Smoothie King has a few relatively new menu items that keep me coming back. Their new smoothie bowls are amazing. They have a smoothie like base and they are topped with deliciously fresh tasting fruit! Today I got the High Five smoothie bowl. It has an açaí base with goji berries, bananas, mangos, and shredded coconut on top. They look amazing when you get them. They taste just as good. If you haven't been here in a while - come back! I started going to Smoothie King in Ballentine, SC back in 2022. During my first visit I had no idea of what to order then the Manager Johnnie C. stepped up. Since I have a love for peanut butter she suggested the Peanut Power Plus with strawberries. At first I was apprehensive to give it a try then thought why not. Thanks to Johnnie's suggestion I order this smoothie at least three times a week. Since that time Johnnie relocated to the Charleston SC to head a store in the area. An old employee in Ballentine told me where she was so i paid a visit. Johnnie was pleasantly surprised to see me and knew exactly what I wanted to order. I love stopping over to smoothie king and the service is always fast. If you haven't gotten the island impact before it's my favorite. After a particularly hot hour of stair climber-ing at the gym, I decided to try Smoothie King's Chocolate Shredder smoothie to recover and cool off on my drive home. The location has a drive-thru, but I decided to walk in so that I could view the menu and check the location out. The building is comfortable inside, with Wi-Fi and lots of tables and chairs for socializing, as well as some grab-and-go items like protein bars and Bang drinks. You can also buy Smoothie King's brand of protein in the shop if you like it and want to make your own smoothies at home. The menu is rather large with lots of variety (slim, fitness, and veggie blends) as well as nutritional add-ins. Even though I drink a lot of smoothies and consider myself fairly knowledgeable about nutrition, I wasn't sure what everything was, especially things like "Diet Down Enhancers" or the differences in the Lean and Gladiator proteins. The staff members weren't very talkative and didn't ask if I had any questions or offer suggestions. The smoothie itself was just okay. It was cold and well-blended, but it had a strong protein aftertaste. The shakes are in plastic cups, so on a 75 degree day in April, in an air conditioned car, I found myself gulping the smoothie so it didn't melt before I got home. I can't imagine how quickly it would melt on a hot, humid, summer day. With so many options for smoothies and other frozen drinks in West Ashley, I'm not sure that I'll come here the next time the smoothie craving hits. read more

Ok, so I'm halfway through my 32 oz smoothie, and I have to pause because I may pass out, so I'll take this time to write my review. Smoothie King has a drive thru. Convenient when it's raining. Today, it's raining. I pull up to the huge menu of options, and the guy speaking to me clearly knows that I need some help, so he starts offering up suggestions based on my fruit preference. He then tells me that there's a special on Fridays, where you can get a 32 oz (medium) for $5! Yes, please. I pulled around and had my smoothie in hand within moments. So quick ... you might almost say it was "smooth" ... right? Ok, so the taste is legit. No fake raspberries here. These little puppies were recently smooshed and smoothed out recently, and the flavor (and smell) jumps out at you. Hurry up and get'cha one today! read more

the customer service here is awful. I've had one lady interrupt me while I tried to order and get an attitude with me for no reason. And every time I go here they take 30+ minutes before they even talk to me at the drive thru. Poor service. People here do not care about the customers. It's very disappointing. read more

Today I sat in the drive-through for 15 minutes before somebody came on the speaker to ask me what my order was once I got to the window I sat there for another 10 minutes to the point where I said the hell with it and drove off and went down the street to tropical smoothie where I got my smoothie in under three minutes! I have been to this location several times and you're literally in the drive-through for 20 to 25 minutes or you're in the store for 20 minutes this place needs to get their stuff together! Will not be back to this location. Again staff is slow and completely rude! read more

The smoothies are pretty good if you can find one you like. The staff here is generally pretty nice but have had some bad interactions. They're kind of funny honestly. They might ask you to repeat your order 10 times. And they might only have one person working inside with 5 cars in the drive through taking over 30 minutes to get to the window. Hours say 7a-9p Monday - Friday. At 7:26p on a Friday, the doors are locked, no employees to be found, but the sign still says "Open." This is the 3rd time I have tried this location in the past year and it has been the same issue every time. Either fix your posted hours, fire staff, or close this location if you don't have enough employees to staff it for the posted hours. read more

Stopped by the new Smoothie King on Sam Rittenberg Blvd in West Ashley (Charleston). The staff was friendly and there was no wait to order food inside (several cars in drive through). I ordered a 32 oz Chocolate Shredder. It has 390 calories,47 grams of protein, 26 grams of sugar, and just five grams of fat. The smoothie tasted great and kept me full for the remainder of the afternoon. read more

I tried calling no answer but I can say I would never go back. I called another location to ask why the drink I asked for with only 2 flavors had several other ingredients in it one I was allergic to and the other three I don't like!!!! They cannot modify their drinks because it won't fill up the cup. So instead they add protein and other fruit to fill the cup up. NOT COOL and dangerous since I have allergies to certain foods. Today I will make my first public complaint for any f&b establishment as it's well warranted. I got to Smoothie King drive thru and was asked to come inside as they were only making orders "in house" due to staffing issues. No problem, it happens. I get inside and am in line for several minutes before the cashier comes and advises that they will no longer be taking any orders. She was polite and it was evident that she felt awkward as she reiterated that "he said no more orders." I clarified that I'd just been asked to come inside and she said yes I'm sorry. Idk if the guy having a fit was the manager on duty or owner but either way, I won't be back. Worst customer service ever! I was craving a strawberry and banana smoothie and drove 15 mins to get to this location. As I pulled up to the drive thru and ordered a "20 oz strawberry banana smoothie" the girl on the other end replied with "we dont do that, are you looking at the menu?" (I was obviously looking at the menu if I was sitting in the drive thru). Although, there is not just a strawberry banana smoothie on the menu.. Ive ordered this previously, one of which was 2 weeks ago no problem! Obviously their smoothies arent pre-made so I'm not sure why they gave me such a hard time about it. Besides the girl being rude and very condescending, the smoothie they made me was terrible and was not just strawberry and banana! Worst $6 Ive ever spent because it immediately went in the trash!
