Took a quick trip to Laughlin for a family event and decided to switch things up since I usually stay at the Riverside. This place felt a lot smaller than I expected, and getting back to my room was a bit confusing at times. There also weren't many dining options, which was a little disappointing That said, the room itself was the highlight of my stay. It was clean, comfortable, and the bed was great. I had a window with a view of the surroundings and the morning sunshine coming through made it cozy over while the property had some downsides (for me) the room definitely stood out and made the stay enjoyable.

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of this hotel. It's too bad when Caesar's took over that they didn't do room renovations on all the rooms. We stayed here on 12/31/2025 to celebrate NYE. It's not a hotel we normally stay @ when visiting Laughlin but it was inexpensive. The room we had was soooo plain! There wasn't one picture up on the walls. No refrigerator in the room, barely any outlets & not one close to my bed. The TV was super small...time to upgrade guys! Our view out of our window was of the parking garage. We just stayed one night & was really only in our room to sleep. We stayed out late & ended up passing out after getting back to our room that we over slept & woke up around 11:20am. Ooops...check out is @ 11am but no one came knocking on our door so we quickly got up & headed out. We never used the shower so I can't tell you how the water pressure is. Check in was easy & I didn't have to wait in line very long. Lady @ the desk was nice. The one thing that I really enjoyed was how packed the casino was. It's never that busy anymore but it was NYE but after it was over the casino was empty. I did enjoy playing Wizard Of Oz machine & actually won a little bit this trip. They have a really nice gift shop. I don't like staying over on this side & away from the river. We did walk over to Riverside as that's one of our favorite casino's & it's about a 30min walk over there. I kinda wished I paid the extra money to stay elsewhere. But hey @ least I got some points on my Caesar's players card!

Pastries while you gamble or hangout at poolside, perhaps bring it your hotel room.

I had a great time at the Tropicana Casino and lounging in the bar area. There's a huge parking lot and plenty of amenities inside to keep you busy, from boutiques and an arcade to a pool area, food, and beverages. Like many casinos, when you gamble, drinks are complimentary. My hubby got free Coors Light while he was gambling. I played the slot machines, which were fun, and I also played Three Card Poker, which was a good time. I really appreciate the atmosphere here. They have tall ceilings and a well thought out layout. The lounge area makes for a comfy spot to relax and read while enjoying some food and tea.

Great service! If you are a beginner don't hesitate to ask the staff; they are patient and are happy o help. Renting the extrinsic machine is $2.00 extra, if you need a sober it's an additional $1.00. A round of games lasts an hour. Come 30 minutes ahead to get free nonalcoholic beverages, mark the bingo cards, and find a seat. Plenty of seating for a crowd.

We had a pleasant stay here. The front desk staff were so helpful at checkin. Rooms werent fancy but clean and better than other places! I will say it was a bit disappointing to see an envelope for a housekeeping tip, however there was an empty box of tissues in the bathroom. The bathroom is also where you find the complimentary water (so weird). I did love the bingo here. The 5pm dual dab session was a blast to attend!

Stayed over Valentine's Day weekend 2026. I will start with the good. The room was clean and the bed was actually comfortable. We got a room with a river view and that was nice to look at. Check in was smooth and easy. The not so good though....no hot water!! We found out it wasn't just us, multiple guests had no hot water for showers. I also noticed on the ceiling what couldd be a leak but as there was no visible dripping, I figured it was fine. I was sad to see Passagio's is a shell of what it used to be. I'm still sad the little pastry place under the stairs is gone. The Brew Brothers restaurant was good with great food. Carnegies was ok and good if you need a quick bite. Overall, if the water would have been hot, the whole stay would have been good.

Only leaving 2 stars because bed was very comfy. This place is very old and there's no up keep. I made reservation on line and paid 3x what my son paid. He came last minute and got a free upgraded room with every amenity for 1/3 rd the price. I'm more than disgusted. To take a shower we had to hold the hose in our hand because there's nothing to hold it. F this place.

Is the river walking distance doesn't look like it but if someone can let me know or if there's a shuttle to the river from the Tropicanajust looking to make sure can hit the river pretty easy during the day time?

5 minute walk. It's across the street. There's also a free shuttle to Harrahs which is on the river.

    Refrigerator, micrwave, coffeemaker?

You hafta pay extra for a tiny fridge, while small coffeemakers come standard. We stayed in THREE DIFFERENT ROOMS spanning both towers during our stay- Not a microwave to be found in any of them!

Which tower is the East Tower, I'm assuming it's the newer larger tower, am I correct?

Nope. The East Tower, aka Casino Tower, is the original tower, featuring larger rooms but dark hallways, woefully slow plumbing and popcorned ceilings.… Read more

    Do they have boat parking?

    Yes on back

Is there any transportation to/from the beaches? How is the taxi situation there right now? Does Trop Laughlin partner with any taxi companies to call or have any recommendations?

No beaches except at Harrah. There is big bend park, and a park at base of damn, but no beach.

Can you gamble at the bar with those machines were you just sit in your seat drink and gamble? Machines usually have poker keno and blackjack. Also are the restaurants running on a regular schedule now

Do the rooms have a fridge?

Some do and some don't. Request a room with a fridge.

Does the Tropicana have adjoining rooms?

    Yes

What happened to the buffet? Are they reopening soon? It was my all time favorite now I gotta go to Riverside 😤

I believe so when we were there a month ago they had that whole area masked off, I guess they are remodeling it.

What is the check in time?

I think it's 3 but they have let me check in early every time I've ever been.

    How much for 1 night?

Varies by season, day of the week, what events/concerts are in town, etc. Prices will also change as the dates near and rooms fill up.

We stayed here for an April weekend for a country music concert that was in town…read more I made the reservation in December. The price was very reasonable for one of the newly remodeled king suites in the North Tower. I was able to pay half at booking and the other half at check-in. I got an email the morning of check-in allowing me to bypass the regular check-in process and check in online. I was very disappointed when I arrived to the hotel realizing I had to get in a long line and do the check-in process again even though I already did it and put my credit card down online. What is the point of offering early check-in? The second disappointment was the elevator situation. There are six elevators in the north tower. It appears that all of them are working. However, it was always a long line of people to go up and down. We got to our room, which was spacious and nicely decorated. However, it was not very clean. I had to use Clorox wipes and go over all the surfaces which still had unknown substances on them as well as a buildup of dust. For just being renovated, the room is still very dated. It was mostly cosmetic changes not a true renovation. On the plus side of the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the water pressure in the shopper was fantastic. The biggest issue I had during my stay was the lack of maid service. We called down on Saturday morning to advise that we were leaving for the afternoon and would like some fresh towels and our room serviced. When we got back Saturday evening, the only thing that had been done was some new towels were thrown on the couch. The garbage was not removed. Neither was the old towels, and the bed was not made. When I did the online check-in and specifically asked if I would like the room cleaned while I was there and I checked, yes. While we were here, we tried Guy Fieri's Mexican restaurant. It was fantastic. The service was great. It was probably the best guacamole I have ever had. I highly recommend making a reservation. We had reservations at the range steakhouse the next night. It is a nice restaurant but very dated. There are nice views of the river. The stakes were very overpriced for what we were given. The lobster mac & cheese was pretty terrible. Our waitress was very nice and quick though. Check out was easy since I was actually able to do that online and not have to wait in line again. Parking was easy and free.

The casino and hallways also feel old, dirty, and overdue for renovations. The carpet looks worn out, the overall atmosphere feels dated, and the property just doesn't feel very well maintained compared to other casinos in Laughlin. The location and river access are nice, but the hotel seriously needs updates and better crowd management for the elevators.

Only saw one person get a payout the entire weekend. The Mexican restaurant's line was insane, maybe should have been better prepared and open later for concert weekends. The coffee show employees were incredibly slow. Always a long line. Their process is so outdated. The good. : They have a Fatburger, the drinks were cheap, as in 2 slushy drinks with a quick pour of alcohol was $7 We opted for the kids pool as I didn't sleep at the night before I needed a nap. We tried the adult pool there was 1 million people in the pool on the deck alive band. Not what I was looking for so kid pull it was which worked out great. Happy that I had that option. They also serve those tall slushy drinks, which we got virgin one to take to the pool. I believe there was bowling in movies, but I didn't really see that portion of it and I think they have bingo. Oh, they do have a kids arcade so there's lots to do and it was pretty clean for the most part

When they did come, they sprayed the moths with something and vacuumed them up. Even after that, we were still waking up with moths in the bed, moths getting into our luggage, and moths all over the curtains, ceiling, and bathroom. Moths were also in the fridge when we initially arrived in the room. I understand that insects are a natural part of the environment and that seasonal bugs can happen, but the extent of the issue in our room was far beyond what we expected, especially when other guests staying with us at the hotel did not have the same problem in their rooms. Another concern for us was that the balcony door lock was not functioning properly while we were staying on the 21st floor with a toddler in the room. We reported this during the stay. I sent photos and contacted guest services afterward hoping the concerns would be taken more seriously, but was ultimately told there was nothing they could do. Very disappointed with the condition of the room and how the situation was handled. We used to love staying here but it has definitely gone downhill in the recent years.

Not super overwhelming like others had mentioned. The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean and very roomy! There was no hair left laying around in the bathroom as previously mentioned in other posts. The water pressure in the shower was great, however the shower head was very low. My husband had to squat just to get wet. The toilet was also very low which was a little weird to me. The room came with an iron, ironing board and a blow dryer. Our end table did have an issue with the drawer, it kept opening but it wasn't a deal breaker!! I just so happened to have tape and that did the trick. The temperature knob in our mini fridge was missing so it took us a while to figure out how to make it cooler. The ac kept the room nice and cool but it was very loud, sounded like it was struggling big time. They had a smart TV, we were able to access netflix, amazin prime and another service (i cant remember) The arcade was decent but was prob better for smaller kids. Our kids still enjoyed it. The family pool was beautiful with plenty of sitting areas. It was about 90 something degrees when we went but the water was too cold for me! The kids and my husband had fun on the slides they had. They don't allow outside food or drinks but they had a little bar/snack shack. We did have to pay an additional 15$ for an extra pool wristband. 4 were given for a double bed room. The private beach was very cute but we didn't really spend any time there unfortunately. The ice machine was working and was a short distance from our room. We got panda express pretty late in the day, the food was a little sad but it was expected. We were located in the central tower, maybe all the terrible reviews werw from different areas of the hotel? Who knows. Oh, there only seemed to be luggage carts for those who were parking in valet, that part kinda sucked. We were also a ahirt distance from a gas station, Mc donalds, Starbucks and a few grocery markets. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and will def be visiting again.

It's more secluded and less crowded, which can be a plus or minus depending on what you're looking for. The crowd tends to be older and calm. It's relaxing and not a party vibe. 2. The casino is VERY smoky and if you stay in the hotel here, the smoke is in the corridors too. There ventilation needs to be improved. Also the casino entrance is an open atrium that leads to the hotel hallways upstairs which adds to the smoke everywhere. 3. The pool and beach is very nice and chill. There's a bigger pool for families and kids and a separate pool hot tub section for adults alone. The pool is not heated so it's too cold to swim in the winter months but the hot tub is nice. 4. The rooms are nothing special but they're clean and do its job. The housekeeping was interesting as they did come and clean the bathroom and refill the toiletries, but the beds were sloppily made and the pillows simply thrown at the headboard. 5. Service at check in and at the restaurants were fine. The service at Mojave Coffee was great. 6. The casino is a good size with mostly a lot machines and electronic games. 7. There is a movie theater on site and an arcade which is good for kids. Bottom line: it's a fun place to get away if you know what to expect. It's good for casual gambling, laying by the pool, and a no frills yet fun experience.
