The instructors went out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable, the facilities were beautiful and well maintained, and the prices are reasonable, even without the discount. There is no parking lot bur street parking was really easy both times I went. If I had one suggestion for improvement it's that I wish there was less time spent on talking and introductions during class, and more time spent learning choreography (a one hour class turned into maybe 40 minutes of dancing) but it does allow for a community to develop. I'll definitely be back! Thanks Dancing Grounds! Update: I did realize the classes were 75 min not 60, but still you should expect to be in a circle talking / introducing yourself / saying affirmations for the first few minutes which might throw you if you weren't prepared for it or are introverted!

I love seeing the little ones so excited to show mom or dad or a family member the new dance routine/move they learned. They're so eager to participate. And of course I must mention the OH SO CUTENESS of the dance outfit/uniform #cutenessoverload One hour on a Saturday, classes meet & the folks that run the studio work this thing like a well oiled machine. The gentlemen, I didn't get names, is ALWAYS smiling and gives gentle hugs to the little ones & points them in the direction of the studio. The dance instructors are also patient & kind. There's a viewing window for parents & occasionally, the parents, get to participate as well. How cool. Ample parking. The studio workers, once again, sorry I don't have names, are timely & this is essential because as one class ends, another begins.

Time to update the review, since it has been 3 years. My little one is now a dance pro (well, maybe…read morenot, but she loves going to dance each week). The staff is always helpful and friendly. They recently merged the 2 former studios into one massive, awesome studio at the corner of Manahattan and Lapalco. Next to PJs, which will become a weekly habit now. The new space has 2 dance rooms, 2 music rooms, and a huge parent seating area. All in all, a great place for kids dance (and music) lessons on the Westbank!

We attended the open house back in July and was given a tour and was provided an explanation of the activities (both tap and ballet will be practiced) in the class, as well as the events for the year. The studio is extremely clean, well lit and the staff are super nice. My little girl enjoys her classes, which is relatively well priced per month for the lessons. I do find that the products are on the pricier end, since all dancers must wear branded items, but it makes since for a unison front. They also have an annual recital and that comes at a price as well. Things do add up from all the wardrobe, photos, and recital.

When we got there, we weren't really sure where to park but I called them quickly and they told me where we could go and the area looks really sketchy to be honest. There's like a painted sign with arrows telling you where to go in a warehouse, probably not the best place to go after dark, but the room for the silks is right there to the left when you walk in the garage door and Alex was there waiting for us. It's definitely a little bit of a workout and I was sweating a bit too but it's a great activity to do with your girlfriends and you get a lot of action shots while you're up in the air. You get a complimentary fruit or dessert tray with the party and we also paid for the charcuterie board and they were great snacks between your turn on the silks. We also had a group picture with the big ring that I sat on in the air as Alex posed everyone else and she sent the pictures to us after as well. Alex was super accommodating and worked with me with the booking and she was the one who instructed us and was very helpful to anyone who was struggling or uncomfortable. When you book a private party like that, I think you also get a discount for the next class you take so some of us are very excited to come back and do it again! You'll feel really graceful and confident while you're in the air with the silks. I had good reviews from all my ladies.

I commented respectfully, defending science as my entire family are doctors, public health etc. I then realized I was immediately blocked. Blocked from the classes I paid for as well. When I addressed this with Clo, she immediately refunded me which I appreciated but was very rude and unapologetic. She never responded after I messaged her saying I was really hurt by the shaming and how it was handled. I actually really loved their dance style. I shared with my friends as well but to block and disrespect me for defending the hero's who are saving people during the pandemic is absolutely atrocious. Politics should never be brought to discussions when you're a public figure. If you do it publicly, expect people to voice their opinions. That's natural. I respect my friends and people who can engage in conversation; even if it's unpleasant or uncomfortable. I have lost respect for these two. And I will never ever support or advocate for them. Unfortunately, I am also in the scene but I will be sure not a penny from me touches their pockets. I will let my friends who dance know as well. So no, I would never recommend this dance company. As they posted support of the president saying injecting disinfectants was okay. How can they be unbiased and treat all dancers equally if even the love for dance isn't enough to give grace. I wish that I didn't have to leave this review but seeing how they blocked me without addressing the grievances of a paid customer, I have no choice. When suggested that they should maybe not post controversial things if they cared about their business, they pretty much responded, "they didn't care if someone wouldn't hire them, they'll find someone else". They have no idea how reputation works. I'm sure there's another studio where you'll be treated better.
