Worse experience ever, BED BUGS! I would had given no stars! My family and I stayed here last week, to start off the room was very run down, old and definitely needs upgrades and a deep cleaning EVERYWHERE. We checked in late in the day tired, I laid my 7 month old on one of the beds to put her to sleep when my mom noticed the first bed bug on the pillow, I got my baby up quickly from the bed and my mom began to examine the bed and found another bug under the sheets. I called front desk and they sent security and housekeeping to check out the situation, they walked in and after looking at the bugs the security quickly began asking personal information on the person who booked the room, no apologies no excuses/reasons for the bugs, they acted as if it was a normal thing, the security then asked what we wanted to do and we asked for a different room so they walked us over a differed room which by the way was not in the best shape in cleanliness, like if it was nothing, no one followed up or made any comment on this. At this point I was already uncomfortable and disgusted these BUGS carry DESEASES and they treated it like if it was a hair on the bed I will never stay at this hotel again, I wish they would give me a refund for this NASTY overpriced room, this could had been a very serious situation if any of us have gotten bit, especially my baby read more

This place is pretty gross. Reminds me of the Patton Oswalt bit about Vegas being a demon c*#k dipped in glitter and deep fried. Only now it's been left out on the counter overnight to congeal. Front desk check-in line was long enough to make Disneyland jealous. Literally took 30+ mins. Carpets were nasty throughout, sticky in parts of the room. Elevators, while pretty responsive and fast, often smelled like bad decisions and piss. Ice machine on our floor never worked the 3 days we were there. Fortunately, we had a mini fridge - our other family members were not so blessed. It must be the hotel's single mini fridge and it's like a lotto system or something. I found it especially odd, however, that it was unplugged when we got into the room... and also placed on a chair for some reason; like a modern art piece. Since it had been closed and unplugged, it smelled great when we first opened it. The room had no bath towels, only hand towels and bath mat. We called multiple times over the next 5 hours asking for towels so we could take a shower after having driven all day. They finally made it to us at 8:30 pm. By then, I didn't even mind the long hairs on it which didn't belong to anyone in our party. The alarm clock wasn't plugged in either, I assume to conserve energy. It could have just as easily not worked. The bedframes were loose enough that I could feel every time my wife blinked. The saggy mattresses accentuated the general vibe. I've been staying at this hotel for so many years - so far back that it was the Ramada Express. I do know that some of the rooms have been upgraded, and the beds are comfortable, and room is updated and clean! This time we ended up in a room that was sub-par, to say the least. The bed was uncomfortable and cheap, and the room was not cleaned well. We were only there for 2 nights, but had we intended to stay any longer I would have requested an upgraded room. I also wish Tropicana had more dining options. My husband and I are disabled, so walking across the street to the other casinos to eat is nearly impossible. We ended up driving into Bullhead for dinner both nights. read more

While checking if my room was clean I seen some toe nails in the floor, Doritos and trash on the floor, bug on the toilet paper and trash all over the carpet. We rented a cabana at the Tropicana for the day, March 13 2022. It is 81 now( 2:21) with a projected high of 85. There is no more sun at the pool. Buildings are in the way. So if you like warm and shade this is for you. They have an adult jacuzzi which is a great idea. And another large jacuzzi for families. Pool seems the cool side which is cool if it's real hot. Not when it's shady for me. Cabana was only 69$ but Mayb that's because we are reward members? We're only at the lower tier level btw All day cabana comes with 6 free well drinks or soda but you must redeem all drinks at once! Half day cabanas come with 3 free drinks.. Decent music plays around the pool. One other cabana is rented but it is Tuesday. About 20 people total here. Slots don't seem to be too tight. Harrah's is super tight. Don't play there. Many complaints. Unfortunately that's we're staying. Not sure why my wife booked the cabana here. Another thing: the back of the cabanas are right beside the parking lot/driveway so that sucks. I unzipped the "window" on back of cabana for airflow but can't zip it back up. Cabana does have a ceiling fan. The pool side bar is not open this time of year but they have a nice shop next to the pool that had breakfast sandwiches, pastries, coffee drinks and various snacks and beverages. Staff is courteous. Prices are reasonable. Pool boy says when he gets here in the summer at 7am there is already a line to get in! read more

It's the only hotel casino not on the Colorado river but it's easy to get to right on the main drag right nest to In N Out. I never realized they have a Carnegie cafe it's your normal breakfast and lunch food nothing special. The casino is big clean with all the virus protocols. This hotel has definitely changed a lot. Carnegie's is horrible. I thought that I might have a meal at passaggio's but it's no longer a restaurant. It's to go only. What I really wanted was prime rib or a steak and it is nowhere to be found in this hotel. The front desk smelled of smoke and that should have been my warning not to check in. I am sad for Tropicana as well as disappointed. I look to Caesars as the innovator and leader of entertainment and really just a great guide in taking care of us. I feel very let down on this trip. We live on Maui (and I work for our local news station) and we come to the mainland with higher expectations than what we have experienced. We actually call Las Vegas and this area the 9th island. Staying at the Tropicana our expectations were much higher. The last couple nights we stayed at Harrah's and we were very disappointed. We are now at Tropicana for 3 nights. Both of these properties in Laughlin are aged and in dire need of renovations. We have been coming here for years and we are saddened to feel like Laughlin is dying. With that said, this might be the last trip here after many many years. We are disappointed in Caesars, and Don Laughlin's and the other properties as they have seemingly accepted this fate. We actually considered buying property here a few years ago, but to see the leaders in the area not investing and accepting a failed fate we have altered our focus. We are beyond disappointed that this area didn't turn into something else. I think the first sign was the airport in Bullhead city, seizing any commercial operation and then Covid hit... To top things off I spent a considerable amount of money in the Tropicana Casino. After my second night at the hotel a security guard was knocking at my door at 8am on Sunday to escort me to the front desk for some payment issue. Turns out the receptionist Renee (I hope she gets canned for this) sent him to get me up to come down and take at their stupid $29 resort fee that they forgot to collect when I checked in!!!! This was ridiculous. This could've easily been solved by a nice phone call. Obviously they know what room I'm in because they put me in the room so they can just call the room, which they did not. I asked the security why they didn't call and he said because they didn't know what room I was in. Is it me or is this place run by a bunch of knuckleheads? WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Booked only for 1 day because we didn't know we were going to extend our stay in Laughlin. So we decided to go with Tropicana because we never stayed there. So me and my fiancé did valet with Tropicana. Everything was fine until we wanted to pick up our car. Didn't inform us we had to pay for valet. Which was fine for us no biggie. The part that got my frustrated was that they didn't want to give me my car because I didn't pay for valet yet. Which I inform the front desk, that I was going to pay for it. Went inside to pay front desk tells me that they can't break a $20 when they are a billon dollar company. Then I said can I pay card she told me that I can't because it's under my fiancé name. I said, how do you expect me to pay ??? Your doing all this over 5 dollars that I'm willing to pay and I need my car to leave. After arguing for about 15 minutes they finally gave me my car. What has happened to the Tropicana? We usually enjoy our stay there but this time was not fun. Overpriced rooms (over $200 per night) in a filthy room with gross stains on the carpet. The sink wouldn't drain. Ice machines were broken on multiple floors. Husband called the front desk looking for ice to put his insulin on and he got an "oh well" kind of attitude. If I could give this Casino a negative star, I would. This was our first trip to Laughlin and it might be our last. When we complained that there was no comforter or anything other than a sheet on the bed, we were told they don't have any available. Even with the AC unit off, it was chilly enough for a heavier blanket. The wait time to check in was extremely long with 3 broken kiosk and rude staff. Upon check out, I alerted the front desk person to the problems we had encountered. Her only response was, "ok, well have a good day". No apology or even an acknowledgement of the issues. I came for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend, upon arrival I was happy to see it was free parking come and go, the casino looked nice had a lot of different slot machines. Once we got to our room as soon as we walked in the room we spotted a roach on the wall, killed it and continued with our day, thinking it was no big deal. We left for a couple hours and came back and saw 2 more in the bathroom, after that I knew it had to be a problem within the hotel, so it's something I'm not happy with, seeing as I don't wanna bring any back home with me. Another issue was the smoke detector went off when there was no smoke in the room so we called the front desk and nothing was done about it , so I had to fix it myself.. Only upside so far was the ac works great and it was already on when we checked it so that was nice. That's probably the only reason I'm leaving 2 stars.. read more

The check-in process was a very long wait, about 1 hour. They should have prepared for the busy weekend and had more employees at the reservation desk. The hotel rooms and bathrooms were clean. Compared to the Aquarius and Belle Colorado, I would much rather stay here, in a heart beat. Those two are super outdated and not as clean. We also ate at their restaurant, I believe it was called cafe Tropicana and we were seated within 10 mins. Food was good, fresh. When you walk out and to the left you can find the restrooms and to the right, there is a small boutique. Check it out. They have really cute things. read more

When you make a pit stop at a beer festival and you need to find a place to stay because you got nowhere to go since getting a DUI is never an option - you may end up in a place like this. Desperation blows! Like an old hooker, the rooms are cheap and available for a reason. My friend and I got a room with 2 queen beds which looked nothing like the online photos. The carpet is just ugly - forest green. The bathroom looks soooo sad. Cheap toiletries (no lotion, no conditioner), and calcium/lime build-up on the shower head. No gym, wifi isn't free. There's a small flat-screen TV in the room, hallelujah! I was not drunk enough not to notice the detail of this dumpy place. I find it funny that they list the charges for linens and such if you love it. No one would want this worn out stuff, flat pillows, dingy sheets. You can buy better pillow at Wal-Mart for $3. Have to say for being our 1st time,it was ok. The rooms are nice,but the pillows OMG bad. So awful, hard to get a good night sleep. We unfortunately didn't stay at the adults only tower. So we hear kids and parents yelling down the halls at 8am in the morning,errr. The hotel itself was nice,just not what I expected. I can say this hotel needs an adult pool. The pool was big enough to be enjoyed by all. If the boundries were separated even better. Entertainment was alright,closed down by 11pm. Overall, stay was comfortable. Affordable for 1 night,and plenty of parking. I would review the restuarant and cafe separately. Winning in the casino, not at all. Both times,have been a bust. Forget about cocktail service,they are slow in making the rounds. Not too friendly waitress, barely if at all cracked a smile. Again,all my observation from being waited on. Would I stay here again,probably not. I would recommend this hotel as kid friendly,and families. If your wanting to do an adult hotel,id say ask for the Casino Tower. It took 1.5 hours just to check in and we didn't get a non smoking room as we had requested. We got to the room and the shower was torn apart, the carpet was flooded, and we didn't have running water. We called the front desk to transfer rooms but nobody answered. After going back to the front counter, we were put in a different room. That room had holes and bugs in the ceiling and the fire alarms were halfway ripped off the wall. Room was old and dusty. Window area hasn't been cleaned for a while but the overall room was somewhat clean. The absolute worst part of this place is trying to get an elevator around check out. I'm talking 45 mins to an hour of watching elevators open with people packed like sardines with their luggage. And everyone just waiting to try to fit in one.
