Absolute Bloody Mary with Summer Shanty Snit
    Melissa B.

Bloody Mary's cleanse the pallet to start your day off on the right path. Have great flavor with a choice of absolute vodka. Not too spicy, not too light of flavor or an over power of alcohol taste. The green olives aren't super crunchy but have a strong flavor with a homemade pickle. Comes with your choice of tap snit and the salt around the rim was not too much, but just enough :) comparatively best Bloody Mary around!

    Trouble's Sports Bar

Stopped at Trouble's Bar n Grill in Hard Lake (Howard Lake) to catch a pre-season football game. Not a huge sports bar, but pretty full of locals watching the game, having a beer and a burger, playing pull tabs, generally enjoying themselves. 6 or 7 tables, bar seats a dozen. 6 TVs, good viewing from any seat. Staff was friendly and quick to clean a table, take our drink order, and brought it right out. I had the fish sandwich and onion rings. Two big slabs of batter-fried fish, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo on a bun. Fish was quite good, but the bun was boring and didn't stand up to the fish. Still, a good choice. Onion rings are real onions, not chopped onion paste. Breading is good, would have liked a few more. The cheeseburger was done just right, cheese melted well, beef was tasty. Again, a pretty boring bun detracted a bit, but a good burger all in all. Half dozen beers on tap, good selection of bottles, and a decent selection of liquor. Pricing is good. Fish, burger, rings, 3 drinks and a Coke for around $40. Trouble's Restaurant next door through a short hallway has 7 or 8 tables, 3 booths. Bar and restaurant share the same menu and kitchen, restaurant is quieter than the bar. Not the best sports bar in the world, but if you are in Hard Lake, stop in for a beer and a burger. You won't be disappointed.

The food is great, the staff always has a smile on their face and pull tabs are always a great time.

Great fish sandwich, burgers, home made chips, and service. Phone in and pickup is perfect for those traveling through the area.

Stopped in after a very long NYE day of helping a couple friends move to the area…read more First thing I noticed is just how huge this place is. Upon entry there is a large dining area to the left which looks like it could be used as an event space. To the right is the main dining and bar area that also has a stage. The entire room looks awesome with the lodge them. Plenty of wood everywhere, all the tables, chairs, and stools being made of log. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a huge smile. Both bartenders and the bar back were great durning my visit, treating me as though I was a regular and not ignoring me like you could often expect from a small town bar. I didn't get any food but every single thing I saw came out of the kitchen looked FANTASTIC. I absolutely cannot wait to go back to eat.

It's no secret that if folks are going to support local businesses or any business, really, there needs to be some patience. I have eaten at Red Lodge Grille a few times now, and I have had nothing but a good experience. Even when there was a questionable experience that had nothing to do with my food over present time service, management quite humbly and properly fixed the issue. When the place is busy, it will certainly take some time as is the case with most places. Lunch time is hit or miss with busyness, but usually pretty chill. Depending on what's on the event schedule for the weekends, it can get pretty busy, but isn't that all a part of going out and being social. Ok. So for the food. It's been great! This most recent visit my bride and I were intrigued by the Cajun Pickle Soup. It was delicious! Sounds crazy, I know, but is was worth the try. I got the Jalapeño Popper Burger and is was great. My bride had a wrap of some sort and she loved it. Other times I've eaten here I've had the pizza which is pretty decent. There are pretty decent beer options along with cocktails. Seating is spacious and relatively comfortably with a good selection of booths, tables, and high-tops. The parking lot is a pretty decent size. All in all, a pretty good place.
