I started frequenting this location over the past month due to its convenience and when I'm avoiding greasy foods. Honestly, I enjoyed every order I made to Tropical Smoothie at this location. Their service is always quick too. Whether I order ahead or while in the store, I don't think I wait more than 5 minutes. I have tried their smoothies (so far my faves are the Sunrise Sunset and the Mango Monsoon), their sausage/egg/cheese quesadillas, and their Thai chicken wrap. The wrap was kinda sloppily prepared but overall everything tasted really good. If I want to split a big smoothie into kid sizes, they do it with no hesitation. I would return. read more

Super friendly staff! Our grandchildren LOVED their kids smoothies and they were priced good! Thank you!!

Food is always so fresh, the people that work there are super nice, my food is always quick at this location, and this açaí bowl was $11.. bigger than the ones you get for $20 at other places. Also they have the best toppings, fruit, sweet granola, honey and chia seeds. 10/10 read more

What in the world happened here? Service used to be great, now you're waiting over 30 minutes for a pick up order.

I've been to this location many times as it is the only Tropical Smoothie Cafe in my area. Today I had such a great experience thanks to Eric who greeted me right away and simply displayed such a positive attitude. Customer service always plays a big role in my reviews and I was very pleased with the customer service today. This location is super cute, trendy, clean and offers plenty of seating both inside and outside. My favorite smoothie is actually a retired smoothie and I'm always so glad they can still make it when requested (try it, it's called the Tropicolada). I've only had their smoothies and cookies but I do plan on trying their food sometime soon. The Hurricane smoothie was really good, too! read more

The smoothies and bowls are good but yesterday I ordered curbside on the app and waited for 20 minutes before calling and they said they would bring it out. I then waited another 10 minutes before having to eventually just go in and get it. I asked what I need to do to not have that happen again and he said to make sure I was parked right in front. I went on my way to work today and did just that and same thing. I waited 20 minutes before calling and she said on the phone, but they no longer do curbside. Why do they have curbside as an option on the app if they don't do it? I had to wait a half an hour both days without any communication that I needed to go in to get it. Curbside does not mean you go in to get it. Now my smoothie is melted. read more

The managers at tropical smoothie took away the ability for us to receive online tips (people would average around $200 a paycheck and they took it away without any explanation) We all fought for our tips, yet they would rather lose all of their employees than do the right thing. We have tried to go back and check on the store, and it's a complete mess :( read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Trash can completely overfilled (They closed earlier the day before to clean) - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Lutz, Florida

I know they're under staffed but no one here wears gloves while making drinks! Food orders are usually wrong or not made correctly either but it's the closest one to my house so I keep coming back read more

The employee names Griffen was a gentlemen and a total stud. He made the best smoothie I've ever had and was so cool!!

The manager Susan is as unprofessional as they come. She frequently walks around with her horrific stomach exposed (with customers in the building), she brings the smell of cigarettes into the establishment and gives the okay on products that put customers at risk. To further elaborate she allowed plastic shards to be "picked out" of an Açaí base container to serve to the public (I was present in a group chat that displayed such event). The staff besides her are well intentioned however many are leaving or plan on leaving due to her volatile and rude nature. There's been black mold in the ice machine and occasionally food prepped is done so without gloves or washed hands. Take your business elsewhere if you care for yourself. read more

I don't even know how they are still open. it's so dirty in here. There were a crap ton of gnats as soon as I walked through the door, trash on the floor. Dirty tables. And mind you, the store had just opened a few minutes before I got there. I went to use the bathroom and it was so nasty and infested with gnats that it felt like a cheap gas station bathroom. I felt like I'd catch aids just from breathing the air in there. There was leftover piss from one of the customers and it looked like a marinated lemon surprise. the sink was falling off the wall and there was a huge hole in the wall from the door handle hitting it so much. the outside of the trash cans look like they are infested with the bacteria from osmosis Jones. The only noce thing about this store was the cashier and even she didn't look like she wanted to be there. All around, highly do not recommend. Good luck. read more

The only thing I can say is... every employee here hates their job. The employees just don't care about anything. Every time I come here I see an employee flat out argue with customers. It is a shame because food is good. I am really surprised corporate just doesn't care. read more

ordered curbside and was outside for 30 minutes before i had to go inside to get my order. what is the point of having curbside if im waiting outside for half a hour and the employees are just sitting around in they're phone and just chatting it up. This is disheartening for me to review but I felt the need to. Today is the second time I've walked in to tropical smoothie. Love the menu! Food options and smoothies are great. Sadly, the employees are awful. Teens with attitudes that clearly don't want to be there. Last time they were vaping in the back yet in clear sight. Don't greet customers etc. i would love to make this a regular spot however until they fix their staffing issues I will not be back. read more

The smoothies and jalapeño corn was good but the wraps were terrible. I got a veggie wrap that barely had rice and beans and a chicken jerk wrap that was almost as tiny. Rice and beans are really cheap so I'm not sure why they skimped on it. I am a small person and this wasn't filling it was mostly a tortilla. My order was through Doordash to see if maybe I'd go in person in the future which won't be the case. read more

What is shitshow at 1 p.m. today. I ordered curbside pickup nobody came outside so I went inside and they couldn't find my order they said it would be ready. In the interim the shakes finally got ready as I waited 20 min and they are melting... They asked me for my order number I show it and they said oh it's been ready the whole time sitting here getting freaking cold now I got cold sandwiches and melted smoothies what a disaster today. The sandwich was disgusting when I got home. Its dripping in sauce. Also the smoothies are used with all ice and 1 scoop of product. My suggestion dont use ice. Get new staff.... read more

Why 4 stars? A new spot that popped up in the area. I have been before but it has been a long time at a different location. The food was decent and fresh, the smoothie was recommended by an employee and was very tasty and the facility was clean. Not much more to ask, but not a 5 star drop what you are doing spot. Those are rare. The highlight of the trip was a friendly employee by the name of Liam. He explained a lot, did it with a smile, made recommendations and is the type that makes your spot get an extra star. read more

The owner has a sign in the window to announce they are a veteran owned business. Yet, they stopped giving military discounts. Owner remarks they pay for their stuff everyone else can also. Needless to say as a vet, this location won't get any more of my business. I will make sure to spread the word to all my friends who are veterans. read more

First people to order. Family who ordered after was finished with their entire meal and we still had not gotten our sandwiches. After 30 minutes, we finally got the food. My boyfriends wrap had no chicken and they gave me something I did not order. I tried to call the store to see what was up, and the workers kept hanging up on me. Very disappointed. First time trying this place will never come back. Please contact me I spent $25 and everything was wrong. read more

I had the Avocalada Smoothie and Thai Chicken Bowl. The smoothie was a massive size and inexpensive for only $6. The ingredients did not seem fresh, mostly sugar. It seems more like a sonic fast food place. The chicken was terrible on my bowl, the romaine lettuce was so cheap. This is 100% not healthy at all, I might have just ate at McDonald's. Would not recommend. read more

Home run!!! This was a the best thing to happen in Land O Lakes. I was so happy to discover that Tropical Smoothie opened in our area. The Management and staff are top notch. they forgot my order and waited an entire hour for my food, its a waste of time.

Don't expect your online order to be ready in the morning. You'll walk in, 15 minutes later, to employees sitting in the back, having a chat. They'll be surprised an order has even arrived. From my experience in the service industry, it's highly likely this was not a one time thing. That kind of employee behavior is a culture issue, and I expect unsatisfactory service is commonplace at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Lutz. I've been going to Planet Smoothie off of Collier Parkway for years, and I've never had a poor experience. The employees at Planet Smoothie are always engaged, attentive, and polite. I decided to try out Tropical Smoothie since it opens earlier, but I won't be bothering again. read more

Very disappointed in my first visit. Smoothie was watery so I kindly asked for them to remake it. I then came back for a second chance a few days after. My smoothie was watery again. I know what they are supposed to taste like because I was actually a Tropical Smoothie Cafe employee a few years ago in Georgia. I also asked for a bowl and got a wrap instead. I kindly asked them to remake the smoothie again because I did pay for it, so I would like it the right way. The manager had a rude tone with me about the remake of the smoothie. read more
