad I'm able to purchase class packs. Every class kicked my butt in the best way possible and no class is the same. So you'll never get bored! And you really feel very accomplished after each class. And another great thing about this place is the motivation and instruction from the coaches AND the camaraderie from all the fellow members. I love my workouts at Trufit Boot Camp. They're always a challenge, never easy but in the end so well worth it. The coaches explain everything as we move along in our out because there is focus on proper form. I've been working out at Tru Fit Bootcamp for ~ 6 weeks and I definitely can see/feel the results. The workouts are really quite intense so you gotta be mentally prepared to work! The coaches will show modifications to make them easier/harder depending on your level of fitness. They have a lot of different equipment and everyday is a different type of workout, so it does not get boring at all. You can also schedule strategy sessions with the coaches to keep track of your fitness & nutrition goals... definitely very helpful because nutrition is as important as the workouts themselves. The other members of the gym are also incredibly nice and motivated, which helps with my own motivation to work out too. I'm so excited to attend TruFit Bootcamp. I need that push, motivation & support. The classes have been challenging, and the coaches provide me with modifications when I need them as I am developing strength & endurance. I like working out with others, and sometimes we do our workout in "teams" which makes it more fun. I really enjoyed the early morning classes while I was on vacation, what a great way to start a day! Although I wish it was open all day for walk-in workout, this is a bootcamp, and that's the difference. Tru Fit offers classes in the mornings and in the late afternoon or evenings. I've been to other gyms, and I find their price competitive. Their protocol is clearly defined (signing up for classes/late fees, etc.) & I understand the contractual agreement. Wow! I've never enjoyed working out and pushing myself so much! I needed some extra motivation and a jump start to weight loss and found TruFit through Groupon originally. I planned to just do the one month trial and bounce. The challenging but satisfying workouts and more importantly overwhelming sense of community won me over. Everyone is so encouraging and positive and actually get to know one another (there are some team workouts.) The coaches care about your growth too and do the workouts themselves. Cool gym, good trainers, I like the open air hanger feel! Even in the summer its not overwhelmingly hot. It's very convenient. They have plenty of classes, the only downfall is you have to register at least an hour in advance so if ur driving home in traffic and not sure if your gonna make it to the class you just miss a class because they charge you if u sign up and then can't make it, and the traffic in LA is unpredictable read more

I found what I was looking for at Trufit! The dynamic, fun and always innovative classes help to exercise every part of my body. The location is great, with a nice open air area and the instructors are very knowledgeable and are very involved in the progress of every one. This Bootcamp has changed my lifestyle for the better. I started with a Groupon deal for about $49 unlimited classes (not expecting to sign up) and at first I was nervous and intimidated by the types of workouts that these bootcampers do everyday! I got through my first few classes and I was hooked. After my trial I signed up and never looked back! All of the trainers Ditanyon, Michael, Sanam, and Christina push you and kick your ass, but most importantly they support and guide you! Also, I can't forget Sylvia, who helped make me feel warm and welcome right from my first phone call! In November, I started this Bootcamp at 195lbs and now it's March and I'm down to 169lbs! I discovered this amazing place through an old friend of mine. She posted it on IG and then let me know there was a Groupon deal, so I decided to give it a try. To get started you check the schedule online and you must complete an in person orientation before participating in your first actual class. At orientation, you will meet the 3 people Ditanyon, the owner and one of the instructors/trainers, Michael, another one of the instructors and Angie, their assistant. They are all very nice people. You will also complete a fit test at orientation so come prepared. Now let's get on to the classes. My review is only based on the Cardio classes which are on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays. They start from 6am to 7pm on weekdays and on Saturday there's only 1 at 9am. They usually start with a fun warm up and then the instructor will explain the rest of the class. You can ask questions or for modifications if you have an injury. They also walk around and help fix your posture so you don't get hurt. The thing I really like is that no day is ever the same. That way it doesn't get repetitive or boring. After each class you will feel extremely good about yourself. You will also be very sore for the next 2 days. I am yet to try the weight lifting classes but I'm a little scared. All the members are really nice too and they also push to not stop and do your best, The place has all types of equipment needed, from weight balls, dumbbells, kettle bells, jump ropes, ropes, boxes, medicine balls and mats and many more. One thing I do wish for is later classes! It makes it hard for me to get there on time since I work far and late. Other than that I'm hooked on TruFit. read more

I joined Tru Fit in June and so far I've lost 16 pounds! What makes this spot different/better than other CrossFit gyms is that the classes are differentiated by level. This helped me for so many reasons. When I started, I was far too out of shape to endure a typical hour long class. Also I've tried other CrossFit gyms that had me do Olympic lifts (snatch, clean and jerk, etc) on my FIRST DAY without properly putting the time in to teach each specific movement. Here at TruFit the classes are leveled to prevent injuries and facilitate success. Not only have I lost weight but I'm stronger and have more endurance. Plus the coaches are all amazing! They push you and they correct you when your form is off. They take the time to demonstrate each exercise and provide modifications. Just be vocal if you have a previous injury, bad knee, etc and they're happy to help. Another benefit of joining is the monthly meeting with Di. He creates an individualized nutrition plan and explains what you need to do to in order to reach your goals, break bad habits, and achieve a healthy lifestyle. in my opinion there is allot that could be done better to truly support their members. the trainers are condescending, disrespectful, and simply rude. unlimited membership will not give you access to all classes ( the schedule is basically BLOCKED FOR ELITE MEMBERS) on 6am or 6:30 classes. the exercise routines include odd and unsafe maneuvering of jumps to meet the group expectations. the exercises routines are constantly interrupted if you are not able to bend, lift or jump as the coach sets up the parameters. in a nutshell- I spend $200 a months for a few months to be reminded that I was qualified or fit to perform. again this is my personal experienced- and I consider myself in excellent fit condition. anyhow- I hope my comment brings clarity to those considering a hefty expense for nothing. read more

Joining TRU FIT has been a life changing experience for me. I didn't know anyone before joining and actually found them just by searching boot camps in my area and decided to try it out. They are a large group and close knit but ALWAYS warm and welcoming to newcomers, beginners and any level. I was super nervous at first because I have a lot of injuries, physical issues and I have been pretty overweight for over 11 years! Nothing worked and I gave up on EVERYTHING else that came before. The coaches here aren't trying to sell you product or anything else other than fitness and a place to do it under supervision. They modify anything I have been physically unable to do. They make every class different so it never gets boring. They aren't overly serious and make things light hearted and fun. They know their stuff and will give you all the support you could ask for... provided you simply ask for it. It's been a challenge but for me I dedicated myself to this journey and to letting trufit be my guide. I've lost over 20 LBS (so far) in less than 3 months. I go 3-4 times a week in the evenings. Trufit has been a bigger blessing for me than I can put into words. The people there have become like family. I highly recommend giving it a shot. You have nothing but the negative to loose and everything to gain. Get those gains! ALSO WANT TO MAKE NOTE THAT CHRISTINA IS THE BEST COACH EVER. She is assertive, motivating, hilarious, informative and incredibly inspiring. She never judges people or is condescending. She pushes people and builds them up without aggression or ego. She has been the ultimate game changer for me and I owe alit of what I have accomplished to her agility in being able to modify and quickly adapt to my personal needs. Only took one class here and regretted it the moment I walked into the door. The man I asked if worked here yelled at me that he owned the place and that I was late. I came early to the studio to check it out but the people who claimed they "kinda" work there were overly chatty which made me late and already trying to sell me membership without trying the gym first. There were a couple of exercises that were too dangerous that I had to modify but the coaches didn't like that. The owner was so rude it put me in such a bad mood for the rest of the class. I even debated just leaving the gym in the middle of the workout. There's nicer gyms I'd rather go to. read more

Tru Fit Bootcamp is such an awesome gym. Michael and D truly make this place fun and energetic. I've gone to the gym for years and years to mostly lift. My cardio was non-existent. I never had an issue with weight and I felt pretty fit. Boy was I wrong. This place whipped me into shape really quick. It is amazing to see the transformations in the class. And so quick too. I have a two year old and got a few colds in a row so I missed out about a month. It's crazy when you don't come for a bit and the people you are used to seeing are just shedding pounds. THE SHORT: One of the Top 5 Best Decisions I've Ever Made in My Life. Tru Fit has literally changed my life. THE LONG: Since I started in May 2012, I've lost 30 lbs. I went from a 42 waist to 36, and the last time I could fit in size 36 waist pants, I weighed about 25 lbs. less. That means, I've put on about 25 lbs. of muscle. I am stronger, faster, and more agile than I have ever been in my life. Before starting here, I had never run a mile without stopping. Now I run a mile or more every week without stopping. I've battled weight my whole life. I've lost (and later gained) 30+ lbs. three or four times. But I've always done it with diet. This time around, being on the wrong side of 35, diet alone just wasn't working. So I bit the bullet and did the thing I've been avoiding my whole life: EXERCISE (grumble, grumble). Surprisingly, it wasn't the torturous experience I expected it to be. Yes, it's hard as $#!t. Yes, it requires a commitment (both time and effort). But it's actually fun. I tell everyone it's like adult gym class. The trainers are all great and, even more important to me, have great personalities. They like to have fun and they always keep it light. Calling this place a boot camp is, in my opinion, actually doing it a disservice. No one yells at you. No one punishes you. You work at your own pace. It's just you vs. you. My favorite part of going here is that I don't have to think. If I went to a traditional gym, I'd have to navigate my way through a ton of overwhelming equipment and be limited by my own lack of knowledge. At Tru Fit, all I have to do is show up and do what I'm told. Having an hour of the day where I don't think about anything other than the "present" has been even more rejuvenating than the physical benefits. In conjunction with the exercise, I also took control of my diet again. Ditanyon, the owner/lead trainer, is very helpful with nutritional advice. As a result of the improved diet, all my nagging health pains and conditions have gone away. I feel taller. Not sure where I was going with that, but I typed it. I've heard some people say it's pricey, but if you go six times a week like I usually do, it's like having a personal trainer for $7 an hour. ($13 an hour if you only go 3 times a week.) Even if I grabbed these trainers from outside a Home Depot, I'd have to pay them more than that. BOTTOM LINE: If you're unhappy with the current state of your health, physical or mental, give this place a shot. They're always running new member specials, so you can sample the wares for like $2 a day. All the members are super nice and supportive, and after you're there a short while, it's like you're a member of a family. Tru Fit gets my highest recommendation. A PS TO THE LADIES: My wife started at the same time as me and lost 13 lbs. from an already slim body type and is really excelling there. You can see all her abs and obliques, and her formerly pipe-cleaner-thin arms now rival Jillian Michaels'. Be careful. Trufit - truly fits only a certain group of people. I keep trying to make it fit me. :-) Now I've torn my knee. Shoot! I went 3 times, got hurt and laid up for a week all 3 times (I tried to not overdo, but I also attempted to do what was asked of me) My husband also got hurt. Tore a muscle. And since then, I have heard from others who complain of the same thing about TruFit. They mean well here, they just do not coach you on breathing or form, or how to do the exercises in a way so that you won't get hurt. They seem to expect you to already know those things and to watch out for yourself. If you are older or these type of exercises are new to you or if you are not all that fit, you will more than likely get injured and laid up. Be very cautious with your bodies folks. One size does not fit all. That is not to say that the people here are not super fun and nice, they are! --Love the exercises and the energy there, but they are clearly not trained in how to modify to prevent injuries. Because of some twist of fate, my friend and I were sent here through a BCOR Groupon we purchased. We had a six-week trial never thinking that we would actually sign up for the membership. After a month, we were hooked. I had been active and working out for 2 years before I discovered Tru Fit Bootcamp and reached a plateau. Thinking that I had reached my limit, I figured that how I looked at the time was as good as it was going to get. Boy was I mistaken. Four weeks into the bootcamp, I had lost around 5lbs and 3% body fat. I eventually became a member and I do not regret my decision. I'm not sure what I can put in my review that someone else hasn't already said. Everyone has a story about how rockin' their body was back in the day (like in high school) and then how they let themselves go (like with college, busy schedule, kids). Although I was very active in my teens, I was still on the plus side of life. And then when I was about to hit 30 and at my all-time heaviest, a coworker told me about a living social deal for Tru Fit, and asked if I was interested. Ummm...no. That sounds terrible. But it isn't. Yeah, it's freaking hard work, and it only gets harder the better you get and the more you do. But it's a blast. I can't think of one class where I haven't had fun and felt like I accomplished something. If you want to make the effort, there isn't a better place to be. Ditanyon is truly the only person who has understood my personality and weaknesses. He knows when and how to push you, and when to back off. And if you're a super emotional girl like me, he will even listen to you cry about your struggles, then make you laugh about how insane you are, and help you figure out your issues with food. That may or may not have happened to me....a couple of times. The people who work out at Tru Fit become your friends and family, and it's exciting to see everyone in class progress and encourage each other. I'm getting closer to my goals every day, and it's the best feeling in the world when I do something in class that I never thought I would be able to do. It works!!!...About 3 weeks ago my fiancé & I started Tru Fit through a Groupon to get in shape before our wedding and as way to jump-start into a healthier lifestyle. Ditanyon & Michael are great - warm and very friendly (not to be confused with easy). They will push you to do what you CAN do (even if you don't quite know it yet). Following the diet guidelines, caloric restrictions and exercise regime I've lost between 6-8 pounds (I'm 45 years old, so it does work for non-20/30 somethings), and notably, none of this was done by starving myself. As a clinician (and as someone who loves to eat) wouldn't do that or support a program that advocated for starvation. I've also noticed a marked increase in energy level, overall strength & endurance. There were a few previous reviews suggesting that D & Michael don't make adjustments for injuries &/or various weaknesses. I have found this NOT to be true. Both have made modifications to accommodate my chronic knee problems. If you tell them, they will show you what to do so you can participate effectively in the class. They cannot know how to help you if they are not told. You also have to be okay with perhaps being a little slower in class then some of the other participants, especially in the beginning. D & Michael emphasize doing the exercises correctly and to completion rather than flailing around trying to keep up with your classmates who can vary greatly in age and ability. I recommend this to anyone who wants to feel better in their own skin. read more
