We had to flag down the manager (owner's wife) to take our dinner order. She then proceeded to be condescending to my husband after we had been at the restaurant for over an hour and a half and still hadn't gotten our food. His food never came and my skirt steak was over cooked (well done when I asked for medium) and incredibly salty when it arrived almost two hours after I had set foot in the restaurant. The table next to us had been there before us and got their food after we got ours. No apologies from their managers. This may have been the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. We came with a group of 11, and they had a beautiful outdoor space that worked perfectly for our group. Service was attentive, and everything we tried was fresh.I ordered the grilled lobster with seafood in garlic sauce and tostones. It was delicious, although definitely pricey. The lobster is sold by the pound, and the smallest they had was about 1.5 lbs at $60+ per plate, so keep that in mind. Not pictured was my daughter's churrasco, which I had to try and WOW. I'm pretty sure it was entraña, and it was some of the best steak I had on the trip. For dessert, I had the coconut flan, and it was SO good. Definitely my favorite way to end the meal. Puerto Rico is expensive, and I'd consider this mid-level pricey, but compared to some of our meals in San Juan, this one felt worth it. Talk about great food and service!…read more Although there's always a line to get in, it does move pretty quickly. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, especially since we were travelling with our child. The manager was also very accommodating and friendly. The menu is fairly simple. You choose a dish and 2 sides. First night, we ordered the blood sausage for an appetizer. I ordered the fried chicken with rice and beans as an entree. My husband ordered the mero (grouper). Surprisingly, the blood sausage was probably the best one I've tried so far. The chicken was fried perfectly, not greasy at all. The rice and beans perfect compliments to the dish. The grouper stole the show though. It was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best fish I've ever had. A few days after, we decided to have dinner here again after my son wanted to eat there. The waiter from the first night and manager recognized us (from the time before) and thanked us for coming back. This time, I ordered the mero with arroz con habichuelas. The grouper was even better than the 1st time I had ordered it. We also tried the juices (orange, passion fruit, tamarind, and soursop) and all of them were so fresh. We loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
