One of them gave his condolences since he had heard my brother-in-law had suddenly passed away 2 months ago. He took a look at my water heater, said they could still use some of the old metal lines and straps, saved me money. Installation was fast and they left the garage cleaner than when they arrived. We were told that someone would be to our place between 1 and 3, which fit our schedule. 3 rolled around and we hadn't seen nor heard from the plumber they sent out. We called and they said they could get someone out quickly. Another hour goes by and we called them again to see where they were. We were told 10 minutes away. 5 rolls around and Jason shows up. His excuse was that they were waiting for our property management to call them back but their office called my wife and I individually to make the appointment. The fact we were on the schedule, which they confirmed every time we called, and we didn't hear from their technician is very disappointing. Originally I gave Crystal Clear Plumbing a bad review because the office made multiple mistakes and fumbled our service request. The office really needs to get it together. If they continue making mistakes like that it will surely hurt their business. Hopefully it was just a one-off issue. They later realized their mistake, apologized, and gave us a full discount on the plumbing service, so I guess that makes up for it. It was still a very frustrating experience working with the office. I'm still not happy about the manager's initial response. Plumbing Work in St. George, UT 6-13-24 : Randy Davis (A-Aire and Appliance Inc) referred me to Crystal Clear Plumbing. Crystal Clear Plumbing came to my residence to replace an anode in a Rheem 50 gal gas water heater. The plumber quoted about $225 for the job, with my customer-supplied anode. The water heater is elevated and installed in a tight space. The plumber used a breaker bar and a 1-1/16" hex socket to try to remove the anode, instead of an impact wrench which is used in some YouTube videos. The anode would not break free, so he used a short cheater pipe extension to increase the leverage. Due to the tight space, he couldn't pull straight on the cheater pipe / breaker bar. His pulling angle caused the socket to slip off the anode head at least 3 times, which resulted in rounding the anode's hex head. The rounded head made it impossible to remove the anode with a socket. About 45 minutes into the job, the plumber called his boss, who said that damage to the anode head was my risk of having work done. The boss advised installing a Rheem water heater nipple anode in the hot water outlet instead, at a cost of about $350. I declined that option, and the plumber wrote an invoice for a reduced service fee of $85, stating "Was not able to remove anode rod". I was essentially charged $85 for a contractor to not perform the prescribed work and for him to damage my equipment so no one else could do it. read more

When dealing with this company for any kind of warranty issues make sure it is clear what is covered in the repair. They will not have your best interest in mind. They will do what will make them the highest profit. When the technician came out to do the work he immediately stated that only the parts were covered and charged me 360.00 in labor to do 30 mins worth of work. After I did more research on the warranty I found that the labor was covered. I contacted Crystal Clear and was told I would have to reach out to the manufacture of the water heater to be reimbursed for the labor. I did and was only paid 106.00 dollars. So I'm sure that is why they said the labor wasn't covered. Why get paid 106.00 when I can get 360.00 from an unsuspecting consumer. I've had Crystal Clear work on plumbing issues at two homes in Saint George. Jason is one of the owners and he came to my home for the most recent repair. The office staff is friendly and helpful when I call. This time Jason was running early and someone at the office called to see if he could arrive at my home one hour early, at 11:00 instead of noon. He arrived right at 11:00. He listened as I showed him the problems with a squealing shower. worn out faucet parts and slow drains. He quickly proposed solutions to me and got my approval. Then he completed the work fast, including pulling out what he called "small animals" from some drains. I thought he was exaggerating but when I saw the nasty chunks of hair and soap scum they really did look like dead rats. After completing the work Jason asked me to inspect it and make sure it was satisfactory. Before leaving he asked again if everything was to my satisfaction. He was here for about an hour and I paid $85 for the house call and $18 for 3 faucet pieces that had to be replaced. He explained the charges clearly and gave me an invoice listing them. He repaired the shower head so it didn't need to be replaced. I've hired cheaper plumbers before, but never had anyone more polite and thorough. read more

Crystal Clear Plumbing installed 2 toilets for me. We recently had to pull our toilet out. It's been leaking at the base since shortly after they installed it. We procrastinated contacting them to fix their work. Once we pulled the toilet up, there were two wax rings stacked. The wax ring didn't appear to even be touching the toilet. My family members also had 2 toilets installed by Crystal Clear. They had to have another company come and reinstall them after about a year because they were leaking and coming loose at the base. We haven't pulled up our second toilet yet, but I imagine it's going to have the same issue because it also leaks at the base. I would not recommend this company. I haven't contacted them regarding this issue because it's been almost three years, but it's been leaking at the base for most of that time. read more

This company came in to check a possible leak in my sink plumbing. He hosed in some smoke through a vent in my roof that connected to the sink pipes ( I had to furnish the ladder). No leak ! This process took about an hour. I got a bill for $180.00. After doing some research, I found some plumber's at $ 50.00 an hour. The owner told me that the reason he was so expensive is that he had to use "special equipment" and that he did a good job. It was my fault for not checking out his rates prior to the job.
