In three visits there was nothing positive about Randell or Randell's Pool Service…read more As a new home owner in the area Randell's Pool Service was recommendation by a neighbor. Even though he charges almost twice as much as I have paid in the past I didn't challenge his fee. I have owned a pool in all of our homes for the past thirty + years so I understand pool maintenance and chemical balancing. I have also learned over the years that a pool can consume more water and electricity than necessary if you don't pay attention to it. Our pool is in a windy desert environment so I find it necessary to sweep, vacuum and skim our pool between any pool service visit. After about 20 days of Randell's Pool Service I found Randell performed generally very poor especially when given an additional task of cleaning the tile. The tile looked as bad when he was done as when he started, and he didn't touch the spa tiles which had ring marks. Perhaps he just does pool service not the spa? I guess the final straw for him was when I asked him to reduce the run time from 8 or 10 hours to 6, heck the pool water is cold and no one is going in it. His retort was he will not provide pool service unless it was under his pump run times. I said okay we'll do it your way but he just couldn't stop pushing the point that I was his subordinate; his attitude was that I'm lucky to have him and said if I didn't like it he would leave and refund a portion of the prepaid fee, I asked him to leave. After he quit or was terminated I measured the chemical balances and everything was out of proper range, as it was the week before. I've always thought when you are in the service industry it's important to provide customers with a positive experience otherwise your service is worthless.

From the first week service started, I was blown away. The service itself was done perfectly, but on top of that, the report he emails us every week to show what has been done is more thorough than I have ever received from any service company or trade. The step-by-step walk through of what they did accompanied by photos of every action they took blows me away. They take more photos of the hot tub during each visit than my cleaning company takes of a full 6-bedroom house after their cleaning. The confidence and reassurance this gives me that my client's hot tub and equipment are in good hands is invaluable to my business.
