We only came here for the Casino. Upon entering the casino floor. I noticed the smell and it smelled like urine. Not sure if they clean the carpet or if their senior clients may have had accidents while enjoying their games. As I walked further in the casino. The smell was noticeable. The slot machine was decent and they did have some of the games in Vegas. The machines were spaced good amount of space from each other. We had lunch at the cafe and it was pretty good. booked a hotel directly with the front desk late at night and showed the front desk clerk the Expedia price to make sure their price was the same. She confirmed that it was. The price was around $100 for 3 nights, and I asked three separate times if that was the total. Each time, she confirmed it was. I ended up being charged $237. Even after accounting for the resort fees, I was still way overcharged compared to what I was told. Very disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I won't stay here again. I come to Laughlin twice a month and the last couple times I've been staying here. It was a good hotel until this last visit. I asked for room service at around 2pm. They said perfect we will get it done. We went to the river for HOURS. Came back no room service had been done. Called again for room service. They told us it would be about an hour. Which was perfect meanwhile we shower and get ready. Lady comes in 10 min. I asked her to give me 2 min meanwhile my man gets dressed since he just got done showering. She left. We left the room and we came back within 8 min. She's not there. We call AGAIN the guy basically said they can't do any room service anymore. I go downstairs and asked them what's going on with room service ?? The guy tried figuring it out and said it's actually going to get done this time before 11pm. We left and didn't come back until 2am. STILL NO ROOM SERVICE ! I had to go down again to the front desk and complain. This is unbelievable. We did end up getting the bed sheets and towels eventually at around 2:30am but we did have to make our own bed. Which was fine since we at least finally got them. Room service here sucks. Mind you we also had to check out at 11am. We stayed here from Wednesday-Saturday with no room service any day. You might have to call a day before to schedule a room service. About a month ago or so. We got a room looking like this in the bathroom. LIKE WHAT?? They didn't have the hot water working in this room. We're not staying here. We're actually staying at the RV park nearby, but our friends are staying here so we will update with reviews on rooms, etc. the Casino is very neat and clean. They have a wide variety of machines and we will be grabbing some players cards after dinner. Totally not impressed with the brewery. According to our friends that stayed in the hotel, their room was not clean when they checked in, and there was actually someone's razor in the shower. I stay here pretty frequently for work. The property itself isn't the most lavish and modern. However, it is clean and upkept. Normal wear and tear for its age. Ample parking and a free shutttle available to travel between properties. Buffets are far and few in southern Nevada so it was nice to see the cafe offered a breakfast buffet option. Brew Brothers is the main thing here with a variety of American bites and refreshments. One thing that I love the most about this location is BINGOOOO! The hall ladies are friendly and fabulous. Every session is different, unlike Vegas. However, they offer helpful info sheets to easily walk you through the rounds and the payouts. Judy is my goodluck charm! One thing that I do love is that when I buy electronic, I can pull whatever packs I want out to play on paper instead of having to buy extra side packs to get my dobber fix. The best part? The entire hotel smells like Tobacco . I was missed lead by the website stating it was a river front hotel and family friendly. They do have movie night at the pool only on wensdays for kids but on every other day kids must be out of the pool at 7pm crazy cause it's 115 degrees right the 24 hour arcade was closed the pizza place was closed and the charge for 4 devices on wife was 100$ thankfully the front desk waved those fees for us . Horrible night sleep. They allowed the house keeper to work tell well past 11pm at night they were banging around and keeping us up. She ended up being in both rooms on the sides of us all night. I have never had a stay where house keeper where there that late. Then on top of everything after a shitty night sleep they would not even be courteous enough to give us a late check out after keeping us up for hours. PS I go to bed at 9pm and feel more exhausted from this stay than rested. Very disrespectful of a hotel if you ask me . I payed for a relaxing getaway and unfortunately got the opposite. Yikes! The front desk staff was great, but that's the only positive thing I can really say. The rooms are old and need updating, but I expected that. What I didn't expect was that the room would look like it hadn't been cleaned for months. All dressers, tables, the tv and shower curtain were covered in grime (see my pic). There were long dark hairs on the bed and the pillows were so flat and hard that I felt like I was sleeping on a door mat. I'd chosen the Trop because of its Caesar's Resorts affiliation- I've previously stayed at Caesar's Palace, Paris, the Flamingo¹ and was reasonably confident that the Trop would suitably reward my good faith. ¹ I stayed at the Flamingo Hilton, where Elvis Presley once pioneered the entire "artist in residency" format, in the summer of 1994. Bill Clinton sat in the Oval, prior to staining Monica's blue dress; gas was $1.21/g and our rooms cost only $21/night. As it turns out, my faith was repeatedly challenged throughout this getaway weekender that was more "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" mini-vacay turned amok than "Roman Holiday." Lemme, your disheveled but faithful correspondent, recount the ways our expectations were steadily torpedoed: Musical rooms - We changed our room three times in the first 18 hours! We pivoted from room #1 because it lacked the in-suite fridge that this diabetic requires (and had pre-paid for on Expedia). Room #2 was just fine...'til I discovered an awful flood on the bathroom and carpeted hall floors due to... Nasty Plumbing - The toilet scarcely, lazily flushed mere deposits of the watery variety and the bathroom sink failed to drain. Until 1am, when I sleepily traipsed to the bathroom then nearly slipped and fell on the floor, deluged with black, stinky effluence that had apparently disgorged itself from the pipes underneath the sink! Vending Machines from Hell - Several vending machines, ranging from ICE VENDING MACHINES to soda dispensers and even one proudly peddling the Cake Boss Buddy Valastro's famous cakes were all marked with glum "Out of Order" signs. Tight w/ Blankets - The hotel withholds blankets. The beds are dressed with nothing but sheets and a very thin comforter. We hadta request two extra blankets from the housekeeping staff. Not all of our stay was an abject failure. -On-site restaurants include Guy Fieri's "Burro Borracho," (Nacho Average Taco Joint, the poster proclaims) the Brew Brothers and Carnegie's where we enjoyed a "Buy One Full Price, Get 2nd for $1" special on dinner. -The plantation shutters are a nice, whimsical touch in a chain whose rooms lurch from contemporary furniture (good!) to hideous popcorned ceilings ("Three's Company" demands it's set back!) Pro Tip- We did not realize til our arrival that the Tropicana actually is perched ACROSS (CASINO DRIVE) from the Colorado River- Most of its competitor venues like Riverside, Edgewater, Aquarius directly abut the mighty river. AVAIL YOURSELF of the oft-running River Taxi to use the private beach at sister property Harrah's Laughlin Resort! Assistant Hotel Manager Sache "Renae" Mark's deserves plaudits for resolving our complaint to our satisfaction. Renae not only graciously stayed a few minutes beyond her appointed shift departure time to help us, but slashed 30% offve our bill as a token of good will for our plumbing fiasco. My wife and I are an avid Laughlin Nevada visitor, and we decided to spend a few days at the Tropicana for my birthday. In the past this has been one of our favorite Hotels to stay at. However, times do change, as such, the Tropicana has also changed and not for the good. We were placed on the 23rd floor. The toilet ran super slow, always seemed like it was going to overflow with every flush. Oh the topper, we only had hot water the first night. And this wasn't just our room, it was multiple rooms and multiple people that we spoke with. My thoughts, "Really, with all of the gambling monies, you can't prepare for this emergencies and invest in better equipment." Secondly, the hostess' that walk around while your gambling were absolutely no where to be found. In the days we were there, my wife had only one bring her a drink and her she had to flag down. I, myself, never had anyone walk up to me. And with the amount of children running around, and minors sitting in slot machine chairs, I told my wife "this has become the Circus Circuis of Laughlin." My suggestion, if your an adult or adult couple who want to spend adult time at a good casino, then you may want to try out Harra's. read more

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of this hotel. It's too bad when Caesar's took over that they didn't do room renovations on all the rooms. We stayed here on 12/31/2025 to celebrate NYE. It's not a hotel we normally stay @ when visiting Laughlin but it was inexpensive. The room we had was soooo plain! There wasn't one picture up on the walls. No refrigerator in the room, barely any outlets & not one close to my bed. The TV was super small...time to upgrade guys! Our view out of our window was of the parking garage. We just stayed one night & was really only in our room to sleep. We stayed out late & ended up passing out after getting back to our room that we over slept & woke up around 11:20am. Ooops...check out is @ 11am but no one came knocking on our door so we quickly got up & headed out. We never used the shower so I can't tell you how the water pressure is. Check in was easy & I didn't have to wait in line very long. Lady @ the desk was nice. The one thing that I really enjoyed was how packed the casino was. It's never that busy anymore but it was NYE but after it was over the casino was empty. I did enjoy playing Wizard Of Oz machine & actually won a little bit this trip. They have a really nice gift shop. I don't like staying over on this side & away from the river. We did walk over to Riverside as that's one of our favorite casino's & it's about a 30min walk over there. I kinda wished I paid the extra money to stay elsewhere. I had a great time at the Tropicana Casino and lounging in the bar area. There's a huge parking lot and plenty of amenities inside to keep you busy, from boutiques and an arcade to a pool area, food, and beverages. Like many casinos, when you gamble, drinks are complimentary. My hubby got free Coors Light while he was gambling. I played the slot machines, which were fun, and I also played Three Card Poker, which was a good time. I really appreciate the atmosphere here. They have tall ceilings and a well thought out layout. I'm writing this review as I'm currently here in the hotel room. I should've looked at the reviews on Yelp first before booking. This hotel is very disorganized! Definitely one of the worst hotels I've been to. If you book a room here, the elevator situation is insane. I've never had to wait in a huge line trying to get to my room. I asked a worker if there were stairs that we could use to avoid the massive line and she straight up lied to my face. Once we got to our floor, we checked to see if there was a stair well and sure enough there was a door at the end of our floor hallway leading to the stairs. Also housekeeping just came by knocking loudly at our door at 8:45am when check out time is at 11:00am. We even had the "room occupied" sign hanging on the door handle. Very rude and not okay to disturb guests in their rooms when it's not even close to the check out time. As far as the room itself, A/C doesn't work well, pillows are very thin, and mattress/bedding isn't comfortable. It is crazy and a shame that the Tropicana is in relation to Caesar's because it is not on the same level whatsoever as the one in Vegas. Way below it actually. I'd recommend not coming here. Also to add some of the workers here seem to hate their jobs. I will be booking at another hotel next time I come here and avoiding this hotel at all costs. read more

Took a quick trip to Laughlin for a family event and decided to switch things up since I usually stay at the Riverside. This place felt a lot smaller than I expected, and getting back to my room was a bit confusing at times. There also weren't many dining options, which was a little disappointing That said, the room itself was the highlight of my stay. It was clean, comfortable, and the bed was great. I had a window with a view of the surroundings and the morning sunshine coming through made it cozy over while the property had some downsides (for me) the room definitely stood out and made the stay enjoyable. read more

The arcade inside the casino double charged us. I notified the employees attending the arcade immediately. They took our information and said their manager would contact us. When we got up to our room and it looked like some one had urinated in the toilet when we arrived there. The room was dirty. The bathroom shower water spilled out all the way to the toilet. We stayed there 2 nights for fourth of July weekend. It was 120 degrees. All the windows to every floor were filthy dirty. Staff looked over worked under staff. No refrigerator in our room. The ice machine maker was broken 2 night 3 days. And the manager told us to find ice on a different floor. I asked the manager if she can have someone bring us ice said they couldn't. We had to go to the main lobby get extra towels. Because the water from the shower kept spilling out. The hotel price was not inexpensive. I would make this your last pick if possible. read more

The hotel is pretty standard considering the price. I appreciate the customer service although security took a while to open the door after I left my key in the room. I did notice on the way in that the elevator was shaky and could use some floor cleaning. The room was clean and well stocked. The tv offered live tv with a good variety of shows but the movies were a whopping $25 each. There are a few nicely arranged shops and restaurant/ cafes. Check in was easy. Was put in the promenade tower. Lots of elevators and the room was spacious. Carpet was pretty clean no major stains. Bed was a little worn out but worked. Room was clean and the shower pressure was fantastic. Plus the water got really hot!! There was no refrigerator but it had a coffee maker. You have to call and ask for housekeeping to be done daily or they just won't do it. Learned that the hard way by a rude man that answers the phone in the evening. Casino didn't hit but that's pretty typical. They kept the AC on very cold. We ate breakfast every morning and I had read that Cherrie was the best waitress and I have to agree! We went to Laughlin and stayed at the Tropicana for my husband's 60th birthday. Though the people were very nice, the room was atrocious. It was so disgusting. The chair looked like it had specimens from at least 10 men on it. Everything is out of date and worn out. I paid extra to upgrade thinking it would be a better room and it wasn't. We stayed at Tropicana Laughlin for the weekend to watch a local band. The band was great, and the casino itself was clean, which made for a good start. Dining Experience We ate at Brew Brothers. The food was very good, but the service was a major letdown. Even though we had reservations, it took about 20 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated, our server never came by to take our order or even offer refills. We eventually had to call the manager, but even after that, no one checked on us. The food took about an hour to arrive, and while the manager did apologize, the service never improved. Overall, it was a very frustrating dining experience. Room Conditions We specifically asked for one of the "renovated" rooms, but if this was renovated, it must have been 10 years ago. The door looked like it had been kicked in, the bathroom door knob was loose and wobbly, and the toilet seat was also loose. While the main room itself didn't have stains and looked acceptable, the bathroom looked tired and used up. Overall Impression The entertainment and casino were positives, but the dining and hotel room fell way short of expectations. My advice: if you're visiting Laughlin, you may be better off staying at Golden Nugget or Aquarius. read more

Casino Floor: It had a lot of great machines to play with. I love the neon bingo. Suck the tables start late and end early, even on the weekends. Pool: The pool is nice and big. I had a few problems with it. I believe the security system needs to be stricter. "Adult Pool Hours" are meant for adults, but plenty of teenagers and kids were there. Also, parents hid their kids in the water so they won't be caught. It also sucked that the bar closed at 8 p.m. right on the dot. I have to say, though, that the coconut margaritas were delicious. Elevators: On the day I was there, only four elevators worked, and I waited for around thirty to an hour. We couldn't use the stairwell because it was scorching 140 degrees inside there. I had a great experience here. My check In experience was with Jayden late Thursday was great, as he was kind and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable in the west tower facing the pool/river. Is this a 5 star diamond hotel? No, but pleasantly surprised. House keeping crew on the 23rd floor, very nice and courteous. SHOT OUT TO THE BARTENDERS in the middle casino area. Fun and nice, the only issue i had when i went down to extend my stay, that lady was not very friendly and would not offer me the online price so we paid extra, not that happy. Stayed over Valentine's Day weekend 2026. I will start with the good. The room was clean and the bed was actually comfortable. We got a room with a river view and that was nice to look at. Check in was smooth and easy. The not so good though....no hot water!! We found out it wasn't just us, multiple guests had no hot water for showers. I also noticed on the ceiling what couldd be a leak but as there was no visible dripping, I figured it was fine. I was sad to see Passagio's is a shell of what it used to be. I'm still sad the little pastry place under the stairs is gone. The Brew Brothers restaurant was good with great food. Carnegies was ok and good if you need a quick bite. Then we went out to dinner and when we came back later that night we had a huge line to get the elevators. To find out only one of 4 elevators were working. Took 30 minutes to get into the elevator to get to our room. I called front desk and they said they can move us to the other tower. That would save $20. That was more on an insult than anything. We checked out this hotel and casino on a recent day trip to Laughlin. Most of the hotels in Laughlin are pretty much the same. They're not new, but they're not really old. One good thing about this hotel is that it is a Caesars property, so if you are a member you can get free comp nights. WORST Caesars Property I've ever stayed at the ice machine doesn't work, no hot water in the shower, from front desk to housekeeping they act like you're inconveniencing their day. Only nice person I've met working here is Jennifer in Carnegie Cafe. Rooms are time capsules of the start of Laughlin the most updated thing in the room is a 2011 white/yellow pages lost safely in one of the drawers. No refrigerators or safes in the room. Absolutely horrible hotel, I've been on countless trips and this hotel has been the only one I write a review on. First off the internet is horrendous, the AC is older than George Washington and does not work when it is about 80 degrees in the room and it is 110 degrees outside which shows the AC does not work what so ever. My family found blood on the sheets which shows room service obviously doesn't do their job, we even called the front desk multiple times to try and get towels which they never gave us any so we had to go complain for some. Another reason is that the toilet does not flush at all, and the elevators feel so unstable and even has a 1-2inch opening revealing how far it goes down, you can easily hurt your feet entering. 0-10 hotel I seriously do not recommend to anyone!!!! Don't stay here!! When We made the reservation over the phone we were told we could have a room with a pull out couch. When we checked in we were informed that our room had two beds, pull out couches can't be In rooms with two beds. The person who check us in was very apologetic about the misinformation we had been provided when we made the reservation. She asked my son, who was with me, his name. She asked me for my credit, /debit card and said she'd comp a room for the inconvenience, the charges would fall off in a few days It was just a hold. She gave my son 2 room keys. Naturally we were happy and couldn't believe how nice that was of them to do that. Days later the hold changed to a charge. I called customer service and was told they didn't see any notes indicating a comped room. They put me through the front desk. I spoke to Renee a manager who apologized for the misunderstanding, but there was nothing she can do other than refund $40 for resort fees. I explained to her several times that I did not ask for a room that this was their employee who offered it. She said because we used the room we had to be charged. Of course we used the room. They offered us a free room. What would anyone else do? Why wouldn't I believe the employee at the desk who said the charges would go back? It was just a hold.
