I get the blueberry açaí smoothie frequently (taking the banana and strawberry out) ordered always with no sugar and with the ginger/collagen/multivitamin add in's ... it is very good, when it's made right which objectively is 25% of the time. There must be a manager at this location that could re-iterate the importance of following the request for no sugar?? As well as following the fruit customizations and adding the correct supplements? Sometimes I can taste the ginger, sometimes not at all...If I was diabetic failing to follow the no sugar request would pose a major problem. Disappointing that it's not consistent. On April 5th, I had been influenced, but I've now been cured thanks to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I've been seeing these açaí bowls all over social media and it was time I tried one. I placed an order through the app and sent my son to go pick up the order. They were no customers in the store and one car in the drive thru. When he arrived home, there were no chips in the bag to go along with the two flatbread sandwiches that I ordered. I called the store and spoke to Gianna and she said I could come back up(), or have my name written down in their guest log. I chose the latter. The sandwiches were just ok I wouldn't purchase them again and the lettuce was old. Now for the star of the show...the Acai bowl. I opened that bowl with great anticipation and was thoroughly and utterly disappointed. We eat with our eyes first and the old fruit that they piled on that bowl was disgusting. The bananas and strawberries were not fresh at all. I had extra granola and peanut butter added and increased the price to over $11. I picked the old fruit off and ate the bowl and it was absolutely delicious! If the fruit had been fresh, then that bowl would have been a ten! Fast forward to today, April 10th, I was in the area and stopped by to get my replacements. While in there, I asked for the manager and showed her a video of the bowl I received with the old fruit. She had a stoic expression that never changed. She wasn't friendly at all. In fact, one of the workers were more apologetic than Madison. I redeemed a free smoothie from the app and got a chance to see with my own eyes, the way food was prepared. PSA: If you were in the drive through at 3:52 PM on Wednesday, April 10th and you received two bowls, just know that Madison made those after touching the register and glass window and with the same gloves, dug into the containers that held the ingredients with that same glove and put it on your bowls. She used a scoop for somethings, but with those same gloves, patted down everything. So should you get a stomach bug, thank Madison for those unsanitary practices. Now, I am forever good on visiting this location, and should I ever desire to visit a different store, I'll be going inside to be sure they aren't contaminating my food. One good thing came out of this experience, I purchased all the ingredients to make my own Acai bowls, which is healthier and better, so kudos for pushing me towards making my own! read more

Their smoothies are good, but the drive thru line always takes a particularly long time. I wouldn't go here if you're in a rush. A manager yelled at me and told me I was undermining him by contacting multiple people about an issue. I responded respectfully but I thought it was very rude and unprofessional. I had a voucher for a free smoothie and tried the acai boost. It was 20 or 30 ounces, tasted wonderful, and super cold. There's a number of fruits in it so I'm sure it's healthy and actually was much lunch for the day. The staff were pleasant and service was quick taking them only a couple minutes to get the ingredients and blend while you watch them prepare it. So my experience here was great. Now I did get this free, but the menu price is a little over $5. At home, I make smoothies all the time and maybe spend about $1 for ingredients. Because of the price difference and because I'm poor, I dunno if I would come back. If money is no issue, then you'll definitely love the smoothies here. read more

I rarely go to get smoothies because I normally have all the ingredients home to make my own; however today, I had some time to kill and decided to get a nice breakfast smoothie. I didn't want a ton of a added sugar, so opted for the Detox Island Green which had spinach, mango, pineapple, banana, and ginger (naturally sweetened). I went through the drive through which was a breeze. My order was taken quickly and my smoothie was made fast. Another plus is on the receipt if you do the survey you get a $1 off your next smoothie. Lovely place, small parking lot and a drive thru that forces you to stay in it. Sadly if you needed to go bc of any reason you would be stuck. Other than that it's a great place. First time we had eaten there. The food was very good and our wait was not that long. The gentleman that took our order waited patiently as we decided, plus answered all questions we had. I love going to Tropical Smoothie in Kingsland, Ga. I know were closed for a few days. I couldn't wait to get a smoothie and super green salad. Called ahead to order a "totally turkey" which is an old favorite no longer on the menu. It's a hit or miss trying to order this because new people that work there won't know what it is. For example, the last time I ordered it at a different location they gave me a kids size ham and cheese wrap and the manager had to explain to the new person how to make it.
