I was in desperate need for some caffeine after getting off the ferry from Cumberland Island, and luckily this place was on the way to the freeway and very convenient. I ordered a energy beverage that contained Red Bull and I believe the flavor I got was some type of coconut strawberry drink, or something and boy I tell you that thing was so refreshing and delicious &did exactly what I needed it to do for my 4 1/2 hour drive back home. And luckily they weren't busy so there was no line in the drive-through. Cute little nice ambiance and plenty of parking if needed for an indoor visit. Paid a visit to Ellianos on our way north. A decent, local cup of coffee. I liked that Ellianos is entirely drive thru. It allowed me to get back on the road without spending precious time looking around inside. They have soy milk! A lot of places in Florida have completely gone away from soy. It is still my vegan milk of choice. I ordered a latte and it was sweet. I prefer a little more coffee flavor (which is why I don't usually do lattes). What could be better? You can't see the menu until you are up to the window. This is why I wound up with a latte. I had no idea what else was on the menu until I was on the clock. A bigger menu placed strategically in the line would help us out of towners decide earlier. Many people have talked about the slow service. While I somewhat agree, it is slow, you order your drink, you sit in your car while they make it, then you go. How could they speed up the process? Premade drinks? Then people would complain about watered down or stale coffee. I didn't feel the wait was longer than any other coffee shop I've been too. Good coffee just isn't fast food. I would not hesitate to pay Ellianos a visit next time I find myself in town. read more

I had Ellianos Coffee Company in my collections list for a while now and I finally got to try them a few days ago. Ellianos is a drive thru coffee shop in the Southeast. They have locations in Georgia, Alabama, and Jacksonville, Florida. No dine in services - just drive thru - ideal if you're on the road and just want to have a quick stopover for good cup of brew. I ordered an Iced Cafe Breve and I liked how my coffee was made. The coffee was smooth, stirred with creamy half and half. The crew that were running the drive thru were very friendly. The drive thru area was huge and the area was clean and well maintained. They have food options as well, such as bagels, sandwiches, muffins, and other baked goods. If there is one thing that I could ask them to improve on, it would be to make the ordering process more efficient. I say this just because of my 20 minute wait time. I did see one of the crew members go out to cars to take orders from a tablet when the line was long which expedited the process. Probably a visible menu before approaching the order window would help. 5 stars for coffee and friendly staff, - 1 star for service time. I'll still go back and try another cup of brew in the future. read more

Fantastic spot to grab a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich. Our iced coffees tasted delicious and didn't need any sugar/syrup, just a splash of cream. Yum! A hidden gem of a coffee shop on the way to St Mary's I was on my way to Saint Marys and was in need of some caffeine. I decided to try this place. It is a standalone building off the east side of State Road 40 a few miles to the east of I-95 at the Kingsland exit. The building looks new. It is a very sharp-looking red and brown building. It seems to cater mostly to drive-through business. You order on one side of the building and pick up on the other. The menu shows that they have 3 sizes of drinks from Tea to Caffe Latte. Most of their drinks range from about $4-$6 in price. The grounds were clean and it was easy to get in and out of the establishment. The staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful. This was my first time to this location so it took me a minute to figure out what I wanted. I finally decided on a coffee. The coffee came out and was excellent. I would definitely recommend this for anyone in the area wanting a good coffee at a reasonable price from a friendly staff and a nice establishment. read more

First time at Ellianos and it was decent. I wanted a smoothie because it's 100 degrees right now. I looked up the nutrition stuff before I ordered and discovered the smoothie with the least amount of sugars was the strawberry-banana one. Sounded good to me (P.S.-41 grams) I asked the girl at the window if they could make it with less sugar and after a convo with another girl they decided they could do less of the pre-made strawberry stuff, remove the ice cream (I asked if they could use a dairy substitute and they said they don't have anything) and use sugar free whip cream. In the end they were really nice to go out of their way and listen to what I wanted. I honestly don't know what they actually did and how much they decreased the sugars but I shared a medium with my friend and we only drank half. The taste was a bit bitter and while that's fine there was some other taste that tasted "fake"? I mean that's really the only way to describe it. Could've been a sugar substitute in the whip cream. If I go again I'll just try the coffee ;-) read more

I had the pleasure of visiting St Mary's on Saturday for the Girls Gone Picking event hosted by Cottle & Gunn. I always enjoy my trips to St Mary's...so nice to get away from the hustle & bustle of Jax! I stopped by the Wal-Mart in Kingsland on my way out and decided a cup of coffee was in order to fuel me up for the ride home. I know there is a Starbucks in this area, but when I looked at Google Maps, Ellianos popped up and it was literally around the corner from WalMart! I have heard good things about the Ellianos here in Jax...not to mention, apparently one will be opening near me in the near future at the old Town & Country shopping center (Arlington XWay and University Blvd North), along with new apartments and retail establishments. Ellianos is a drive thru only and I believe all locations are the same. At the Kingsland Ellianos, there is a drive up window on either side of the building. Nice. Still I did have a bit of a wait, but it was worth it! I ordered a large Cafe Breve. I should've ordered it extra hot, but I was so excited to try something new, I forgot lol. Once I placed my order, it was ready in a couple of minutes. The employee was very friendly. Now for the Taste Test! I'm a Starbucks affictionado, if only because there aren't many options in the vicinity of my house. But I have to tell ya, my Ellianos hot Breve was excellent! Actually better than Starbucks. What I love about a Cafe Breve is the contrast between the strong Espresso and the way the hot milk/cream balances out the espresso without making it weak. Ellianos did a perfect job! And the flavor of the coffee was superb. When you drink a lot of coffee like I do, I guess it's kind of like being a wine enthusiast. All coffee tastes different, depending on where the beans originated and how they were processed, etc. I can't wait to have my own Ellianos just down the road! I do hope it has some seating, even if only outside. A cup a joe that good needs to be savored, sitting with a friend, talking and catching up. read more

I love ellianos. Sometimes more than Starbucks. Favorites are the Sicilian smoothie and the turtle I think it's called. Only downside is that it's drive-thru only and It gets busy. I'd recommend doing a walk up window with just a table or two outside. People aren't as lazy or on-the-go as you'd think.. sometimes you just want to sit and sip a smoothie or a coffee. read more

Coffee shops are a dime a dozen but, ones which is drive thru only are rare. I have been here several times since they are right outside the west gate of Kings Bay and a stones throw from Walmart. Being that my love of Starbucks as my first choice is non existant in this town, I have had many cups of Ellianos coffees. Their dark roast a rich taste hot and fresh in the cup. The barista sets a sticky piece of cardboard with a pic of some sort over the spout so that the person receiving the fresh brewed cup would not get accidentally scolded. It gives me a short grin to see what pic I would come out with at each visit. The prices are comparable to other coffee shops which I find unusual since overhead is so low with no actual store and the offerings so few. The franchise has multiple stores in the Southeastern Georgia area with one near Atlanta, one in Montgomery, Al. and a few in the Jacksonville Fl region as well. A most enjoyable and satisfying place with breakfast food, a few sweets, smoothies and of course coffee. This Yelpers choice in coffee when there are none of my first choice. Beats the pants off of Dunkin and Krispy Creme shops. Having two drive up windows the line still gets long, yet certainly worth the wait for the gentle smile and a warming come back to see us soon. read more

Stopped here because of the reviews and decided to get the Carmella freezer, as a lot of reviewers raved about. Overall, not a strong coffee or espresso taste on the Carmella or a regular coffee. Very sweet and nice gals working there. They gave my pups dog treats which they loved so overall I'd come back. I didn't notice they were slow, seemed fairly average pace to me. Giving three stars because the coffee wasn't amazing it was just average. The place was clean so nothing really negative to say about the place. read more

First time coming to this coffee drive thru. There are two drive thrus, try to go to the other as it tends to be a little faster because there's not a wait like the visible window side. They are pretty fast, depending on your order. I had one drink so it was a lot faster than the cars ahead of us because they had multiple drink orders. There sizes are small, medium and large. I got the medium caramel freezer. It was equivalent to a tall at the Starbucks I think.. I wish I would've gotten the small so I could compare. The prices are average to many coffee shops I've gone too. All in all its a good coffee shop. I wouldn't say spectacular or amazing. As I was born and raised in Seattle and used to Vivace coffee shop lol. read more

Well sadly we have moved since the last time I've gone to this location but I miss it so much! Me and my husband always say we wish we had an Ellianos where we live now. It used to be our weekly (sometimes more) coffee place when we lived in Kingsland. They are so good! It's clean and smells good inside (you can't drink inside but I can view and smell it from my car) baristas are so friendly and accommodating. The coffee is wonderful. We always got iced venitian vanilla cremes and there's nothing like it anywhere else we go. If we ever end up back in the Kingsland GA area we will be making a stop at Ellianos! read more

My boyfriend just moved to St. Marys. We've ridden by this place several times and it's always packed! I decided one morning to give it a try. I ordered the Tuscany Toffee coffee and a sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant. The coffee is top notch and the croissant so light and fluffy and overall delicious. My wait was minimal and the girls very pleasant and friendly. It's definitely worth the wait if the line is long. I love 2 hrs away and wish we had an Ellianos in my town. I'm here several times a week and will definitely make this one of my regular visits when in St. Marys. read more

I was so excited to finally hear Kingsland was getting a coffee shop! And when it finally opened, I rushed to try it out and ordered the Tuscany Toffee and sausage egg croissant sandwich (huge)! Both were extremely delicious and worth the money and wait... definitely better than Starbucks; however, not much of a selection on food. It's been a few months since they've been opened and sad to say... the breakfast sandwiches has significantly shrunk in size but no change in price :( A bit disappointed in Ellianos but since they are the only coffee shop in town, I will continue my visits here; however, will avoid the breakfast menu. read more

Was recommended by a friend. The line was very long and when I finally was able to order the young lady gave me an attitude when I inquired about the sizes of the cups. I requested some Splenda and was given an attitude. When I asked for a stirrer she stated that they don't have any. She gave me my breakfast sandwich and no napkins. If your looking for a strong cuppa, this place is fantastic. I had their breve (coffee with steamed half and half) and it was nice, strong, and bold. I've also tried their green smoothie which has a good amount of spinach but still stays nice and fruity. Their specialty drinks are great too! Not icy but smooth and creamy, which is a big plus in my book. Their chai is powder-based but I'm glad they have it anyway. My only complaint is that it's a drive-thru so anything customized is at the window. What do you do if you have a regular cup of coffee and usually add in milk and sugar? What if the barista gets it wrong? Hopefully, if they continue to do well, they can add a walk-up in the future. Things to note: - The drive-thru circling the back has a menu against the wall and is the ONLY menu posted. Otherwise, the first drive-thru will give you a menu to make your selections from. - Even though they have 2 drive-throughs, at their peak times expect a long, long, LONG wait. - Everything is done by the barista helping you so if you order 4+ drinks, you have to be patient. - Their food menu has bagels, muffins, and cookies. - They have flavored syrups to add to drinks, ask the barista for flavors. - Their sizes are small to large and, depending on the drink, can either be hot or iced/blended.
