I wanted to try a different location since my previous one wasn't great. Placed an online order fairly easy. Drove up the drive-thru and it was ready for me within minutes upon arriving. I actually had to run inside to use the bathroom and it was very clean inside. The jerk chicken wrap was good, spicy and a good combo deal with the smoothie add on. read more

It's very nasty inside. I saw maggots in the store I have pictures to prove it. Any food place that has maggots needs to be shut down immediately. Not to mention how unprofessional the manager is she's extremely rude and she's just disgusting I can see her with her phone in one hand and making food in her other hand with no gloves on. Just absolutely disgusting and this place truly needs to be checked out I will be calling health places to try to get this place looked at because there gonna make people sicm read more

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood and I just left my tropical smoothie Cafe in nexton and I have to say that not only was my smoothie wonderful but my customer service was excellent thank you so much to the team that worked on June 17th at 1:30 pm read more

Tropical smoothie is always clean and serves bowls, smoothies, salads and sandwiches. The service is friendly. The reason for 3 stars is just that the quantity of food for price is not much- will post my açaí bowl. For $10 I would expect about twice the bowl size. However the quality was on par. read more

I got their açaí smoothie with protein powder. -- It was decent! I didn't like how powder-y it was, but that wasn't much of a surprise there. At least service was fast! The workers made what was asked of them. The place was quiet and didn't attract a ton of foot traffic. I'll come back if I need a quick after-workout protein fix! read more

Overall I like this place. It definitely an option if you want something to go that is healthier than burgers. I love, love, love their avocolada smoothie. Picking up one is usually the reason I stop here. Ive tried other things that I have liked as well, like the Thai chicken salad. Prices are a bit high, but that seems to be the norm at all fast food place. read more

This location is super convenient and located within Nexton and within walking distance to many other restaurants and businesses. They have a wide variety of smoothies available, some are primarily fruit based while others are more vegetable based. They offer a variety of mix-ins or items that can be added to your smoothie for an additional charge, items like flaxseed, protein powder, spinach ect The average price was between $5.50-$6.00 dollars If you're hungry, they also offer items like wraps, sandwiches, salads & quesadillas. This place does a great job smoothies and food perfectly delivered. Staff friendly. Highly recommend

I will never be coming here again. I went through the drive thru to get something for dinner and I was served garbage in a wrap. I order the buffalo chicken wrap - I attached a picture of what the menu says comes in that. It is supposed to be grilled chicken, romaine, tomatoes, mozzarella, buffalo sauce and lite ranch. I was given a wrap with white rice, black beans, grilled chicken, buffalo sauce, the butt of a romaine, no ranch, and PINEAPPLE. YES, PINEAPPLE. It is absolutely disgusting, I was very nice to the two young girls working the window - not sure if this was some kind of joke but I spent $14 on a dinner that 3/4 of us now in my trash can after the first two bites revealed the romaine butt and the pineapple. Never again. read more

EEEKKKK!!! So excited Tropical Smoothie is open in Nexton! It is minutes away from me AND it has a drive thru! Say what???? My daughter had our first visit recently. We did go in and order since we wanted to check it out and scope out the menu. It is nicely decorated and modern, colorful, and clean. It is pretty spacious for a smoothie café. Don't forger your face mask when visiting! I ordered the Mocha Madness which I have had prior, but I normally get peanut butter added to it. I did not this time. I definitely recommend adding the peanut butter if you are a chocolate peanut butter lover. Tropical Smoothie has a ton of add ins so you can customize your smoothie! My daughter ordered the Kiwi Quencher, it was so tropical and refreshing. I am definitely going to try a fruit smoothie next time. The staff was friendly and engaged. They seem to have a great food menu as well. Definitely need to hit this place up for lunch soon! They even offer kid size smoothies which is a plus if you have kiddos! ZERO AND I MEAN ZERO STARS!!!! By far the worst tropical smoothie AND RESTAURANT I've ever been to. Sad because I just moved here and would eat there all the time if I wasn't sighed at with rolling eyes every single time I come through the door. Walked out twice from standing AT THE REGISTER for almost 20 minutes and was COMPLETELY IGNORED! It wasn't busy AT ALL. One person inside (obviously waiting way too long for one smoothie) and one car in the drive through for also one smoothie. 3 workers and they are the reason this place WILL fail. If the owners care about their customers they need to respond with free meals to get people to come back AFTER they restaff instead of commenting with copy and paste responses asking how to make the experience better. WE JUST TOLD YOU HOW AND YOU'VE CHANGED NOTHING. RESTAFF!!!!!! When a past employee posts a review that says she quit due to horrendous work ethics and half the food they serve is expired.... Seriously can't believe anyone would ever eat here again. read more

Not sure why everyone's complaining about long wait times. I've always had fantastic service here either in store or via drive through. They are even great at suggesting alternatives when ingredients are out of stock read more

They was slow and there were no customers. First we went through the drive thru and nobody answered the speaker. So we come inside and stood at the counter for 5 minutes without being greeted. Finally somebody does come to the counter and the girl still just looking at me looking at her. It was minimal interaction and supposed to be servicing me, a paying customer. They rude moral of the story wouldnt recommend. read more

First time going here. Passed by it for years and just never really stopped. Was craving something lite because it was hot outside and was driving by so I went through the drive thru. They had a pretty large menu. Smoothies, bowls, sandwiches, flatbread, and more. I got a Greek yogurt bowl. It had blueberries, strawberries, granola, almonds, honey, etc. It was excellent. The smoothie my daughter ordered was huge. And tasted great. I was highly impressed and definitely will be going back. The wait for our order was longer than it should have been, but the quality of the food made up for any aggravation I felt having to wait. Guy working was polite. read more

I've come at least 6 times now and the service is always good and everyone is friendly. I love that you can add a smoothie to any food order for only $5ish. We also love that you can order breakfast all day! The drive-through is especially helpful with kids in the car. read more

Order a chicken caprese sandwich. Waited 20 minutes at the window for the sandwich. Staff was rude, they would walk by the window and avoid eye contact. Finally got it and everything was just ice cold and not edible. Went inside to see if we could get a refund, no manager or lead. Staff could not even get into the cash register drawer. Refund could not be issues. They offered to make a new sandwich. Everyone huddled in a crowd talking about life. Absolute waste of money. Inside has 3 customers, drive thru had 4 customer. 4 staff Staff then complained about management, Mark, for not assisting they just come in and leave for the day 40 minute wait for 13 dollar sandwich and smoothie does not make sense 20 in drive thru, 20 in the store for a remake Staff tried handling the situation as best as possible. Management is the downfall read more

Today is August 13, 2023 went to the tropical smoothie Café about 11:30 AM got two great smoothies, and was very pleasantly surprised to walk in and they had music and it was cheerful. The guy had a great personality. We enjoyed our Smoothies read more

I was honestly in love with tropical smoothie even though the wait time always took FOREVER. I also work in food and bev so I'm super understanding especially considering how short staffed a lot of places are lately. However the last time I went, I ordered 2 sandwiches a smoothie and 3 large cups of ice, the guy running the window was like I'll give you 4 small cups of ice because they are free. I told him I didn't mind paying for the cup of ice because that's all my kids like from there is their ice... again I have worked food and bev for the past 12 years, I understand Togo cups cost restaurants and I myself have had to charge people for large cups of water/ice etc. Well when I got to the window the guy running the window tried handing me the small cups and again I reminded him I don't mind paying for the cups of ice, so he gives me the 3 large cups of ice and rings me up a second time for the (cups of ice) when I got the receipt I payed $12 FOR 3 CUPS!!! Like what? No where I have EVER worked charged more than a dollar for a large styrofoam cup! Not only that but on the receipt he charged me for three 12oz awesome chocolates whatever that is and persisted to convince me that the cups were the same price. I was so annoyed I just left. I PAYED $12 FOR 3 STYROFOAM CUPS OF ICE!!! That's the most ridiculous thing I've EVER heard!!! Not only that but to charge me for something completely different. If you don't have a button in your system for a Togo cup then you shouldn't be charging for said Togo cup! Needless to say, this place has lost yet another customer, and again I used to wait the ridiculous times and was completely understanding until this! Then after looking at all the terrible yelp reviews as I'm debating on writing this, it all makes since. Something needs to be done, especially considering the amazing location it's in! read more

Extremely slow service. Have tried to give this location many chances, but management needs to HELP. I honestly feel bad for the workers, since management is not trying to hire help or be there to help them. Today, Waited 35 mins in line. 20 mins for a smoothie. Was asked 3 times repeatedly what I ordered at the window. Smoothie was not great tasting and chunky. read more

If you have about 45 minutes to burn waiting on a snack and a smoothie, you have found the perfect destination!!! From the time that we ordered to the time that we received our smoothies it took, not exaggerating, 25 minutes. Once we reached the window, it took 15 minutes to be greeted. We were even asked if we had paid yet, great attention to detail here folks. Let's pay them $15 an hour. Smoothies were sub-par and watered down. Never will recommend to anyone. read more

Went to get a Smoothie, line was long! So I went inside. They didn't want to take any orders so I had to ask for help! When the young man came to the register he was acting like he didn't see that he had customers. He took my order and 3 other people behind me. But gave them their orders first! When I asked the young white girl about my order she replied I don't have anything to do with that , ask him bc I'm not going back and forth with you!" Excuse me for asking why I didn't I get my smoothie in order. Then she proceeded to talk trash after I let her know I did not appreciate her response. So I told her manager and she continued talking trash so as I'm leaving she says fuck you bitch! I said no fuck your mother bitch for having a disrespectful daughter like you. So rude and unprofessional! I would never come here again! In life! read more

i usually don't comment on wait times as i worked in food service for quite some time, but the wait times are ridiculous here. waste of gas to sit in the drive thru line, they really should have waited to open if they didn't have sufficient staffing. it inconveniences customers and stresses out staff. won't be returning to this location. read more
