Went through the drive through and ordered a hummus veggie wrap, minus cheese, minus ranch. Paid, got my receipt and it said Baja Chicken Wrap. I knock on the window immediately and say this isn't what I ordered, I ordered the hummus veggie wrap, he says oh it's okay they're the same price and I say that doesn't matter I just don't want chicken (I want what I ordered). He hands me a bag and I ask "oh, was it just I rung up wrong?" He says yes. I pull up, check and it's the Baja Chicken Wrap. I go inside and say it's wrong, I just want a hummus veggie wrap with no cheese and no ranch. He tells the crew I want a hummus veggie wrap with no cheese and no veggies. He turns and asks if that's right, I say no.. no cheese no ranch. I wait. Several minutes go buy and the girl asks the drive through guy what I ordered again. I'll start off by saying I have only been to this establishment in Taylor maybe 5 times in the past year, every time I get the Cesar green wrap, every time the parmesan crisps taste like wax. today I asked for fresh ones and the guy who took my order said "Mam you always say this when you order" WAIT WHAT? Dude last time I ordered this from this location you didn't even have parmesan crisp's.. also they had 3 kinds of chips and that was it. he was very short but somewhat polite at the same time. seemed very unhappy that he works there. I absolutely love tropical smoothie in fact I've been wanting to open one for the last 5 years. I was excited to go to this location because to my understanding this is supposed to be one of the number one locations in the country because they were the first to have a drive-thru. I've never received service this poor. Supposedly the manager / owner's name is Aaron. He was so incredibly abrasive that I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out with the camera and tell me I was being punked. It was like a bad sketch from In living color or one of the real housewife shows. I wish I had recorded it because it was actually unbelievable. So very unprofessional and indignant. He thought I was asking him to bring my food to my car because I had to wait for my phone to recharge so I can scan my order. He probably told me to get in line again which I was just waiting for my phone to recharge and let me know I ain't coming out there to bring you nothing this ain't Sonic. It was absolutely ridiculous and not representative of what tropical smoothie has historically been. Hoping this isn't the owner acting like this. Refuse to give a number for corporate. Told employees not to talk to me. I've never seen anything like it. This was almost a reverse Karen I really wish I had my camera rolling. Service is dreadfully slow. Don't bother ordering on line. I went in to pick up my on line order and waited another 20 minutes for a sandwich that they never made. I asked about it 3 time and was told I'd just have to wait. Finally I asked for a refund and was told I'd have to wait 48 hours. We were the last customer of the day even though they were supposed to close at 9. Our sandwiches were made incorrectly as they did not taste the way they usually do. We asked them to make it over even though they said they were made correctly. The second time everything turned out right. Any attitudes? A little but they handled it well. I live two blocks from this location and will never return. I place an online order yesterday. I placed the order in time for me to pick it up and make a 6:30pm appointment. I walked into the store and stood by the online order pick for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I noticed a smoothie sitting and I looked it had my name on it. I asked about my salad and was told the food marker is allergic to shrimp and my salad was not made. I had to go to make my appointment so I got the smoothie and canceled the salad. Today I am having a busy day so I got to the app and order a delivery order. I complete my shrimp wrap, shrimp salad and smoothie order after waiting 40 minutes I get a call from DoorDash saying the store is out of shrimp do I want chicken. Well unfortunately I don't eat chicken so I said no I will just take the smoothie. The DoorDash guy text me he couldn't change the order and I had to go back to the Tropical Smoothie app. I got back to app only to get a message to call the store. I call the store only to be passed around. I asked for the phone number to the General or District Manager only to be told they don't have it TheIr customer service is poor!!!! This is by far the worst location ever. The customer service at this location is horrible. The manager that works mornings clearly hates his job and I do not recommend this location to anyone. I went inside to order a smoothie right before work and was told by the manager that I could have just ordered from the drive up. I was very confused because if i wanted to order from drive up, I would have ordered from drive up. I have never felt so unwelcomed in a place of business in my entire life. Made our smoothies incorrectly- we ordered two Triple Berry Oats and they had zero flavor.. they clearly forgot to add Splenda. We walked inside and politely asked that they add it into our smoothies, and the person (who I'm assuming is the manager) immediately barked back at us "We can't take those back and add anything, it's against sanitation. I can give you a cup with Splenda in it". I'm not sure if he must have thought we just happened to be asking for extra, but they MADE THEM WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE so we were trying to correct their error instead of asking that they make us new ones. They gave us the cup of Splenda and proceeded to talk to each other about how rude people in Michigan are. I almost lost my cool and told him off, but decided he wasn't worth my energy. Well... the line to the drive through was long with just 1 person ahead of me placing their order. It took about a total of 15 minutes from start to finish. I mean it is a drive-through that makes smoothies so being considerate is kind of something to think about. I got the chia-banana smoothie (which is not listed on the menu because it was supposed to be limited time only. But some franchises chose to continue selling it). You get a choice of strawberry, peach or peanut butter to add into the smoothie. I went with peanut butter. This location is the worst for smoothies. Many locations have their good and bad days of the taste quality, but this location is always bad. They cannot possibly go by the directions on how to make the smoothies because every time it tastes like water. All of their smoothies are like water. I mean every single time. Water no flavor. I've been to multiple TSC locations. This is by FAAAAR the absolute slowest. I never spend less than 15-20 minutes in the drive through so I ordered ahead of time using the phone app. When I showed up they hadn't even started my smoothies. Then I stood there for another 25 minutes waiting while the next 5 orders were made and given out. A group of teenagers ran through the front door and started asking everyone for cash only donations they seemed to be pocketing. I would have left except the app. precharges your debit card when you place the order. Everyone working there always seems extremely angry, actually arguing with each other at times. I wouldn't say their rude to customers they just look like they hate each other and hate being there. Like your order has annoyed them. I've been here a handful of times now. I order the same thing every time and it's yet to taste the same. I never know what I'm going to get. Also.... one of the 5 start reviews is CLEARLY people they know. They've reviewed one place ever and it happens to be Taylor TSC to say how plesent everyone working there is and how much they loooove the Taylor location. read more

This place is a total joke. This is the most unsanitary place I have ever seen. The bathroom are disgusting. Urine all over toilet seats. Toilet paper and paper towels on the floor. Didn't realize this location had such bad reviews. I've been to other TSC locations and I'm happy this one is 5 minutes from my house. Usually go after work so after 9 pm and the drive thru is sometimes busy, but I've never had over a 15 minute wait. It's usually closer to 5 minutes. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is currently one of my favorite restaurants. I have gotten top quality and friendly service from the five locations that I visit regularly...except from this one. It's the only location I have visited that has a drive-through, so it's possible that that makes the difference? I avoid this location if I can, but a friend requested we meet there. I waited 19 minutes for my smoothie AFTER asking if I was ever going to get it!!! And had I not reminded the employee to not put Splenda in my order, it would have been inaccurate. I ordered through grub hub and when I got there to pick up my order the kid looked it up on the computer and told me it wasn't in there system. I told him I had ordered through yelp and grub hub and he continued to tell me it wasn't there. He wasn't willing to do anything else but look at the computer screen. I asked to speak with a manager and he said he was the manager. I even showed him the email confirmation with the reference number. After I left I called grub hub and they found my order. I told them I didn't want to get food from there any more because of the way It was handled and that I just wanted a refund. I then went to the one on Eureka and they were great there. They told me that the order wouldn't show up in there computer that it would be on the tablet. The manager should have known that and it makes me wonder why he didn't even touch a tablet or try to contact grub hub for me to figure it out.
