Almost finished cheese quesadilla not bad for a 9 year old.....who uses the sauce anyway...
Jacob L.

I had the pineapple smoothie there, and it tasted like a mashed pineapple. The only thing is that their edible straws tasted like candy. The smoothie was healthy, but the straw was not. My 9 year old approves of review

Workers are very rude and don't even speak English, couldn't even answer a simple question about what was in a smoothie.

No comment. All I want to say is that customer service is very important if you want your business to succeed.

Lovely hardworking family. Not a lot of signage and the door opens to the kitchen which gets you into a speakeasy. Was greeted by the owners and the local patrons from the assisted living residents. This was a first for us. We got pecan short cake (delish, but sweet), chicken fried. Steak (very substantial, had home fries extra crisp very good) dirty dirty grits, (mixed grits with bacon ham and onions, covered with cheese). All were delicious, and generous portions. We all enjoyed the good food and company. Total worth checking out, support your local mom and pop businesses.

As would be expected with a condo, there is very little guest parking - maybe 9 spaces- and they were all full. Thus, I parked on the street behind the condo. There is lots of free street parking all over this area, which is mostly residential. There is some construction being done on the front and side of the building, so the entrance is a little hard to find. It is on the West side of the building, and it doesn't look like the entrance to a restaurant AT ALL! Just a side door propped open with a large, wooden, hand-painted sign next to it announcing the Cafe. I walked into the door and accidentally turned into the kitchen. The cook greeted me warmly and redirected me down the other hallway. I loved this place already! The Cafe looks like an old Southern diner, in a very not-decorated-by-a-designer way, which felt very homey to me. Two diners greeted us when we came in, we sat ourselves at a booth table, and eventually our wonderfully eclectic and kind storytelling waitress brought us menus. The menus are lovingly written in a colloquial, storytelling style that is fun and warm to read. Otherwise, the peeling laminate menus are wonderfully non designed also, and again, I love this! The board of daily specials was special with cornbread french toast amongst the items. I loved seeing more than one regular menu item I have never seen anywhere else (grits inside an egg wrap. My friend chose a breakfast quesadilla. I chose to make my own meal by ordering a slice of (heavily touted on the menu) banana bread, hashbrown casserole, and grits with cheese. I loved every bite! The hashbrown casserole was giant, and crisped all over the outside, so cutting it open was a treat- delicious. The banana bread was light, moist, and also delicious. The grits with cheese were nothing different or special, which was exactly as I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this quirky hidden cafe! Shoot! I am already craving hashbrown casserole and banana bread again...

The location overlooking a bit of the golf course and the waterway was so pretty and peaceful. As we were pulling into a parking spot, we saw a group of iguanas sunbathing and some ducks and Egyptian geese enjoying the front pond. On the way out, a golfer was practicing on the mini putting green in front of the entrance. There were a lot of guys -- golfers? -- enjoying adult libations in the bar. And that kept the two servers busy. We were in the dining room next door and there was only one other party dining in for a late lunch. They have a lunch menu, drinks menu, and regular menu. We both ordered specials from the lunch menu. My husband got the "pick two". There were a number of possible combos, but he chose a turkey sandwich and chili soup. He asked for no lettuce on the sandwich but yes to the tomato, onion, and mayo. When his food came, the turkey sandwich was plain with mayo on the side. No onion and no tomato! He'd also requested just the chili -- no additions. But they still gave him grated cheese and onions for his chili. I got their lunch special of grilled chicken sliders. I asked for no lettuce and no mayo on the sandwiches. It did come with bacon and avocado and cheese on the two grilled chicken sliders -- that part was okay -- but had mayo in the buns and yes, lettuce. The kitchen certainly was NOT paying attention to the order!! For drinks, my husband had a glass of Oyster bay Sauvignon Blanc. It was reasonably priced and was a nice pour. I just got one Diet Coke. When our bill came, they'd charged us for two drinks each -- an additional $12.50! Which after we pointed it out, they corrected. So our order wasn't right and they over billed us. And usually that would/should have changed my Yelp rating. But the venue was so laid back and comfortable and the view so pretty that I was willing to overlook the glitches. I even told my husband I'd like to come back here again...

The staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay, and everything else exceeded our expectations. The only disappointment was our room assignment. We were placed next to a family with young children who were awake and active from 6:00 a.m. every morning. My sister was celebrating her 50th birthday, and we chose this staycation to relax, sleep in, and enjoy some quiet time, but unfortunately we didn't get a good night's sleep during the four nights we stayed. I would recommend that the resort consider placing guests seeking a peaceful, relaxing getaway in a quieter section, separate from families with small children whenever possible. That small change would make a huge difference. Other than that, the resort is amazing but this experience would make me think twice before returning.

I thought this was such a beautiful idea to begin with. I was given a glass of champagne as well. I was guided to a locker where I got my robe and slides to keep. You can set your combination to lock it so your belongings are safe. There is a beauty area with blow dryers, hair ties, Q-tips and other female products are available upon request. Showers are also present. The steam and sauna rooms were incredible. My favorite part was the heated jacuzzi pool with the overhead waterfall that comes rushing down into the jacuzzi. It was activated by a button that you can press on the outside. It was clothing optional in this area. The outdoor spa area is an oasis of beauty. It was raining a bit on the day I came, but they have silver hanging chairs with water beneath your feet, cabanas and waterfalls. It's blissfully calming. I've never experienced anything like it! The treatment waiting area had snacks, tea and water. My massage was tailored to me specifically. I added a foot and hand paraffin treatment. It was extremely relaxing. The hydrafacial was also fantastic. My skin felt so refreshed afterwards. I stayed using the amenities until they closed at 6pm that day. Had an absolutely phenomenal experience and will absolutely return!!!
