Good shaved ice. Nice staff. A like expensive but still worth trying. Will definitely return

Great customer service. I wanted yo take a smoothie home for breakfast. They just didn't try to sell me anything. She gave her honest opinion read more

We love tropical sno! Always fast and friendly service. So many options to choose from and its the perfect amount of sweet!

Love a good summer snow cone. Love all the different flavor combos. It's a hit with the family

There's nothing better than a cold shaved ice on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, hot summer days seem to be few and far between this summer. But Tropical Sno hasn't left for warmer climates. They still sit there in their iddy biddy transportable shack waiting for the line of kids to come devour their deliciousness. I heard that the lady who owns this place used to work in law but retired to run Tropical Sno because it was much more lucrative. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, I can see why, with the lines they have during hot weather. With more than 50 flavors, they have pretty much anything you could possibly want or imagine, and they let you mix. So there's that. I'm not gonna lie, I've added vodka to mine once or twice. It helps that I live directly across the street so I can turn it into a cocktail whenever I feel like it. My favorite is definitely the Tiger's Blood (strawberry coconut). And unlike the sno cones you get at the carnival, they're actually generous with the syrup here, so whether it's your first bite or your last, they all burst with sweet goodness. read more

Tropical Sno - Shaved Ice Near Me - Countryside, Illinois

I go here all the time and they have the lowest prices of all the tropical snos by my house. The service is awesome and the shaved ice themselves are full of flavor and so good! I highly recommend especially on hot summer days! read more

This is a small shack on Archer Avenue in Willow Springs. You can spot it by the long line that wraps around it! Shaved ice is the bomb-diggity!!! There are like 50 different flavors and a bunch of flavor combinations. I had the Mai-Tai on my last visit - yum!! They service up this tasty-guilt-free-treat in cups of size small, medium, and large. Price is reasonable. Such a refreshing treat on a summer day!! There is plenty of parking in the lot - so, go with a group and chill out in the parking lot with you ice! read more

Man talk about local teen hang out! It was good, fair priced....line was huge.. for awhile myself at 30 years of age.. was the oldest one there (haha!) *Side Note to teens*.. you guys drive like maniacs MANIACS in that parking lot...when your backing out LOOK behind you... I saw almost 4 crashes between that and people backing out of the lot at high speeds ( or coming in at high speeds!) Drive slower, you may live longer. read more

Finally got my Hawaiian Ice fix. At last I am satisfied at least until I take my trip to Maui this November. Lot's of flavors to choose from, the prices are just right nothing over $3.00 not too close but it is a nice drive if you have never ventured into the South West burbs. read more

Good place, small but doesn't matter because this place has VERY good flavored ices. I read other review about how the people are rude but they are available, fast, efficient and didn't say anything rude and gave me my order. Nice area to bring friends with a small siting next to it to eat your snow. Different flavors, a whole variety of flavors, multiple flavors, and you can get a bunch of flavors in one cup. read more

It is very good! I love the blurasberry! The only bad part is the line always takes 15 min to get through and it is only open for 3-4 months out of the year. The good part is that Its nice for any late night snack and it is very cheep and kills time. read more

I don't know how I haven't written a review for t sno yet! This is a summertime staple, starting from the day I coul drive until now! There's usually a line when you go, but that'll give you time to study the big menu and (maybe) make a decision. This place can also get overrun with teenagers, so just be ready. Their prices are tax-included making it easy to work with cash for your shaved ice. I haven't had one bad flavor- beware though, the flavors are sugar-high sweet. I usually only manage this 1-2 times per summer, but always look forward to when I can go back again! Personal favs are tamarind (like a crazy iced tea flavor), tiger's blood, and the sunrise flavor (I think thats what it is- strawberry/orange/pineapple combo). I will be back again, promise!! read more

Does Tsnow really deserve 5 stars? No. They seem to raise their prices every year, they're located in a tiny white shack, and the place runs rampant with teenagers. But this place is a tradition. I look forward to it being open every summer. You're bored? You're hot? You're looking for a tasty low calorie treat? Yup, it's time for Tsnow. They have a plethora of flavors. They are so good. They are so summer. P.S. Cash only read more

Tropical Sno in Willow Springs is the best! I live an hour away and will still drive all the way to this location. The people are always friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic! The Scenery around here is wonderful, no other places makes you feel like home. I will forever recommend this place. It is home! read more

Cranky girl arrived 10 minutes after opening time. Never said Hello, Sorry! Or I'll be right with you. Standing outside on the dirty pavement with the dozens of bees waiting while cranky girl took her time, getting out the ice, putting out the chairs, putting up the umbrella, and who knows what else, the four kids I was with opted for the much cheaper & shorter wait time at McDonalds. We waited patiently for 15 minutes. Never once did she even acknowledge us. So, at $3.00 for a small ice, you just lost $15.00 & a tip. read more

T Sno is the bomb.com! For melt in your mouth deliciousness, stop at Tropical Sno. Watch out for long lines of high school kids from the surrounding, like, 15 high schools, on summer nights. With probably more than 50 flavors to choose from (I never counted them all), you make use of waiting in line. One summer we tried to try them all (didn't happen - ran out of time!). The prices are good (under $3 for any size), but they only take cash, so scrounge up the quarters from your car seats and get your Sno on! P.S. Park near the castle - there's less crazy kids over there! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. Employees are very polite and friendly. Only place where you can give a family of 5 a summer treat for under 20 dollars. We will be coming there again and again. Like the outdoor tropical atmosphere. read more

I've been coming to this spot since I was very young and have always been pleased with the same results. On this particular occasion, I received a cherry sno cone that had no taste whatsoever. I assumed the syrup must've been watered down or something. I politely asked if I could get a different flavor since this one was extremely obviously not up to par. I was replied to with the most disrespectful comments, one of which including "What do you want me to say, it's ice. Of course there's water." Last time I checked, good customer service does not involve degrading the customer. I am a high schooler with a summer job too, so I understand quite well how expendable teenagers are in this competitive job market. Someone holding that position over someone else should not respond to a customer with such unprofessionalism. read more

We are obsessed with this location! The staff is always so friendly, and their flavor selections are amazing! We always go opening day and every weekend until they close at the end of the season. Thanks for the great product and service!! read more

So I have to buy a large when I want two flavors and I have to pay with cash only? It's the 21st century, disgraceful.

They have awesome shaved ice. Very friendly and a great place to go to over summer vacation.

One of my really good friends introduced me to this place. These are no regular snow cones! So many flavors to choose from! Their pineapple flavor is delicious. They are very generous! Great place to visit on a hot summer day. read more

It was very good. You can tell that they can be very busy at times and the line probably can get very long. It says you can only get two flavors on the large size but the listed combinations are already mixed together so you can get a smaller size. They only take cash....so sorry leave your plastic at home! The employees where pleasant and the small seating area was clean of sticky messes. Also the creamsicle and melon berry(strawberry and watermelon) flavors were very good!! read more

Although it's a seasonal shop that's what makes it unique. The prices are perfect and the people are nice. There are tables and chairs next to the booth to sit and enjoy your treat. Favorite flavor: fuzzy navel. read more

I love this little sno cone place! Been going there for years, and I never really waited in line long. The flavors are awesome! When it gets hot, its a good place to stop by and get some shaved ice. The only thing wrong is that they should open up in late April. Its been pretty warm this spring! read more

Tropical Sno is most definitely the best shaved ice place in the area. In addition to this, I cannot understand why one of the reviewers is criticizing their hours. Do you really think that Tropical Sno never thought that they might be able to attract as many customers in May and September? Let me inform you of a well known fact: most school years (excepting colleges) end at the end of May (when T Sno opens--Memorial Day weekend) and begin again at the start of September (when T Sno closes). Tropical Sno loses a tremendous amount of business when school starts. Furthermore, yes, there may be a few scorching hot days before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, but the weather is slightly colder overall, enough that it would drive away a significant amount of business. Their business practices are clearly sound, and judging by the droves of people the line up each and every night from June to August, I'd say that people are very thankful for the time that it is open. Certainly a 5 Star experience. read more
