You don't need to read all these reviews. This location sucks. Drive-thru service always takes forever. They ask for your sides when you order, ask again when you get to the window, and then either give you the wrong thing or nothing at all. Waited 5-ish minutes for one smoothie the other night. Was asked to pull up and waited at least 10 more minutes for a wrap and a sandwich. No sides. Pulled over and went inside where the employee was apologetic but pointed to the wall so I could grab my own stuff. Does it matter that he didn't hand me the requested sides? I ordered the açaí berry boost smoothie which tasted really good. $6 was a bit expensive for the smoothie but I wanted to have it as my lunch and add in a protein. The menu (on the wall) is a bit confusing and it takes time to read it in order to decide from all the choices. While there are many types of shakes to choose from and it said you could add protein, I couldn't find the protein choices on the wall menu. Turns out the protein choices are on a card posted on the front of the register. I didn't see it until I had already placed my order. Had the sunrise sunset smoothie and it was great! Big portion size. Fruity flavor but not too sweet. Our cashier was very friendly.

This is without a doubt the worst Tropical Snoothie location in Michigan. I went to the door to pick up my order which I placed through the app. The app said to go inside to pick it up and there were no signs stating that the lobby area was closed. So I tried to go inside but the coworker was extremely rude yelling "drive thru." I tried to explain that I have a pick-up and she just kept screaming "drive-thru." She was working on 6/7 at 8:45 pm, brownskinned, and wearing a short wavy hair in a ponytail. I found this to be extremely rude. And why should I have to wait in a drive thru that was not moving for an order that I already ordered and paid for? Especially when my food would probably be cold by that time. This is not the first time I've had problems with this location either. Last time I came, I said no oranges in my smoothie because I am allergic and they put them in anyway. The manager did not even believe me, yet I have the pictures to prove it. This was my first time coming back since that encounter and it will be my last. Truly unfortunate considering that I buy smoothies about 3x a week. Will be taking my business to Beyond from here on out. read more

TSC is really expanding! I am starting to see these popping up around Michigan more and more! This was my first time visiting this location and this one has a drive thru! The one on Hall Road didn't! Score! I ordered the same thing again...the "sunrise sunset" which is delicious. Only difference was...THIS ONE WAS HUGE! the first time I tried TSC, the cup was half this size and I paid the same price! There is NO way I am going to finish this! Debated between a 2 and 3 star. Ended up at 2. It was my first time at Tropical Smoothie, and maybe by my luck I just ended up picking two bad options, but wasn't really that thrilled with what I got. I got the Dragonfly Smoothie, and a chicken wrap (which I forget the official name for). It's not that they were bad, it's just that they weren't really that good either. Just very basic. Which normally would be fine, but the fact that you're paying over $6 for each of them, for the quantity you get would make you really think that at least the quality should be above average. On top of that, and the main reason for the low review, would be the fact that it took 25 minutes to wait in line to actually get the order. This is quite possibly the slowest drive thru in the history of mankind. To top off the slow service, the workers are extra ornery and unkind. They act as if you are honestly putting them out because they have to do their job. I ordered the Chia Banana Boost with strawberries. I knew ordering it I would probably not get it with the strawberries but the pnut butter. Well, sure enough, I didn't get what I ordered. The receipt reads Chia Banana Boost w/strawberries but it was definitely with pnut butter instead. It was yummy! But not what I ordered. Boyfriend ordered the Veggie Hummus wrap and we still can't figure what in the hell he got instead. This review is solely based on my visit today. I am a frequent customer of TSC. I love their smoothie offerings and healthier "fast food". I was greeted my the manager after I arrived inside who was assisting with the lunch rush. I ordered a Chicken Pesto Flatbread and Strawberry Limeade Smoothie. I also picked up the guilty pleasure chocolate chip cookie that was located next to the registers. Customer service was good. My order was taken promptly and I waited. I have been to this location a number of times during the lunch hours (between 11-2) and honestly the wait was ridiculously long. I passed up the drive thru on this visit because of the long line. During this visit I only waited about about 6 minutes for my food which was great. They were pretty busy inside as well. My smoothie was correct this visit as well as my food. I've learned from past visits to check my order before leaving. The staff was friendly but as other Yelpers have expressed, it seems they struggle to keep up with the lunchtime demand. I came here twice! I received terrible and rude customer service from a man named Charles the 1st time in the drive thru during my experience. The drive thru man interrupted me through the intercom 3 times AFTER I politely told him I was not finished with my order. I'm new to the menu and was still looking when he gave me my total. I asked him if I could order something else and he literally said "no". I ordered a breakfast item anyways and proceeded to write this review. The smoothie and breakfast taco was good but I was not satisfied with the customer service. The 2nd time I came I ordered a smoothie and the lady hadn't even rung it in by the time i got to the window. The manager had to ask me my order again and then asked me to pull up and wait for it. There was an incredible drive through line so I went in person. After ordering 3 drinks I waited around 25 minutes. It was disappointing to have to wait such a long time for a drink, but understandable. You could tell the staff was working incredibly hard and had all hands on deck. There was one lady working on 3 smoothies at once! It's incredible to see how determined they were to get everyone's orders correct and while the wait was a bit, it's understandable. I ordered my usual this afternoon, a cranberry truffle with pea protein in the drive thru...I get my smoothie and it tastes horrible. I go inside and ask if they can make another one. The cashier says "oh yeah I forgot to tell you we are out of white chocolate". Why would make a smoothie and give it to a customer knowing that you don't have all of the ingredients to actually make it properly ? Why would not ask the customer if they wanted something else before making it? So I ask if they can make another smoothie. The girl puts the ingredients in the blender, turns it on but it was so thick that it didn't even blend. I tell her it didn't blend and she says yes it did. The girl pours the smoothie in the cup and hands it to me, the smoothie is completely unblended. I asked them to make a strawberry banana smoothie and it was flavorless. I was excited to find this location amongst my travels!! I am not sure if it is a new location but my smoothie order was very quick. I appreciated it since I was in a rush. The girl recommended a very tasty smoothie Avocada? It was nutritious and tasty! I was back on the road within minutes and very satisfied with the smoothie. It was very refreshing and I felt full and satisfied. I am happy that this location is here! The inside appeared clean and the service was fast they also have a drive-through. The staff was very friendly. I could also see the drive-through moving very quickly which I was impressed with I will definitely be back when I am on this side of town. read more
