I saw this place on Facebook from an influencer who does food reviews for restaurants all over SE Michigan and I was so very excited to try the Steak Afrikano egg rolls but I was just slightly disappointed. They were much smaller than they looked in the influencers video. They were very delicious but for $10 I was hoping they were going to be slightly bigger. Upon walking into the establishment no one greeted me and once I told them I was there for an online order I was pretty much ignored. The egg rolls were tasty, but did have a slight spicy kick on the end of them. Which was tolerable. Inside looked clean and there were tables to sit at. Outside the parking lot is small. Sandwiches here are yummy but my favorite are the steak egg rolls . Full of flavor and dipping them in the sauce they provide or if you have a certain special sauce at home you would like to dip them in . The other fav of mine are the smoothies . Great spot to try out for sure read more

Came here for a quick bite. My nephew got the bowl with chicken & lamb. My other nephew got a huge chicken sandwich. He didn't like it because of the pickles and said that even after removing the pickles, there were so many that it overpowered the sandwich... in the trash it went: I got the chicken schawarma... Okay people, this place is a showstopper!!! I am NOT much of a fries mixed with anything person, but the Afrikano fries are OUT OF THIS WORLD!! This was my first time here and I really enjoyed my sandwich. The chicken was delicious (there was no weird gristle or mystery chewy stuff) and I added tomato and red onions. The sauce was perfect. I went with a half instead of a whole sandwich. The difference was $10 for the half and $14 for the whole. In retrospect I wish I had gotten the whole so I could have it for dinner too (but I decided to eat half of it so I still had half of the half for dinner ). Wanted to update and add another review for Peepo's now that they've opened a location in Canton! This new location is fantastic since I'm in Ann Arbor. I had no problem going down to Taylor, don't get me wrong, but the ease of Canton is nice too! The same great menu and staff are at this new location and I couldn't be happier. The one thing I always is the Afrikano fries but made vegetarian with falafel! You can't go wrong. They're so crispy, fully loaded, spicy and their sauce makes it cooler. Perfection. Make sure you top into their new location or visit the OG location in Taylor. You won't be disappointed! read more

Saw this place in TikTok and it's near my work so I have it a try. It did not disappoint, I got the Afrikano sub, half, and regular fries. The fries were just mid, but the sub made up for it. Super crunchy sesame seed bun, delicious grilled chicken with the most amazing spice to it, it was so good. I cannot wait to get another! First of all there is no seating here, take out only. I had the Fatoosh Salad & the Afrikan Fries with Steak. I have to say that the salad tasted very oily, not much dressing just oil. I then had the Fries and it was VERY delicious, alot of spices mixed into it and it doe have a spicy kick which was perfect. I would love to try the Buffalo chicken fries next. read more

What a delicious experience we had! Everything we had was incredible. The team was very friendly and got our meals prepared super fast. I asked for the tutti frutti smoothie and it was paired perfectly with the afrikano because it cooled us from the spice in the sub. Don't let that deter you because the afrikano was sooo worth it!! BF has been RAVING about Peepos for what seems like forever. It's too far for delivery, but he is willing to drive for Peepos. We placed our order online and pick up was seamless. They have closed down the store and you order / pick up from the window. It's honestly super safe and I love how they're protecting both their workers and customers. I tried the Africano fries with grilled chicken for the first time and it was very good. It is also an insane amount of food. I had enough Peepos for the next 2 meals! This spot came in as a surprise that it was so under the radar. It's at corner where not a whole lot of people travel across. At least I don't. Well I've seen some people say things like "I don't have to go anywhere for 'Malal Guys' peepo's hooked it up!" So yea, if I hear people making a buzz about a joint with that kind of a comparison, I definitely take notice. So here comes the food. Peepo's Platter: Actually pretty good, BUT though shall never compare to "Malal Guys." Because it will never ever compare. This plate is totally different. Afrikaano Platter: This plate is definitely a YES! This is what you come to peepo's for. The flavor, the spicines and the whole destruction in your mouth thing is definitely a winner dish. I was just looking for a decent sub that wasn't from a chain. With bread that didn't more resemble a donut. We were almost to Belleville that day and I thought there just might be something coming up in the search that we were unfamiliar with... Peepo's came up first. I was skeptical, as is my habit. Too many bad sandwiches around Ann Arbor and all I wanted was something with a bit more taste. We took a chance, it was a Saturday after all and drove down there. Along the way, I ascertained from their photos here and online that the Africano was 'the' thing to try. I got the Afrikano chicken sub and yeah, it was spicy and ranchy and haunted me until it was gone! We got the whole size and they lasted for 2-3 days. The ingredients are fresh, piled on thick and you will suffer (in a good way!) for the taste and quality. Check out this bread! With the sesame seeds...really unique to find good sub bread. Now I want another one... Other half got the steak 'n cheese sub which was more mild-mannered and very delicious. We both got a smoothie- the mango banana is less sweet than the strawberry banana, but that is to be expected. They are lovely with the kiwis attached to the clear cup! It's been a week and I still think about Peepo's every day- and their new Canton location really isn't any closer to us in Ann Arbor than the Taylor location. My husband got a beef shawarma amd a chicken shawarma and they were delicious also. I heard about Peepos from Tic Toc so we had to try it, and it did not disappoint. Moved to the area and it's hard to find something different. But saw peepos had a "Chimi" which is pretty much Mediterranean style chicken and toppings wrapped in a tortilla and fried. It was sooo good. I'll definitely be back to try more of their food. read more

I had a coworker that would bring in Peepo's carryout to work here and there, but that was many years ago. I generally stuck with the chicken shawarma and the (now discontinued) fries sandwich. I now live in the area and must admit that this place is amazing and I'm basing that solely on the Afrikano Chicken Rice Bowl I just smashed. I'm actually a bit upset that I moved here in February and am just now experiencing what I just ate. The Afrikano sauce is absolutely perfect. A tad sweet with just the right amount of heat and countered perfectly with a light drizzle of ranch on top! The bowl really had the perfect amount of hearty meat and rice and light, fresh veggies. The falafel appetizer was fried perfectly and served with pita, tahini, pickles, banana pepper rings and jalapenos. There were no complaints from the picky eaters about their meat shawarmas. **Edited to add that their carry out containers are biodegradable and not styrofoam!
