This is our go-to smoothie place. They have tons of options! I've tried many different flavors and I have enjoyed them all. My boys who are into fitness appreciate that you can add protein to any shake. We usually order on the app and pick up. Sometimes we end up earning a free smoothie, but it hasn't happened often despite going there as often as we do. Their reward program could maybe be improved upon to truly reward frequent customers. First time trying this place. Sunrise Sunset was good and refreshing, but I wish it was blended a little bit more. There is only one size for the smoothies, however, I feel like the price is justified for the size and amount of smoothie you get. Food here is pretty good too, it's nice to get "fast food" that doesn't make you feel sick after. The prices are pretty reasonable too. Lets start with the atmosphere. The pictures on the walls and the seats are very colorful and go with the theme of tropical. The staff wasn't really friendly. I ordered a smoothie and surprised that they only have one size. I got the Mango Magic, i'm almost sure the fruit was frozen because it didn't taste fresh. and the cup was so huge that it could've probably last me a year. I have had frozen fruit in my smoothies but then they also add fresh fruit. The smoothie place also did not have the same atmosphere as other smoothie places I visited. There was no fresh fruit on the counters, and no green leverage or vegetables showing. I ordered a sandwich Turkey Apple Dijon. The sandwich was supposed to come with Apple slaw. The slaw did not taste like apple, very mushy and when I picked up the sandwich it basically fell apart. I also think it would be good if they could offer other kinds of bread with the sandwich. I wish this place would have the calorie counts for their sandwiches and smoothies, because their sandwiches are definitely not low. read more

So I am taking a star away because this location has gotten a little lazy. Or maybe it's that they can't get a handle on mobile orders. I started doing mobile orders as we found that our baby falls asleep after her swim lesson and we always go to TSC right afterwards. Rather than moving her in and out, we just order it before we leave so it's ready for pickup and we can eat it in the car quickly before she realizes the vehicle has stopped moving and wakes back up. The first time it was a fail, they had my smoothies up on the counter and I figured the sandwiches weren't ready yet, so I waited and it wasn't until a young man working there asked if there was something else to which I replied "the sandwiches", he walked over to asked the food folks and lo and behold the plastic bag with sandwiches sitting on top of the oven (that I had already seen) were mine. Must have been difficult to walk it over. Oh and the tomatoes were in the wrap we had requested no tomatoes. The second time, I went to pick up and there was a smoothie on the counter. The girl asked if I was the mobile order I said yes and she looked confused why I wasn't taking it but there had been two of the same smoothie ordered. She was apologetic, but it's just been this consistent sort of "eh" service the last few times. Even having to remind them to put the sides in the bags or go back in to get them. read more

I just recently discovered that I can ask for smoothies without sweetener, which really doesn't make a difference in flavor. They have a lot of trouble paying attention to in-app preorders here. Can't comment on the smoothies - never got to order. We went in and had one person ahead of us being waited on by the woman working there. There were two people behind the bar. The other - a man was doing some work off to the side. No one acknowledged us but that didn't matter. Then another customer came in and went right to the register and the man went over to help her. So, I discovered tropical smoothie 8 years ago on a vacation to Virginia beach. Myself and the people I was with fell in love with the the smoothies!!!! We made it a tradition that whenever we went away as a group, we would head to the closest one! Around October of 2015 we discovered that tropical smoothie had recently opened up nearby (I am from RI, it's about a 25 minute drive)! This made us so happy! We have all visited several times since November. We often go completely out of our way just to grab a smoothie and a bite to eat. I have a few favorite smoothies but my most recent favorite is the avacolada smoothie! Also, they have the BEST apple kale slaw!!! I would and do recommend tropical smoothie to everyone I know. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is an amazing place to grab a smoothie before school or work. Many people don't know that between 7am-9am, the smoothies are actually half off! The smoothies here always taste amazing, and the only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because of their service. Often times, they only have 1 person working. Ideally they should have 3 people working at a time so one person can focus on smoothies, another on making the food, and another on taking the orders. What costumers love about tropical smoothie cafe is how fast you can get your smoothie and carry on with you day. If it takes more than 10minutes, than some costumers would rather prefer stopping by Dunkin and picking up a coffee. Once again- Tropical Smoothie Cafe is amazing but there should be more people working there especially during the morning rush. read more

I have visited twice already and both times I was very pleased. There are not enough juice bars or smoothie bars in the area so I was thrilled when I found this one. The place is bright and inviting and has a beach vibe inside. They offer food but I have yet to try any because I solely came to get a smoothie on both occasions. The first time I had a smoothie with mango and pineapple and protein which was delicious. The second time was better though. I had the kiwi quencher that contains strawberries, kiwis, and nonfat yogurt. It tasted awesome. My boyfriend got the island green smoothie with spinach and kale and pineapple and other fruits that I can't recall at the moment. I really liked his a lot because it wasn't overly sweet. I enjoy the many offerings for add ins as well. If you are in the mood for something cold and refreshing give this place a shot! read more

The food and service here is usually excellent. Sometimes, like today, I feel like the person making the food doesn't care at all about quality. The quesadillas had way too much cheese and were super messy and burned. The also forgot to put the salsa in, which happens 3 out of 4 times. This place is incredible! If you are looking for a way to get more veggies and superfoods into your diet yet not crunch on lettuce all day, this is your place! They have a ridiculous number of smoothies offer and they are huge! My favorites are the detox island, health nut, and triple berry. The nutritional information is available, I use this to make most of my choices, and they use all fresh ingredients. They also have a special during the week, half priced smoothies from 7am-9am so I come right before work to get a smoothie for breakfast or save it for lunch. You can't beat the price during that time. If you try to make these smoothies on your own you would be paying a lot more. Staff is very friendly and they work quickly. The absolute WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a wrap with no romaine and asked them to press the wrap. Cashier said sure no problem, I get the wrap and it's not pressed (not a big deal) but with absolutely no kale or spinach or any greens whatsoever. I tell the server and he proceeds to walk away and tells me theres No charge. I said I already paid. He ignores me and walks away. I patiently waited for 15 mins to see if he would come back with a wrap. Nope. So I went up to the register spoke with the girl who rang me up and she got the MOD. This guy proceeded to tell me he couldnt make me another wrap because they were closing in 25 mins. Hmmm in the meantime, the was a line of customers now behind me who were not turned away because they were closing in 25 mins. Hmmm. I told him to keep his coupon and wrongly made wrap. This location is not the greatest, but it's the closest & the fact that it's veteran-owned is an added incentive to me personally. They don't usually get too busy, & thank goodness for that. They have a small staff that seem to easily get overwhelmed. They offer a large variety of smoothies (I've like every one that I've tried) and many sandwiches, salads, & wraps. A meal comes with your choice of fresh fruit or baked chips. You can add a smoothie for $3.50. You pay slightly more than you would for a meal at some other fast food joint, but you'll leave feeling healthy & with the rest of your smoothie to enjoy . I needed something relatively healthy and fast. They have a nice line-up of smoothies, but be careful: they add SUGAR to all of them, but it's not listed in the ingredients. The only way I figured it out was that there were two calorie counts, looked something like this: 600 calories (with Splenda 400 calories). Yes, when asked they said they throw sugar in. every. smoothie. I told her to make me one with no sugar, nothing that wasn't listed right there on the menu. This was my go to place when I found out about it late in my pregnancy because this was how I was able to intake my fruits and veggies since I was never a fan of eating healthy. I would take multiple trips in a week from where I live. But long story short, last night I was disappointed because I ordered something different and hoping to get a new refreshing taste but as I got home to drink my "watermelon mojito" it tasted of spoiled watermelon. I did call to let the girl know of the issue because I did order it right before its closed. I suggest to the girl over the phone that watermelon cannot be left outside or any fruits for a long period of time especially during a hot weather like yesterday where it was 90 degrees and she seem to be careless of the situation or unsympathetic about the situation. I've been to this place a few times, pretty good food but the main draw are the smoothies. The one bad thing about this place is the service/ wait time. You place your order then wait for your name to be called and an employee will bring you what you ordered. The place is crowded most of the time and they usually have only one register open, while at the same time they are taking orders over the phone. This can really slow things down as the person ringing out a line of customers is also the one taking calls. they seem understaffed, so things can be a bit messy, depending on what time of day you go. On a really hot day? Everyone is out getting a smoothie, but they don't seem to have enough staff to handle it. Overall quality of what they have to offer is good. read more
