Sam is a great guy, extremely personable and fun, listens to you. He showed up on time to install a drip system, worked quickly, made a couple of changes that I requested. While Sam seems to be a great lawn sprinkler guy, he doesn't seem as professionally knowledgeable about drip irrigation. E.g., centering a drip at a small tree base instead of around the drip line. An oleander is drooping and turning yellow for the same reason. A pop up sprayer doesn't reach all the plants intended. I'm sure Sam would come back and correct the situations if I asked him to. But I'm going to fix them myself. read more

My experience was very odd- I found Sam Adamson through good reviews on Google and Yelp. We talked on Monday, January 31st, 2022 by text contacting a number 435-215-6551, and schedule a sprinkler problem for Wednesday at 12 pm. Sam then has this scheduling type system that sends out an automated text verifying the appointment from number 435-334-2218. The first text says the appointment was made for Tuesday, Feb. 1 @12pm. Then a second text scheduled my appointment for Wednesday, Feb. 2 @12pm. I waited to see what was going on. I got nothing. I sent the number/text response of "Which is it?". Sam replied "Wed. See you then." 435-215-6551. Today is Wednesday at 11:12 am. 48 minutes before my appointment, Sam texts me saying "I'm going to be closer to 1 pm." I replied "OK". So that's the second rescheduling. At 1:19 pm (19minutes past his second reschedule), Sam is a no-show. No call, no text, no nothing. So I text him firing him before hiring him. I text him thanking him for basically wasting my day and time and text him letting him not bother to show up, I will be basically contacting somebody else. I get a text from him at 1:26 pm apologizing. I was fine with that. Then I get another text saying that my job with Sam's sprinklers has been canceled. I replied that I did not cancel my appointment, and he got himself fired before he was hired. Then I get a smart reply answer from Sam. It says " I'm glad I got to know you before I completed any work. Take care!" I began to laugh at the text and thought, Wait? Weird! Get to know me? Before he completed the work? Sam never showed up period to start the work and now he wants to blame me for his tardiness, rescheduling, and cancellation for not showing up to his own job site? All I can say is I am glad I got to know him and his unprofessionalism before I gave him my money. If his business ethics, rescheduling, and tardiness are like this, I can only imagine the work he could have completed to get paid. probably would have milked the clock and charged me more. Had a minor leak coming from a valve box. Dug it out and found a major crack in a large 4 way manifold. Water was leaking into the flower bed and headed into the sub basement! I could not find any shut off to this valve, so I shut the water off to the whole house. Stopped the leak, but no water! This was far beyond my normal DIY fix a broken sprinkler pipe scenario. It was 4:30 on a Thursday evening so I took a chance, googled sprinkler system repair and found and called Sam. He answered on the fourth ring, I explained I had the water off, he told me he was in Hurricane and would be at my residence in 20 minutes. Twenty minutes later he arrived explained what all the valves I had tried turning off were, explained the broken manifold was not something carried by Lowe's or Home Depot and that Star Nursery would have it. He stated he had various manifolds on his truck but not this one. With that he jumped into his truck took off for Star Nursery, returning with the needed part. He quickly removed the broken one installed the new one checked the fittings and turned on the water to check for leaks. It was already dark outside and yet he worked with such a cheerful disposition explaining what he was doing. After he was done he charged me a 1/3 of what I thought it would cost! I am so impressed with his work ethic, his attention to detail and his personality I am hiring him in the spring to check, repair and replace my irrigation system on my 2 acres. Having rental properties and dealing with many contractors, it's always a concern when hiring them. Sometimes they charge excessive amounts or they have an attitude either treating you as an incompetent buffoon or as if you are asking your brother in law to help you move on a Superbowl weekend! Sam is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, affordable and takes great pride in his work!!! He also knows landscaping so you can rely on his vast knowledge on what will work best for all your needs, here in Southern Utah!! read more

The nicest guy you could ever meet. I called Sam to fix what I thought was a broken sprinkler line. He dug up the section of grass that was sinking & identified the problem which was not sprinkler related. I've got a 18 year old home in St. George and my Oak Trees appeared to by dying, as well as other shrubs and bushes on the property. I watered a ton and they still looked dry and lifeless. I had some people tell me that over-watering was the culprit, so I cut the watering schedule by half, no improvement, I didn't know if the trees were diseased or what the problem was. I called Sam to troubleshoot the irrigation system, and boy am I glad I did! The drip system was just about shot, leaking here, plugged there, and the timer set all wrong. Over the course of three visits Sam completely dialed in my sprinkler system, digging up the embedded drip system to repair, replacing valves and sprinkler heads, and fixing the leaky city installed blow-back valve. He worked like an Egyptian slave, tirelessly fixing each issue, even locating a sump pump I didn't know existed and explained how it worked. The trees and shrubs look better already! He's got a great attitude, a great work ethic, and a great skill-set. Super honest and reliable, affordable too. In fact, in my opinion Sam doesn't charge enough for the skills and know-how he brings to the job. Highly recommended!
