Caramel Pecan Pudding
Melanie B.

I've passed this place for nearly a yr and have always wanted to stop by out of sheer curiosity. I mean, how do you create a successful business that centered primarily around pudding? Magnolia Bakery is famous for their banana pudding, but it's still marketed as a full bakery. So here I am. The caramel pecan banana pudding was pretty good. It had generous amounts of both pecans and shortbread cookies. I definitely could have used more caramel though. My daughter got a small container of macarons. She thought they were on par with the ones she has gotten at Costco. Meaning: she liked them. A small sized pudding + a little container of macarons came to $20. I could have made a 9x13 pan of that pudding for under $10, so I wouldn't go out of my way for this, but if you find yourself in need of some sugar, they have some interesting options.

Sooo many desserts, to choose from. :-)

Friendly employees and a very clean shop. Banana Pudding Twist is in Fox Valley mall. They have really great desserts. I don't eat banana, so I didn't eat any pudding. But they have many selections for you and your family. My husband ordered a slice of pound cake and it was delicious. A lot of people were ordering strawberry and also pecan caramel banana pudding. If we're in the area, we may visit again.

Well, I finally got the courage to try banana pudding. It's one of those desserts that didn't sound appealing to me, but I tried some at a party a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. I was aware of Banana Pudding Twist and even walked in a couple times, but today I finally purchased some puddin'. I ordered a small coconut banana pudding. What can I say? It was delicious! I'm a cream fanatic and this hit the spot. There wasn't much banana flavor and no coconut flavor, but it was smooth and creamy. They do have some other menu items like beverages and cake pops, but the banana pudding is where it's at. This location in the mall used to be a Panera Bread, so there's a lot of seating, but it's all cordoned off. Not sure why, but whatever. My only real gripe, hence the -1 star, is the price. It came to $10.67 w/ tax & tip for a small pudding. I get it, every business deserves to make a profit (especially small businesses), but that seems like a steep price for pudding.

So this has now become a weekend staple ! My favorite is the Lemon Banana Pudding. To me, the pudding taste less like banana pudding and more like a delicious lemon dessert which is still a win! I have also tried strawberry and banana pudding which again just taste like really good whipped dessert, I am more of a heavy thick banana pudding gal whereas this is more of the very light, whipped kind (so if you like airy pudding this is a perfect place for you). Plus, the service here is amazing, they host different events in the private space in the back. They have grown a ton since coming the first time, they have extended their menu with more sweet treats and soups. If you are in this area you must stop by and grab an after dinner dessert from this place!

Delicious pudding but a bit spendy. Bought a sample pack and was $14. Didn't know there were that many options for bananna pudding.

We decided to give it a shot since it was a new dessert spot in the mall. We tried the banana pudding two separate times. Customer service is very friendly. First time we tried the plain banana pudding we thought it was very good. The second time around my daughter was in the mall and she picked up the strawberry banana pudding. They must have given her the wrong size because it was smaller but she paid $11.90 which is the price of a medium 12oz. It seemed like an honest mistake but given that the prices are a bit higher than expected this was a hard pill to swallow.

I was recently on vacation in a few southern states and since I got back, I've been craving banana pudding. This is the best banana pudding in Illinois and it tastes just like the south! It's the real deal. A must have if your in the neighborhood.

Each and every location features plentiful parking, a social media worthy interior, comfortable elegant seating, and quality desserts that consistently delight everyone who has the opportunity to try them. On my visit here, I tried a different set of items from my Schaumburg visit to test the consistency of quality across different flavor profiles and dessert types, and it delivered perfectly. The mango gelato here is incredible -- with probably the strongest mango flavor I've ever had in a gelato. The Lotus was an elevated version of one of my favorite biscuits. The gelato is incredible, creamy and flavorful -- and something I'd happily serve with most any dessert. The waffle was flavorful as usual which paired perfectly with the chocolate mix. I also wanted to try My Passion to get a mix of different fruits -- as I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fruit was at the other location. This was equally as great, with fruit presented at the perfect ripeness. Extra kudos to the kiwi which wasn't sour at all, and in fact was one of the first items to be finished completely. The pineapple was also super juicy, sweet, and flavorful. I wish we'd gotten more eclairs, as the filling was super delicious. Maybe the weakest item in this dish was the brownie, which was only good -- while everything else we'd tried was great to amazing. Overall, worth a special trip for any dessert lover. This business consistently delivers top notch dishes at very reasonable prices.

Has okay prices even though it's premium and small batch. They also have a few sorbets but it's random. A bad thing is the ever changing hours. It's hard to know when they're open. They're open longer in summers. As expected. It's about $5 to get a scoop. Has an okay amount of flavors to choose. There's not a whole lot but it's still an okay amount for a smaller locally owned place. A few non dairy sorbets are among the rotating flavors. Last time they had the Pink Grapefruit Sorbet. Had the sourness and sweetness of the fruit prepared with sugar on it. There's also other flavors such as espresso and tangerine. For sure it's a great idea to call ahead before going. It's got a bunch of flavors and they change these random times. They're usually closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Checked out this pretty new Asian fusion restaurant that opened up in Aurora. It has kind of a…read moreclassy feel but it's casual. Leilani has a pretty good variety of Chinese and Japanese inspired appetizers and entrees. Has some good drinks that go well with it basically. The food is high quality at pretty good prices. A lot of things to get here. It's not a very big menu but that makes it easier to choose obviously. This is Asian fusion so it's not like it's authentic but this is good for what it is though. A few things can get pricy but prices aren't that bad. The service is also great which helps. It's about $12 for the cheapest cocktails. They often have some rotating seasonal specials. It's about $15 for an entree. There's only a few that are vegetarian so that made it easy to pick something. I got the Truffle Shuffle, which is a maki roll. This has avocado, caramelized shallots, pickled daikon, and roasted shiitake mushrooms, and is topped with a tempura crunch with kimchi and wasabi. Full of flavor. This is a good choice if wanting light meals. For sure it's not authentic but it's not trying to be. It's a good mixture for American palates. There's a few things okay for vegans and vegetarians.

I finally came back with a smaller group on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty empty. Our server, Tariq, was the BEST! He did a great job introducing us to Leilani, offering menu suggestions, refilling drinks, etc. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I tried the chicken katsu sando. The Japanese milk bread was so fluffy and fresh, the chicken added a nice crunch, and the toppings were a nice punch of flavor. On the menu, it said it came with yam chips or edamame so I asked for edamame. I think there was some confusion though cause my sandwich came with chips and I was charged for a side of edamame. The edamame had a lot of flavor. I never thought I would write this in a review but I almost wish it was more bland. Edamame aside, this place is great! Service was some of the best experiences I've had, I loved the decor, and most importantly, the food was delicious!
