The product (Hydropool) seems great in our first month of use... but the vendor's "service" in the entire transaction has been quite disappointing... delays, unreturned calls, damaged product (gouged finish along top of one end of the spa finish), incomplete installation (not enough screws for cover snaps, which I installed myself), and still waiting on cover lift/shelf to be installed. (Fortunately, I have a good back... for now.) There was no orientation for new owners, although, upon my second request, I was sent a Drive copy of the manufacture's owner's manual, which has been very helpful, as has Todd at Red Rock's Spa in Hurricane. read more

Do not buy a Bullfrog spa from these guys. I did and deeply regret it. Spent over $10,000 and have had nothing but problems. Am now told you cannot adjust spa flows while pumps are running due to poor quality of valves used in the tub. Tub is only a few months old. When I went in for help today with the valves they just agreed it was a problem and shrugged it off as nothing they could do. Blown fuses, cheap plastic parts breaking, loud pumps and poor quality. I have spent more time fixing than soaking. Dealer has not been helpful at all. 3rd Hot tub I have owned over the years. By far, the worst quality and performance. read more

My husband and I bought a spa from Tropical back in Jan. We were told our spa would be here in May. We didn't receive it until the middle of July. It took many phone calls to finally have it delivered. Once delivered, they still haven't finished the complete installment. We are still waiting for the final installments of our cover. We've paid for all of it and can't get them to come complete the process. I've called multiple times and am always told the people I need to talk to are either "in a meeting" or "not in today" but they take my number and tell me they will call me back "first thing tomorrow." I have NEVER received a call back:( If you buy from this store just be prepared for very unorganized unprofessionalism. read more

UPDATE: While I did experience some frustration on the purchase, the manager did finally contact me and we talked it out. She went out of her way to keep us informed and even called to follow up after the spa was delivered. Times are tough for all of us and I have to give them kudos for turning the situation around. It's all about managing peoples' expectations. I'm hoping management took that to heart. UPDATE. STILL waiting on spa. Finally got the motor we requested last Wednesday but it wasn't't sent with the cord. Service dept stated that they requested overnight deliver for the cord and hoped to deliver Monday. Here it is Monday. My husband called and they don't know where the cord is. If the spa isn't here by Friday this order will be cancelled as breach of contract and I will inform EVERYONE that I know to avoid this company. Absolutely no communication skills and extremely poor customer service. Went into the store on April 8 and paid in full for a hot tub. Everything went smoothly. The spa needed to be modified to 110. We were told the part was in stock and the sales person said we should have it in two weeks. We called a few times to check status. Only once, was a call returned by the manager. Their attitude was anything but supportive. In fact, I was so irritated by the lack of communication and attitude that I threatened to cancel the purchase when the contract deliver date wasn't made. The manager thought that was amusing, stating that it wouldn't matter if we did and then said they could deliver it this week but we couldn't plug it in. Then she laughed. Nice. read more

Horrible customer service. My spa did not work properly for three months from the first day of delivery. When the spa was delivered I was immediately told that it might not work properly at startup and instructed what to do if it didn't. This involved plumbing fittings being removed and fixing an air lock. I attempted the fix which did not work and ended up breaking a fitting. I went back to Tropical Spas to order the fitting and get help. They never ordered the fitting nor did they offer assistance to remedy the situation. I ended up ordering the part from another Bullfrog Spa dealer out of state. I love the spa now that it's functioning properly but will never do business with or recommend TROPICAL SPAS IN ST GEORGE UTAH LOCATED ON RED HILLS PKWY to anyone. read more

Excellent job! Everything was on time and beautiful. Despite the pandemic, Tropical Pools shined. They made our house our home.

Don't use them to maintain your pool! They ripped us off for chemicals for years and didn't clean the filters as agreed to. The pool needed a water Change but kept dumping large amounts of chemicals in it instead. I got a lot of complaints from the tenant because of the poorly cleaned pool. I trusted them because I lived in another part of the country and couldn't monitor their quality very good, but they violated our trust. read more

I wish I could give this place a negative star review. My elderly mother had them fix her hot tub. Before they would even start they requested her credit card number and told her it would be about $1200. They have since come out to her home to fix the tub six times still never have fixed it and charged her credit card $1800. She could really use her tub fixed she has cancer and it's the only thing that helps with the pain. These people are to be ashamed of their self for taking advantage of elderly people. We will be going to see a lawyer. read more

My parents purchased a hot tub from this company a few months back being told the delivery date was beginning of October due to COVID.. understandable. Now here we are the beginning of October without hearing A SINGLE word.. anxiously awaiting the delivery.. finally they call to see if they had the date wrong.. AND were just told now they won't be expecting it until December... oh and guess what?! They blamed it on COVID. Yes, COVID can be to blame for a lot of things.. Very upset that there isn't anything less than one star. Ordered our spa in April of 2021 was told that there would be a four month wait. Gave a $2500 deposit and was now told that it will be the end of October for delivery? How long is someone supposed to wait? Needless to say, we're stuck waiting, what else can we do? Bought a Bullfrog Spa from them in January and can't believe the difference it has made on my sore back. It's awesome to have the choice of which Jetpak you want to have in your seat. Sometimes you want the heavy massage and sometimes you just want a lighter massage. Quality hot tubs and with the Frog Ease mineral water system it has been the easiest hot tub I have owned. Would recommend Bullfrog Spas and Tropical as a place to do business with. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I bought a spa from this place to replace my old one and it was the worst experience I have had in a long time. Between the lies and shoddy customer service I just can't believe it. I picked out a spa and had the owner, Bruce come up and take a look at my old spa and he told me the one I wanted wouldn't fit but he had one that would work. Well great except I wasn't able to see it until it was delivered. I was promised delivery on the week of December 30th and that I could finance the spa. Come December 30 I visit the store to get a more definitive date and Bruce tells me that is is scheduled for delivery on the 7th and he doesn't know where I came up with the 30th, delivery on the 30th was written on the invoice Bruce had to have seen this, even then it wasn't delivered until the 9th. Only after delivery do I find out that they do not hook up the spa because they do not have an electrician. I talk to my electrician friend and describe the wiring to him and he informs me that the spa they sold me is 220 volts and the one I am replacing is 110. I call Bruce to inform him of this and I cannot get ahold of him, I am told he is with a customer, three hours later after repeated calls I finally get ahold of Bruce only to hear more BS about he didn't know my old spa was 110. Is all I did was describe the wiring to my buddy and he knew what the problem was so even if Bruce didn't realize the voltage HE SHOULD HAVE, he does own the business after all and is supposed to be knowledgeable about his business. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS. I will say that the people who install the tubs are great folks it is too bad they have an owner with the morals of a Wolverine. read more

These people are truly horrible. We placed a deposit for a spa on or about September 15 for delivery on October 31. By December 15 we still had no spa! All promises no service. Bruce didn't even want to call us once a week for updates on the delay! Thankfully we finally received our deposit back. Do business here at your own risk. Purchased hand rail and miscellaneous items for the fiberglass pool that this company installed for previous owner in 2001. We were overcharged by Bruce who said the credit would be applied to the additional pool cover items he would order for us. He never ordered the additional items and never refunded the overcharged amount. Many phone calls never returned. When I did get through to him on the phone, he blamed everyone else for the delay, his office staff, the pool cover supplier, etc. Now over a year later, still no refund. We were able to get the items we needed from a Las Vegas business who is professional, knowledgable, has better pricing and quick delivery. I spend tens of thousands of dollars on our pool and after countless times of trying to get our many issues resolved respectfully I'm resorting to leaving a review to protect other people from this same bad experience. They installed the wrong pipe joints under the cement and had to saw through the cement and cracked it... and now We have a leaking pipe that they say isn't covered, we have had to replace our heating element 3 times in less than 3 years with no honoring of the warranties-even when they were caring for our pools, they put in the wrong, size Pool filter so it wasn't keeping our pool clean, they put the slide in the wrong place, crooked basketball hoop, and that's not even mentioning the so many hassles along the way that caused the process to not be enjoyable at all. Nobody answers your questions but says somebody will get back with you. Nobody ever does. I am a very patient person and would have been satisfied if they had only had a shred of integrity and stood by their work and their products. I understand stuff happens... but stand behind your work and take care of your mistakes. DO NOT use this pool company. Your experience will not be an enjoyable one. read more

This company has HORRIBLE customer service! My husband and I went to their store a month ago and made possibly the easiest sale ever. We knew exactly what we wanted and it took less than an hour to conclude the transaction. Then the fun began. The spa was scheduled for delivery on Monday. At 3 p.m. I suggested to my husband he might want to give them a call, since we had been waiting all day for the delivery. He learned that an employee had called in sick and they had cancelled all their scheduled deliveries. These things happen, but do you think they could have let us know? We rescheduled the delivery for between 9 and 10 on Wednesday morning. That time rolled past and at 11:21 my husband called them, only to be reassured that they would be there within the hour. Please note this is them making the commitments, not us making demands. They finally showed up about 1 p.m. By this time I was fuming. They installed the spa, then told my husband that the information we had been given at the store when we purchased, and therefore relied upon when planning the installation, had been incorrect. There is not adequate space for the cover lifter where the spa is installed. Further, there is a large scratch running vertically down the cabinet on the side facing the yard. I guess I can live with the scratch, although with an investment of this size, I shouldn't have to. The cover lifter is another story. When I bought my first spa 30 years ago I could manhandle the cover, but now I am getting to the point where that's not an option. Now what? I really don't know how to proceed. The delivery folks were nice but clueless, not surprising, about the promises that were made at the time of purchase. read more

Went in to get a simple pressure sensor. It was a weekend and I really wanted to get my tub up and running. Tropical had a generic brand sensor that goes for $20 online. They wanted $66. I bent over and paid only because I really wanted the tub running. I completely understand the need to make a profit, but 3X the going rate of online retailers!??? Could have been a long term customer, but I won't go there again. read more

We bought a spa today from Tropical Fiberglass Pools. Owner Bruce Hardy was exceptionally informative and low pressure, and sales manager Tammy went out of her way to make sure everything was clear with respect to features, warranty etc. We felt they gave us a good, fair deal and noted that they did not try to push expensive add-ons. I get the sense they are good people to work with over time. Definitely worth talking to them if you are thinking about a spa. read more

We first discovered them through a show at Costco, were given tons of info from the salesperson there, experienced the same situation with the team in their store and have been super happy with the responsiveness and attentiveness to each of our questions as first time above ground spa owners. Had a problem with it this year and they were there the next day, on a Saturday from more than an hour away. Repaired my hot tub on the spot no questions asked! This place takes your credit card number and charges a fee just to drive to your location. They don't do any type of repair on the first visit and charge a labor fee. If you call them to come out again, they don't have the right equipment to do that job so that is another trip charge as well as an hourly fee. Neil and his people removed an existing pool from our neighbors and installed it at our home. He assured us it was a good pool and that they have done this many times. The actual installation that they did was terrible! The pool is so out of level that there is 6" difference in the waterline from one end to the other. They installed an led light put it off center by about another 6". We also paid them for an automatic pool cover installation. The underground box for the cover spool which is installed in concrete is too narrow and too shallow to even install the spool in, and on top of that, they ran the electric supply to the wrong end of the box. Neil also sold me a used pool heater (for what I found is the cost of a new one) that was set up for natural gas and he assured me they would convert it to propane. This was not done and I found out from the manufacturer that it could not be converted. After the pool installation was finished they also informed me that they did not run long enough wire from the pool light so it could not be connected to power (now under concrete). There were numerous other issues, but once they had their money (over $20,000) (that's just installation, I supplied the pool) they refused to ever come back to address any of these issues. Neil seemed like a very nice responsible businessman, but I have never been so disappointed with anyone or any company that I have ever dealt with. The job was done so poorly that we are having to have the whole thing dug up and scrapped. read more

I have used tropical pools on and off for 3 years for pool maintenance service. Every year I get frustrated with their lack of customer service and cancel them. Then I need help opening or closing the pool and I call them back hoping they can take care of what I need on a one time visit status. But I usually end up disappointed. From not showing up the scheduled day, no phone calls to let me know they won't be coming and problems with the pool that go unfixed. The latest issue was when they closed my pool at the end of 2015. I took the water sample to them, they provided the chemicals and then they shut down the pool, I called them to schedule opening in April, after 3 calls and unanswered messages I finally got the owner to answer. He scheduled service for Monday, but no one showed, called and left message but no answer. I later got a text saying it rained so they would be there tomorrow. Still no show and answer on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. On Thursday I left message saying don't bother I will find someone else. 10 minutes later I get a text that they are at the house now opening it. (No one was home.) One week later I took a water sample over to their shop and was told that my cyanuric acid was too high and the pool would have to be drained. Through several conversations with the owner he has determined that the cause is from using cheap Chlorine. But the water sample was good when we close the pool and his people are the only ones who have touched it. Regardless they except no responsibility and I am left to drain the pool. They have lost my trust for the last time I will handle the problem by myself and not call them again read more
