Kids were kicking each other and pushing each other down. it was ridiculous frankly. The staffs only concern and by staff I mean one old cranky man was not to skate fast. First off that rule is nuts when you are on wheels. now if you didn't know what you were doing that would be on thing but I have been skating for over 30 years. I'm 40 and still skate pretty good but by no means was I going fast when this cranky old man blew his whistle at me and aggressively yelled to slow down. When you do that in front of 2 birthday parties etc is ridiculous and made me look like an a-hole. I will never understand why it's OK for kids to push and kick each other but God I skate. The employee on the floor was worthless not only did he not stop the behavior of all these children. He was on his phone 98% of the time. I was I will never go back. I will stick to roller north where there are rules and employees who are polite

My only beef was struggling to get help back at the skate rental counter or the ticket redemption counter. I really appreciate the arcade games actually take tokens and spit out tickets!

It's medium cold, but they do have a heating system near the seats. The rink has wifi and Livebarn. There is a small proshop with the basics as well as a simple concession stand. It's near Trine's campus and downtown. Plenty of ways to kill time between games or go out to eat after. Overall, this is a great facility. Trine has a d3 and club team as well as youth hockey that plays here. You can tell it's well cared for and is a wonderful place to play.

The floor is great, perfectly smooth and level, no ruts or problems. The skate rental works smoothly, though the rental skates themselves are pretty shabby - could use an upgrade on those! But they weren't bad enough to interfere with our skating or ruin turns or anything. We had a great time. Music was good. The two young men DJ-ing and patrolling the floor were friendly and not jerks like at some roller rinks, and they did their job well. About halfway through they led a limbo game that was really fun, and then later did hokey pokey and then speed skate times. I was glad for the games to mix it up and the nostalgia for doing limbo and hokey pokey at the roller rink when I was a kid. The place was clean, and there were tables next to the snack bar where parents or other non-skaters could hang out. The owner seemed very nice and welcoming. Other patrons were friendly and pleasant, no problematic people came. Great experience, looking forward to coming back.

The girl running the place was kind and helpful. The skating rink itself isn't too great, you have to step up onto the rink making it difficult for beginner skaters. But fun lights and good selection of concessions.
