I was on the go and love stopping by tropical smoothie cafe as a quick and convenient bite. They also have a wide variety of options and some great healthy choices. I also appreciate that they lost the calories for certain items because I've been on a diet and helps me stay with in my diet. I got my hot to meal which is the turkey bacon ranch sandwich with a bag of jalapeño chips. As usually it was sooo yummy. They are pretty generous with the portion and I appreciate they don't skimp on the protein. It's great for lunch because it is filling but still light enough I didn't get groggy. UPDATE: 6/9/2020 Well we had a good run, Tropical Smoothie Cafe. But i Just picked up a drink from there and watched an employee talking to her friends over the counter, who was wearing no mask, and she then fist bumped all three of the them, and went back to making orders without even washing her hands. Covid or not, that's disgusting. Avoid this place if you value cleanliness from the people making your food. Really great place with a great variety of smoothies and lunch type foods. I have enjoyed everything I've had here except today i ordered a sandwich which on their website looks to be a whole sandwich, the turkey apple Dijon, but what i got was literally half a sandwich. Long review alert get ready for the tea During our visit to the Tropical Smoothie Café today we witnessed a disturbing scene. As we walked in inside the dining area we noticed two young girls only wearing bikini tops and shorts. While this is extremely inappropriate in the dining facility, I did not want to create a scene. Also those girls were very load and were blocking the order counter. After observing this chaos for a couple minutes we realized that the girls are friends of the workers. Clearly all of them together looks like they were having a party and completely ignored us as customers. When I finally got one of the workers attention, she did not greet me and made me feel disrespected. As soon as my order was placed the girl quickly returned to talking to her friends. Normally, I would expect to be informed of waiting time and observe how they make my order. Since I was extremely upset of the lack of their customer service skills, I decided to wait outdoor on the bench, right in front of the cafe. However my husband wanted to stay in and wait to be called to pick up our order. I told him that I've been to this place many times and usually the workers bring your order to your table. We were sitting outside on the bench which I assume was café seating. About 15 minutes later my husband walked in to check on our order. He returned upset saying that he could not get to the counter to even ask workers of the order due to crowd of same half clothed friends surrounding it. We gave them another 5 min and then I walked in to figure out what takes so long. Everyone ignored me. Thankfully, the kitchen cook (Brianna) decided to help me. She was very professional and immediately fixed the problem. Obviously, it was not her part of the job but she went out of her way to help me. She displayed affection, interest in helping customer, was very kind and attentive. Apparently our food was sitting in the window, unlabeled and cold. The smoothie was melted and watered down. Very disappointed. I suggest that management of this location retrain their workers and emphasize the importance of serving the customer properly. At the end of the day, they are the face of the company. Briana is a perfect example of an excellent worker. She deserves a bonus for her hard work. The other 2 girls who were upfront appeared unreliable and unprofessional. I hope the TSC customer service team sees this review and consider my feedback. Thank you. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally got the chance. Boy am I glad I did! I ordered a smoothie, the "Bahama mama" and a "Chicken Pesto" flatbread. The smoothie was very refreshing and the flatbread was the perfect lunch size for me, as well as filling. All of the employees were very kind and helpful while I made my decision and offered recommendations of their favorites. They made sure to greet me at the door and I left very satisfied. The smoothies were MASSIVE! Super friendly workers and great quality smoothies. I was pleasantly surprised. Warning though, I ordered through GrubHub and they told me it would be 45 minutes but when I arrived 30 minutes early it was already ready! I'm so happy these guys opened a location closer than Polaris! This is the best place to get a smoothie in Powell. Or, possibly, the city. They have a great variety of smoothies (including just fruit ones, which is all I ever want and sometimes hard to find) with a variety of optional supplements and add-ons. Their food is good too and includes vegetarian/vegan options. I highly recommend the Blimey Limey and the peanut butter breakfast wrap. They just opened, but the staff already seemed to have a routine down and were lovely. The inside is fairly small (there are two small tables if you need to dine in), but it's attractive and clean. I am fairly new to the area and decided to try out the Tropical Smoothie Cafe here. I've been to different locations before, so I'm familiar with the set-up of the menu and what I like. I went with a chia banana boost smoothie, where you get your choice of peanut butter or strawberry. I got it with strawberry and it's rather delicious!! They also allow substitutions and while they do put sugar in most smoothies, you are able to request no sugar which is usually the route I go for. I went in the morning and the staff was so helpful, knowing I wanted to try something new. We carried on with small talk as they made my smoothie and it made me feel very welcome. To my surprise they don't have any vegetarian/vegan options that I saw with that flat breads which was EXTREMELY disappointing. I'm not sure if I just missed the fact that they put milk in their smoothies or maybe that is just a known fact but I wish that it was highlighted that they put milk in their smoothies.
