This Starbucks offers indoor and outdoor seating, staff is friendly, and drinks are great. A but more expensive that the other locations.

Never knew they opened another one (usually we visit the one on Palmetto). We walk in and it was packed; about 10 people in line and no where to sit. Outside had a couple of open tables on the sidewalk but it was hot. Of course I still ordered and we took our goodies to go. I had their Cappuccino (extra hot) and my hubby tried their Cold Brew White... great drinks. We also shared a baked chicken empanada.

When I walked up to the register, I wasn't greeted or spoken to. I began ordering and asked for nonfat milk. The woman, with an attitude, said "we don't have nonfat milk. Only two percent or alternative milks." I felt like I was being judged because it was clear I was not a regular customer. The coffee itself was really good. My latte was very smooth. I also ordered a spinach and cheese empanada, which was filled well and tasty. There are also not a lot of seats inside, but they have additional seating outside. The coffee and food is good. I would recommend going to their other locations though.

The croissant is certainly the real deal. You can taste the butter goodness in every bite. Flaky on the outside, buttery on the inside. This is no store bought croissant. The latte had a full robust coffee flavor that lasted throughout the drink without getting that bottom of the drink watery taste. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. I vaguely remember this from another past trip. I did not write about. She's not top of the Customer Service universe. When I came to the counter, I was standing there. She was checking her cell phone and I had to finally say good morning to get her to disengage from the digital universe. Her one staff member is shy and quiet, but very pleasant. The croissant is one of the few that I have seen that is not the Montmartre croissant, with the highest whirl and the soft interior with the more lightly flaky crust. This is the old school, highly flaky one. Very tasty, but small for three dollars. The coffee was excellent and as I asked for it. I still wouldn't come out of my way to go here. It's a very small step over Starbucks in the mall next-door. Star down for pour hospitality and somewhat dirty space. Rather than checking her cell phone she should be out there looking at all the crumbs on the tables and chairs that probably need to be cleaned up while her assistant is busy actually preparing food. She might be well served by putting somebody on the counter who is more suited to Customer Service. She warms up to a few people she likes, but you have to treat everybody with the same level of respect and grace. She does not. It's unusual, in Florida, to be exposed to someone who could give you frostbite, like a Minnesota January. Puts the mean into her demeanor. Cette attitude peut fonctionner en Paris, et à Boca. Elle ne fait rien pour m'amener dans votre établissement. Faire preuve de grâce et de gentillesse, c'est de l'or.

My mom loved her tea. The indoor space was very large. There were a bunch of games such scrabble, card games and others that customers could take off the shelf and play! The only negative thing I have to say was that the music was painstakingly loud that I could barely hear my mom and she was sitting right in front of me at the table. It was also super cold inside on a day in Florida where it was in the 30-40s range of temps outside. Overall, I would love to come back to try the coldbrew! Additionally, they had a cute winter seasonal menu that I would want to come back for.

Luckily, there are still places like this near…read morethe Ave in DB, but they do seem to be slowly disappearing as new, high-end restaurants continue to move-in and masonry modern buildings pop-up everywhere. There's nothing wrong with this, I'm just stating a fact. Delray Beach's booming development is a good problem to have, but there has to be a balance if you want to preserve the character and the town's touted "Village by the Sea" motto. The Coffee District resides in a Florida Vernacular small building across from the Cannery Row town homes where agents and home buyers descend if there's ever a home for sale, which is rare. It serves all your favorites coffee drinks, offers sandwiches and empanadas from local restaurants, but also has a small intimate bar with beer, wine, and mixed drinks, where you can leisurely sip on a beer, chat with others, and watch sporting events on the overhead TV (mostly soccer). You can comfortably sit inside on a super hot South Florida summer day. There's also a few outside sidewalk tables with umbrellas, benches, and a mini cushioned couch with a coffee table, where you can sit and feel un-rushed. This part of NE Second Ave is not as busy as others, but you will encounter many people walking their dogs and electric carts, fancy sedans, motorcycles and mopeds and muscle cars passing by (hopefully not the ones with the obnoxious, ear-drum popping, gurgling exhausts, who likes that?).
