He did mention there would be no cost to me for the panels. Curious about the actual price of the panels, I scheduled a meeting with one of their installers. The next day, their installer arrived. I told him how their salesmen told me I could get solar at no cost. It turns out the installer refused to give a price as well. Based on my own personal knowledge, I know the pice of the panels. It would take about 60 years for the price of the solar panels to equal the price of my electricity bill. The installer told me I was illogical and huffed off. What a bunch of bums.

Now I'm stuck paying for solar panels that don't work as well as my regular electric bill. I have to find another company willing to repair a job that they did not do, which is proving extremely challenging. I'll also have to pay for the labor out of pocket, when ethically Empire Solar should really be fitting the entire bill. I think the company may have gone out of business, but if not make sure you stay very far away from them if you're considering solar.

Empire Solar Group installed our rooftop solar in March 2020…read more In mid-May 2021, Solar Edge, a company that monitors our solar system, informed us that the inverter was not producing any energy and that the installer need to come out and physically inspect it. I immediately called the number listed on their website (800-467-4562), but the recording said to send an email for a "quick response". Upon sending the email, a generic auto-reply said that someone will contact me soon - no one ever did. I sent numerous follow-up emails which were ignored, their phone number is a joke because no one ever answered. It was not until I sent a complaint with the BBB that I received an email from them informing me that they will replace the inverter. However; that was June 23, 2021. It is now July 21, 2021, and I haven't heard a word from them. I sent follow up emails which again are being ignored. The solar panels that this company installed on our roof is USELESS to us. We are paying on both the solar panels and purchasing our energy need with PG&E. We are bleeding out money and crying out in frustration! Once the inverter issue is resolved, I will be sending to Empire Solar Group my PG&E bill demanding that they reimburse me for my energy use during the period of their equipment failure. We went solar because we sincerely wanted to do our part in doing good for the environment. Empire Solar Group has breached the warranty policy by not servicing their product. This company has proven to me that they are only focused on getting new customers. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT EXISTING CUSTOMERS. ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY, YOU ARE NO LONGER IMPORTANT TO THEM. We spent thousands of dollar on their useless solar panels and they won't even communicate with us. Save yourself the trouble and heartache - Stay away from Empire Solar Group. Also, stay away from KOTA Energy, they are a door-to-door sales company, a middle man for Empire Solar Group. Because of this company's lack of interest in helping us with their defective product, I am researching on hiring a consumer attorney to help us get this issue resolved.
