I came here with Courtney and got my first shake and tea bomb on the house. The shakes are made with Herbal Life products and packed with 24 grams of protein, that's a lotta protein packed in a drink. The variety of drinks is pretty large. We usually get these while working a shift at the hospital and I gotta say, if I have it for lunch with a salad and the tea, I'm pretty full til I get home around 7:30. For me, they all have that protein powder taste that doesn't go away, but the blueberry muffin did work on covering that up with yummy goodness. I haven't tried a lift off (energy shot I believe), but Courtney says she gets a boost without the energy drop afterwards. $8 for shake and tea isn't a bad price, add in are $1. read more

I was skeptical about coming here because i usually go to the shake shop in Downtown Wyandotte, nourish the dotte. So walking in i didnt know what to expect. I was automatically greeted and explained the process of the combos, which was very helpful because i would have been lost without the help. I love that they have this combo of a tea and a shake, and everything that automatically comes in both of the beverages. I ordered a tropical sunrise and normally the teas from herbal life are bearable but this left me wanting more of it, it was delicious. Theres a variety of shakes so its always so hard to just choose one, and i had no idea which one i wanted. With the help of the staff she led me to try something new, the pb and jelly, although im not a fan of jelly this shake was delicious. I definitely recommend this store for all herbal life or pre workout shakes before hitting the gym that is conveniently next door. The staff is excellent and friendly. I was visiting my family over the 2017 holidays and stopped in to check this place out after my workout. I was not expecting to be impressed, but I was! I have lived in Manhattan for many years (now San Francisco) and am accustomed to high quality food but also high prices. The smoothies here are super scrumptious and very filling yet are incredibly reasonably priced. The owner and her son are well-educated (and certified) and on the subject of Diabetes as well as weight management and I although I do not have a problem with my weight I do have diabetes. I was hesitant at first to order something thinking it would increase my blood sugar, as many smoothies do. But the owner assured me it would not have that effect and so I gave in and ordered one and she was right - it did not cause a spike in my blood sugar. So in summary: delicious, filling, inexpensive and suitable for diabetics. I will definitely make a point to visit again the next time I am in town. read more
