The toboggan rental is easy and straightforward. You fill out a yellow sheet before going up to the window and then need an ID to rent up to 4 toboggans. They range from 2-4 people and cost $13 an hour for each one. Then $6.50 for each additional half hour. If it's busy you can only go down once in an hour, but with fewer people it's possible to get down 3 times if you're walking the sled up each time. People who drive in their car with the sleds May be able to go down 4 times. I personally liked having to hike back up with the sled. It's great exercise and reminds me of running up the hills to sled back down as a kid. The sleds go up to almost 40mph. We got up to 37mph with two adults and two kids (11 and 12). It's thrilling and fun! The only scary part for me was waiting on the metal steps going up. I'm scared of heights and I was shaking waiting in the line, but it was worth the ride down!

Ilove zipping around the lake in the kayak, and the finishing isn't too bad. There is a volleyball net in the shallow area of the swimming area, as well as a water trampoline, and "blob" to play with in the lake. The kitchen in the mess hall is spacious so your group can make meals for the masses! Although, there is also a kitchen in the main building that is smaller, for those small groups! It's over all very peaceful, with outdoor and indoor games for people to play. Everyone loves a good puzzle in the afternoon.

My boyfriend, dog, and I stayed at France Park for two nights and had a great time. We rented the…read morecabin (there's only one on site) and wanted to make a review since it's hard to find info on it. The cabin is tucked away and was difficult to find due to the staff not giving us a map or directions but we found it just after driving the whole park and deciding to go back for directions. The cabin is primitive and you have to bring your own bed clothes, pillows, etc. no running water, electric, or heating/cooling but there is an electrical outlet a little ways from the cabin. You'd need an extension cord to reach the cabin though. Picnic table and fire ring on site. They didn't give us any hassle with bringing our dog which we declared when making the reservation. The cabin is very shaded and I was not worried about my dog over heating. There's also a store on site with basic supplies and you can also buy firewood on site. There were vault toilets right by the cabin but they were intolerable...strong odor, wet floors, you get it...so we would head up to the bath house for the rest rooms. Little bit of a walk so we'd drive up. Those were clean and the showers were free. France Park had a lot of fun things to do including various fishing areas (one being just down the hill from the cabin), a swimming/beach area with an obstacle course on the water, and the coolest disc golf course I've ever seen (we brought our own discs. I didn't check to see if you could rent or buy on site). The course goes through the woods and was very challenging for a beginner like myself but loved the experience. The location is also fairly close to a tubing place called Riverside Rentals and we really enjoyed that river float. Also not too bad of a drive to town if needing supplies. I wish we would have taken more photos but was too consumed in being present and enjoying disconnecting. Overall, the only negative was the vault toilets but we'll definitely be back to enjoy this location. What a gem!

The ping pong table gets wild and competitive with some older gents that will pause when you walk by to the women's locker room that connects to the pool. The locker room area is always clean, the showers are hot, and there are plentiful lockers. They also have a rotating class schedule, including zumba, water aerobics, karate, and a lot of other things. I have tried the water aerobics classes, but I stopped during the winter because the pool wasn't warm enough for me. The Wednesday night water aerobics instructor is amazing.

I was looking for something fun and kid friendly to do in the area and found this place on Google. It is $9 admission to use the indoor or outdoor pools/slides (unlimited time). The kids had a great time going from one area to another. The place is not that new and it shows signs of definite wear. But for $9, it is worth the trip. If it's cold, the indoor pool is enough to keep them occupied for a few hours at least. I took a 13 year old, 11 year old and a 10 year old and we stayed for 5 hours! There's a snack bar, tiny gift cart to get extra stuff, and lockers and full locker rooms to shower and change. Again, definitely not new by any means but decent enough to use and not be disgusted. There were other amenities (for a $3 additional charge again for unlimited use) like a basketball area and water balloon tossing area, but we didn't buy that band, we just got general admission bands. All in all a great place to spend the day with the kids. Oh, and I did mean to say that the lifeguards were very professional and rotated stations as required. They were very caring helping little ones especially when coming down the water slides. I was impressed with them and how they followed all the rules to a T. I would go back here again if we're back in town!!
