The instructor, Mestrando Cocado, is fantastic too. He is patient for his students to learn new things, but he doesn't allow you to become comfortable. He is always pushing you to push yourself. It gets kind of annoying when you just want to curl up and be lazy, but it's the right thing to do and the right direction to go. The group is always active and doing events outside of class, but if you just want to do class, that's fine too. I give it five stars, which I am not apt to do for many things. For example, I was going to Europe and we discussed techniques, and objects (such as an umbrella) that I could use to defend myself. We also practiced how to spot and avoid problems - especially in "gun free" Europe where a club or knife are more commonly used in attacks.
