Alittle pricey, overall good flavors, I did not like the dr pepper flavor (tasted like cough syrup).

My kids won a gift card as part of a raffle basket in March. We attempted to use the gift card today and we were told that it was from the previous ownership and they won't take it. The gift card is for the same company name at the same address and has no expiration date on it. How would a consumer possibly know the business is under new ownership? A great experience read more

I've been here a number of times and it's always been very good. However, the last time we went the cheese popcorn in the Chicago mix was not very good, no where near as covered in cheese as in the past. Hopefully, this was an anomaly and not a direction to lower the quality as a cost savings measure. read more

Awesome popcorn and candy store! They have over 60 different flavors of popcorn! I'm talkin' cream soda, cheesecake, loaded baked potato, mac and cheese, some covered with chocolate, some covered with caramel, some with nuts, some with pretzels....whatever you're in the mood for, they got it. The staff were so kind and helpful. The man at the counter, who I am assuming was the manager, let us try any kind of popcorn we wanted before purchasing. He was adamant about letting us try as many as we could stand so we could make the right decision. This is SERIOUS, okay?! I fell in love with most of them (except dill pickle, that was kind of odd) and left with multiple bags. In addition to popcorn, they also sells a ton of candy. A lot of chocolate and gummies. So I left with a few bags of chocolate too! ;) The bag sizes range from mini to extra large and depending on which size you get obviously determines the price. I think the prices range from like $3 to $40. You can also get the popcorn in neat, decorative tins in case you are buying the goodies as a gift for someone. This place is the best! it has the nostalgia of "old time" places. It is so much better than the "big box" popcorn shops because of the unique flare and the extended flavors! I wish I knew about the dill pickle popcorn when I was pregnant! But who doesn't love bacon with anything--throw some delish popcorn in there and call it dinner! The new(ish) owners are so kind and helpful. They truly make you feel like family and welcome your questions and suggestions. The popcorn was not that special for that being what they want to be known for. I usually go to Kernels who has the most amazing but thought since they are right here I would give it a try. Yesterday I had crabby pants guy that I was placing my order with.I think he was getting annoyed with me because I was asking to many questions! Sorry didn't take the popcorn 101 class. I've been seeing this place for a while now and haven't been able to try it yet! The store hours just don't cooperate with my work schedule. I wish they would close at an hour later but I get it, it is a family owned business and I don't blame them for wanting to get home to their families! I had the day off and was able to stop by this cool little popcorn shop and was pretty impressed once I walked in, they have Tons of tins on display and TONs of popcorn flavors(I think they have 60?) I want to try some more of their flavors later but I went with the Medium sized bag of The Chicago Mix. It was pretty good and my kids loved it! I didn't have time to ask them but I am curious if they make their popcorn fresh and would like to try it as soon as it's made I bet that would be amazing! I would not order from again. I ordered cheese and caramel with pecans. The cheese did not have much of a cheese flavor. I expected the caramel to have more of a buttery caramel flavor. It had kind of a maple flavor. The store didn't respond to my emails. read more

We hired them to create 750 bags of popcorn for giveaways, and the popcorn was not only delicious, but their service was excellent and professional. They delivered the shipments to us at the Mart in Chicago, as well as our company party location (which helped us tremendously). Their products are extremely yummy - BEST POPCORN ever! My 5 year old son's favorite thing is popcorn and I took him here as a special treat. He tried at least 10 popcorn flavors and the staff kept offering up more for him to try, he favored the savory ones over the candy ones (crazy kid). I bought a bag of Denver for the office (like Chicago but the cheddar is white) and he settled on his favorite of parmesan garlic for a snack to go. This store is such a gem! I love helping small local businesses, and they always do such an amazing job! Plus, their popcorn is top notch! You can sample any of their many flavors in store, you can mix two flavors of popcorn in one bag (as long as it's in the same price level), and their bag sizes are well worth the cost! Just went into popcorn store for the first time no customers in there & we were not greeted. The girls working there had no sense of customer service . Seemed very annoyed because we asked for a sample so we were pressured to make a decision just so we could leave. Very awkward. You guys need hire energetic people. I love this place! Every time I go I always get two or more bags of popcorn. The only thing I wish was different was the store hours. Even if they were open until 8pm or 9pm that would be better. Sometimes I get so busy in my day and forget that they close at 7pm, especially on Saturday's since they are not open on Sunday's. read more

I brought my little girl here as a treat, quite a bit when they opened and we enjoyed a few of their popcorn flavors. It's owned by a husband and wife and the husband was always really nice. I was once in with my little girl and my newborn, by myself. My little girl said she needed to go to the bathroom while I was ordering. I asked the owner (the wife) if my daughter could use their bathroom. I was holding a newborn in my arms and she refused to let my daughter use the bathroom. Instead she told me I could walk down to Ross and use their bathrooms. Being a mother herself, I was really shocked that she would see me there, holding a newborn and refuse to let my little girl use their bathroom. Especially when we used to come in so often. After that, we stopped going there. My family and I went back yesterday for the first time in a few years. Ordered the hot and spicy popcorn (which was my favorite) and it was completely stale. Unbelievably chewy. That popcorn had to be sitting for days upon days to be that stale. Won't come back again. read more

I went to the store before with my mom. They ladies working there were nice, but the small, awkward store left us feeling pressured to make a decision. The two staff had been whispering and weren't very pleasant when we asked questions or asked for samples, even though the menu clearly states they offer free samples. I went back with my friends and they said we weren't allowed to sample because we weren't with our parents, which is somewhat unreasonable but understandable. They allowed us one sample each. We felt very awkward as they too whispered and stared to see if we would make a decision. After we finally made the decision to leave, the staff seemed annoyed that we didn't buy anything mostly because the prices were a bit too much for such a small amount of popcorn. Don't recommend going unless you are into impolite staff who are a bit pressuring. Besides that, their popcorn is a bit stale, but the variety of flavors is impressive. read more

We LOVE this cute little popcorn shop - great (abundance - 60+) flavors of popcorn (favorties include white cheddar, bacon cheddar, oreo, almond toffee, southwestern jalapeno), a nice selection of "penny" candies (gummies you can't find anywhere else in cool shapes like sharks, army men, fighter jets and in interesting flavors like mango & banana-strawberry), and a small array of soda pops (also unusual / rare - such as a Butter Beer from Harry Potter). Always a great customer service experience - you can try as many flavors as you like. Quick & prompt service with a wonderful product. Hopefully this "gem" stays a small secret in the community because I do love the short lines and ease in getting our flavors, but I don't think it will stay that way. Much better than Garret's or Nuts on Clark for those Chicagoans who are enamored with those shops - head on over to the Popcorn Store and I guarantee it will become your new favorite! read more
