I'll start this by saying Tamales+ regular menu items are super good but you have to check out…read moretheir rotating specials too: Italian Beef (yeah, I know, what??? But they're wonderful!) and I'm going to be looking for their Buffalo Chicken with Blue cheese asap! I first contacted Tamales+ to cater a family event at Sturdy Shelter Brewing in Batavia, IL. I hadn't tried them before but SSB highly recommended them. I talked to Kathy, the owner, via phone & email & she made it so easy . Menu options were clearly priced and ingredients noted, which was great since we have one with celiac disease, one vegetarian & one avoiding dairy. Those options were covered without having to special order anything. They set it all up with warming trays before the event & made it easy for me to clean up afterward. Payment was also easy. ALL of their tamales, sides, dips, salsa & chili crunch were delicious! We had PLENTY and were able to send some home with people. Since Kathy's husband & daughter did the set up, I didn't meet Kathy until recently when their food truck was at SSB. It was really fun to meet her and try the Italian Beef tamale! Kathy Contreras has created something really special in Tamales+.

After moving to the suburbs a few years ago, I never found a good tamale that lived up to the ones I grew up eating. Tamales + changed all that. Their tamales are just so amazingly delicious. The texture is exactly what it should be and the flavor-I've never tasted anything so amazing. The Lizzo dip is also absolutely astounding and the service is friendly, quick, and amazing. Out of all the tamales I've ever had- which is a LOT-none of them have ever or will ever compare to Tamales+. Every last detail is just perfectly made. These tamales will change your life, I swear. All I can think about it how excited I am to eat from tamales+ again.

This place was great! I drive this way to work every day and had no idea they were there LoL…read more Stopped in and ordered a ton of tacos and their quesadilla. I tried the Lengua, Cabeza and the Pastor. The Lengua and the Cabeza tacos were incredible, right in line with the best i've had. The Meat Portion was great too! The Pastor was good too, however, i'm very picky on my pastor tacos and it was better than most taco spots in the area, but not the best i've had. I will be back for the Lengua and the Cabeza for sure and to try the other meats they offer! The quesadilla i had was awesome too, my only surprise was that it was not made on those large quesadilla tortillas, it was a regular sized flour tortilla folded in half. I was expecting it to be larger, but nonetheless, it was cooked perfectly and tasted so good! The cheese had an amazing crunch to it and of course i added Lengua meat to it and it took it to the next level! Last but not least, the Salsas were great! The Salsa Verde was delicious, my wife who doesn't even eat hot stuff much couldn't get enough of it. The Red salsa was great too, just the right amount of spice and flavor! I will be back!

I want to try some more of their flavors later but I went with the Medium sized bag of The Chicago Mix. It was pretty good and my kids loved it! I didn't have time to ask them but I am curious if they make their popcorn fresh and would like to try it as soon as it's made I bet that would be amazing! I was happy with the service and hope to try their other flavors next time I stop in!

The menu is on the food truck which offers appetizers, main courses as well as desserts. My fiance and I shared the Hawaiian plate which gave us the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. The Hawaiian plate came with a mac salad, side of white rice, BBQ short ribs, shredded pork and chicken with pineapple.
