The Tropical smoothie on Telegraph in Taylor needs to be reported to corporate. The last 3 times I have been there they tell me they are out of food. I was just in the drive through about 40 minutes ago and I was told they are out of chicken when I ordered a chicken wrap. I am calling their corporate office to report them because this is 3 times in a row this type of thing has happened. Last time they said they were only selling smoothies because they had no food. Smoothies are really good. Not a fan of their food. The food is pretty bland and Luke warm the three times my family has ordered there.

We ordered the peanut butter cup smoothie, Watermelon mojito and the the chai banana with peanut butter. My husband loves both of the PB and chai smoothies here. They are always consistent and good. The smoothies were good as always and so refreshing on this warm sunny day too. The watermelon has a slight tartness from the lime juice and the watermelon is sweet and cooling on such a warm spring day. Service is friendly and quick here. They asked people to wait outside if there were more than 5 people inside. They take the social distancing seriously. All chairs have been removed from inside to deter folks from getting too cozy inside. The interior air ducts, fans and lights need a bit of dusting, they are cloaked in heavy dust. To be fair, I didn't go into the store and didn't try any products. It's just that they annoyed me via advertising practices and I'm sharing that. My windshield wipers are somewhat tucked in so I didn't notice until I started driving and needed the wipers. I will say, what bright and vibrant colors. It's was memorizing as the flyer went up and left. Down and right. It became a new game to try and decipher a wet paper being fling around as if being held by a toddler that had just learned how to aggressively waive. In hindsight... I should have been paying attention to traffic and the road. The card around me are apparently not as easily amused as I was. Although, I admire their motivating use of their horns to encourage me to figure out the puzzle. I guess they just don't like smoothies. 1 star because that is incredibly annoying and potentially dangerous advertising practice. It also litters as a secondary action to people being annoyed and getting rid of the flyers without recycling. But it did kinda make me want a smoothie and I should say I earned it after my motor vehicle nightmare. I think there's a good smoothie place in eureka and dix. Southgate nutrition, maybe? I find myself coming to this location whenever I'm in the area. The staff is nice( nothing over the top), the store is clean, and every smoothie I've ordered has been just as great as the next! My only complaint is how noisy it can be in there with the music bumping & people trying to talk over the music. Monday - Friday, 5-7 is Happy Hour so smoothies are under $4. A pleasant surprise! This has to be the worst Tropical Smoothie I have ever been to for multiple reasons. The location always smells bad, I've received the wrong smoothie on more than one occasion, I've had to wait for mobile orders that were placed 15+ minutes prior to arriving, etc. etc. but the BIGGEST issue with this location is the make their wraps like its a burrito from Ch*potle.... It is absolutely disgusting. It doesn't matter which one you order because they make them all the same... They've even given me one that was half thai chicken half caribbean....?? They pack them with as much food possible without the thing breaking in half. A wrap advertised for 500 calories is EASILY 1000+ at this location. The wraps are never cut in half like they're supposed to be and when you do it yourself (or if you don't) they always fall apart. Do NOT order a wrap from this place unless you want a 6 pound burrito. read more

This is my favorite tropical smoothie by far! They have the nicest staff and drinks are more consistently well made here than any of the other TSC's in the area (and honestly, of all the ones I've been to.) I always get the Get Up & Goji which is discontinued but they still give me what they have left til they run out, and the owner suggested other smoothies for me to try when the gojis are a goner. I appreciate how willing everyone is to figure out how to make it and not get annoyed at me for being the only person who orders it. Also worth mentioning, I only had 1 poor experience here with our drinks being too icy and they remade them quick and without making us feel bad for asking. Love this location. :) read more

I've visited several Tropical Smoothie Cafe's in the downriver area, and this one is by far the best! Always smiling and friendly service (they've g them to know me and my usual order) - they even showed me how to use the app when I was struggling lol. The one (and only) time they accidentally messed up an order, they were apologetic and fixed it right away. They're also much faster than the other TSC's in the area, which is important for a busy mom like me. I like ordering ahead on the app and then I can just run in and pick it up. My husband and I called in to make a curbside order, the girl there said that we had to make it online so that we wouldn't have to come in and pay. It wasn't a problem so I did, I then arrived and called them again and another girl answers the phone and says no you have to come in and get it. I explain to her that I made an online order for curbside so that I wouldn't have to come in, and she totally mowed over it and could care less. The lack of customer service wasn't appreciated, especially in times like this, with COVID still being very present and people not feeling comfortable going inside. I've only had tropical smoothie one time but man oh man that one time was really good. My smoothie was great I had some green smoothie that was really good. I had a vegetarian bowl I think, I can't remember exactly but it was pretty good. They're kind of pricey but I guess maybe it's worth it. The staff is pretty decent I mean there was maybe a new girl the first time I went and of course she made a couple mistakes, but she said she had been there all day and so I just felt bad for her, and the other girls were kind of giving her a little grief behind her back and I thought it was kind of unfair just because they were working the cash register and taking orders and she was actually making the food. Meant to write about my experience when it happened, but forgot until now. Sometime last week I came into the Taylor location during the morning. There was a customer threatening employees, yelling, and overall making a huge scene. I applaud the young lady with red hair that managed to stay calm and polite throughout the whole experience. My husband and love this store. We've been here four times and our meals have been great each time. We haven't tried more than two smoothies-the Watermelon Mojito smoothie and the Pumpkin Pie smoothie. Having read reviews of other downriver TSC stores, we decided we'd patronize the best one even though we live 20 minutes away. I went there for my very first time ever today and may I just say, it was a definite delight. I do not regret it one bit. However I would like to say, I am lactose intolerant and didn't think to adk if they used lactose free ingredients, which I now know they do offer but only upon request, so needless to say I wish I would've known that a while ago but I did really enjoy the smoothie.
