This was my third stay at a Tru hotel. The other two had only been a year old, so there was a lower likelihood of running into issues. No stains, no critters, but no extra chair besides the one for the computer desk. Two complaints: first, the parking lot looked the same as the evening after pulling in from the snowstorm, and I left at 11:49 AM, so plenty of time to clean it or throw down some rock salt. Second, with the light post directly outside the window, the shades didn't do the job. I'm deaf, so light is the issue for me, not sound. Would I stay here again? Sure, but I'd bring some rock salt and a blindfold. read more

I stayed in town to visit some museums that were excellent by the way. I'm not particularly loyal to any hotel chain but for some reason all the hotels on my trip were Hilton hotels. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. They do have a complementary hot breakfast which I didn't try. The hotel is modern looking with colorful decor aimed at the younger generation. The lobby has work stations, plenty of comfy seating areas, breakfast bar, complementary Coffey bar and even a pool table. My room was modern with fake wood floors, king bed, walk in shower, lighted mirror, flat screen tv, fridge, work station etc etc. Before I set my bags down I rip the bed apart to check for bed and no bed bugs. I noticed that the two Hilton hotels were very clean compared to other hotels in my past. I would definitely recommend the Hilton brand with the consistency of the two hotels. read more

Diggin' The Tru Brand I stopped in at this newer Tru by Hilton while in the Auburn area for business. I've stayed at one Tru previously at the Denver Airport and was TRU-LY impressed. Built for the millennial and the business traveller and with its budget-friendly pricing, I'm digging' the Tru brand. Tru to its name, the brand is made for the modern traveller. With its bright, modern decor, and welcoming workspaces, Tru delivers. Check-in was quick and painless, although my digital key wasn't working I still didn't;t mind 'checking in' at the front desk. When I went to the elevator, I noticed a community board on the wall adorned with locally inspired things to do. This was a nice touch. My room was bright with minimalist modern decor, it's not as big as a Hampton or Home 2 or Homewood suites but just the way the rooms are laid out, they don't feel small. Everything you need for one night or multiple nights awaits you. There is plenty of space for your gear and devices, as well as multiple wall hooks for your coats and jackets. The desk is a little on the small side so be warned. You will find USB ports and outlets tuned into every nook and cranny. If you're in your room to work or play, the wifi signal is fairly strong, as I had two phones, an iPad Air and Dell Notebook all charging and connected at once. The bed is comfy, and the washrooms are spic and span clean, so you can just chill out and enjoy the space. If you get tired of your room the downstairs lobby area has many places to chill, a games room, Big screen TVs, and work pods, so it's a great place to sip a local craft beer and catch up online. The fitness center has enough tools to get in a good workout. The free Lavazza coffee is fresh, free and flows all day long. Tru is TRU-LY a great little hotel chain, and if you get a chance to check one out, you will agree it's a great, modern, and affordable chain that anyone can enjoy. read more

We are Hikton Members and normally stay at Hamptin Inns when we travel but decided to try out Tru. It's a newer hotel with a modern/mid-century esthetic. Clean and minimalistic rooms. We had a king room and there is a small refrigerator, small ironing board and a place to hang coats/clothes. No drawers anywhere, but open shelves for storage. The main issue for us was the vinyl plank flooring instead of carpeting. Great for helping keep it clean, but sound bounces everywhere. As a result, we could easily hear our neighbors tv. We were on the 4th floor at the end so only had on room as a neighbor. A great place to stop overnight on a road trip. They have a fitness center, a pool table and lots of seating on the first floor. Also have breakfast. Note...like many hotels, they have product dispensers instead of bar soaps, etc. However, these are a squeeze type dispenser which was difficult to use with arthritic hands and I imagine would be almost impossible for a young child. Prefer the pump type. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this very reasonably priced hotel. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It was obvious that the hotel staff took pride in their hotel. Hotel lobby is very clean, with cute decor and a pool table, game area, work area and hang out space. Hotel rooms are very clean, beds are comfy and decor is nice. Rooms are on the small side, but laid out well with nooks and hooks for your stuff. We are a family of five, so we hung out in the lobby downstairs and played pool and games. They also have a nice selection of snacks and drinks in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again! read more

Rooms are kind of small but I kind of like it since it is just me. Decor is trendy, hotel is clean, staff is friendly. There is a pool table and a small gym. There is breakfast but I didn't get to enjoy since I had to leave before 6am. read more

I've stayed here twice now while visiting my father. I can't say enough good things about the front desk staff. With the COVID situation, breakfast offerings are more limited at hotels. Upon check-in on my first visit, I asked Brian if oatmeal would be an option in the morning. "No, but I will go to the store and pick up some for the morning." When I went to the lobby in the morning, sure enough, there were oatmeal packs waiting for me. The rooms are super clean, no carpeting which is a huge win in my book! Great value! Nice and clean. Well done design. Reminds me of well managed hostel. Hard surfaces so very easy to clean. Good breakfast
