Keep in mind I worked in the service industry for eight years! Keep in mind the "times we are in" I don't know what's actually opened or closed. The window for drive-thru was physically open so I assumed they were ready-to-order. First off, no one acknowledged my presence at the ordering menu; as I pull forward to the window, known behold, a young lady had the audacity to close the window meanwhile making eye contact with me and attempted to walk away. I yelled "Excuse me!?" As I watched her look at her phone and realize it was 7:55 AM. When I asked her what time they opened, she simply stated "8am." as she once again closed the window in my face... All I wanted was ONE smoothie and it was ONLY FIVE MINUTES before opening. Obviously someone like myself would've given her a tip (like I always do), clearly she didn't realize I WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER. Whatever her name is... Girl, learn some manners. read more

Listen, it's an automatic 5 stars when you visit and they remember your name and even past orders. I mean how awesome is that?? They are always super nice and service is speedy inside. The parking lot design and traffic isn't their fault so shouldn't be counted against them. I'm always a fan of the Caribbean Jerk wrap and the Chia Banana with Peanut butter. Oh and paying via the app is a no-brainer. You get like $5 off after a few visits. read more

This is my regular route and I frequent this location. Love the food. Thai chicken wrap is my fave lunch wrap and the south west wrap is my fave breakfast wrap. Both are so savory and satisfying. Fave smoothie...peanut butter cup!! Its sinful but so yummy. My only irritation Is they never give us enough salad dressing. (Even when we ask for double Remember all the wraps can also be made as bowls! read more

Stopped into Tropical Smoothie for a healthy lunch and ordered one of their signature smoothies which I thought was very good. Its pretty much the Jax version of Smoothie King. They also have a grill in the back for lunch wraps. Really enjoyed it. read more

We frequently go to this location and haven't ever had an issue. Unfortunately, this morning, my husband waited at the drive thru for 15 minutes before deciding to walk inside. When he went in he ordered two smoothies, and it seemed that the manager was annoyed with his presence and him ordering! The Detox Island Green smoothie for me was fine but his tasted like water... I'm not sure what happened but it was a complete waste of money and patience. Very disappointing. read more

I like their Muscle Builder smoothie. The only negative it was tastier than the Fit 'n Burn at Smoothie King, but not as filling. Given that I had just worked out, I was looking for a high protein smoothie that would fill me as I really was not in the mood for a my solid food...I know that's blasphemy. A little more protein, could have made the difference. Anyway, the location was nice and staff friendly. But given that I looked a sweaty mess, I was looking forward to their drive-thru, however when I got to it, no one was minding the window and I though it was closed. So I drove around and went in looking probably like a wet mess. I asked about the drive-thru and they said that it was opened and apologized for the inconvenience. All in all, it was a good experience. Will just ask for more protein next time and hang out at the drive/thru window until someone pops their head out. ;-) read more

Just left Tropical smoothie. My drink is fabulous but the young lady with brown hair working the drive thru was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude when I told her I could not hear her, so she rudely yelled into the microphone obnoxiously. This has to be the worst Tropical Smoothie in town. It didn't used to be, so I don't know if management changed, if the staff doesn't care, but I will never go back. The last 3 smoothies I've gotten there (over a 6 month period b/c I continue to say I'm not going back) have been made poorly, watered down, & disgusting. My BF called management, but no changes have been made. On Friday morning, after waiting in the drive thru for at least 25 minutes (with only 2 cars ahead of me btw), I was served a watered down, ill flavored smoothie with a southwest wrap that had gummy chicken in it. I couldn't finish the smoothie and I had to pull the chicken out to eat the wrap. Whatever has changed, please fix it because this location is most convenient for many patrons. read more

When I don't have time to make my breakfast at home I have been stopping here to grab the Southwest Wrap for a quick healthy option. I love that I don't even have to get out of my car. The only downfall is that it takes a little longer than typical fast food places but that's b/c it's made fresh so I'll take it. read more

Not a very solid dining experience. To be fair, I only had lunch not a smoothie - and when I tried my friends Sunrise smoothie it was very good. I went with the Chicken Caesar Wrap. I specifically asked if the dressing was creamy or more of a vinaigrette - since I really dislike the vinaigrette variety. The cashier who was a younger guy maybe in his early 20's said it was creamy but disappointingly it wasn't. They were also out of Parmesan cheese and forgot to put tomatoes on it so I had to go back and have him add those...since otherwise it was chicken and lettuce. Speaking of chicken, it honestly seemed like it was canned chopped meat that some people make chicken salad with...needless to say I wasn't impressed. The fresh fruit side was a choice between an apple or a banana.. My friend spilled all over the table (and me) - when we asked for napkins (that are kept behind the the counter) they gave us literally like 4 at a time ...we had to go back three times even after I explained to him that it was a big spill. It seems like they need to increase the quality of their ingredients and re-train some of their employees ...Go if you want a smoothie but for lunch I suggest elsewhere. read more

I'm absolutely one of those people who prefer to eat my calories over drinking them. That said, those times when I do indulge into a smoothie (usually post workout or if I think I'm getting sick), I prefer to do so with Tropical Smoothie. This location is the only Tropical Smoothie I've ever visited with a drive thru, which is a nice touch. I tend to forget that Tropical Smoothie doesn't just do smoothies, they also do actual food. I've had their breakfast sandwiches and wraps and very much enjoyed them (they have a vegetarian wrap that has hummus, it's fantastic). The area where this store is located gets pretty crazy at lunch time but on the weekends and at "off" times, it's not bad at all. I've been in here a few times and the service has always been super friendly and faster than other locations I've experienced (i.e. their location on Southside near Baymeadows). read more

The employee's at this Tropical Smoothie work very hard. That being said, it seems that Tropical Smoothie's in general are not very quick to make your order. I have had the same experience at all Tropical Smoothie's and I hope that it is something that the corporation will fix. We have gone to this Tropical Smoothie multiple times and wait about 10-12 minutes on average to get our 2 smoothies. I understand smoothie's take more time to make, but I expect to wait maybe 5 minutes. However, I do believe that the employee's work very hard and do the best that they can. They are also always friendly. The smoothie's are delicious as well! read more

Something has to be done within the system as far as the breakfast wait time. The food is great and I love the southwest wrap but for the last few months something has slowed the drive threw so bad the wait time has made me only come here once a week if that. When I told management they say that people ahead ordered too much or they are short staffed, however they is almost every morning. Great food but someone needs to fix the breakfast system. I see people drive away because of the wait and profits are suffering. read more

The facility was so clean and smelt so good! The aroma of the fresh fruit was my favorite. I ordered a traditional strawberry and banana smoothie which is called "Angel Food". I knew it was meant for me because I am an angel lol. My husband had the PB Swizzle Açaí bowl and it was soooo good! I'm normally skeptical about my Açaí but smoothie king did their big one the texture and everything was right. Needless to say we will definitely be back!

From what I witnessed, she was simply trying to get her order corrected and was asking for a reasonable substitution. Instead of the situation being handled calmly and professionally, things escalated to the point where the manager involved the police. My friend was not threatening anyone, causing a disturbance, or acting aggressively. She was trying to explain her concerns and wanted to make a complaint about how she was being treated. I have never understood why a customer asking questions or wanting to speak up about their experience should result in the police being called. There were plenty of opportunities to simply communicate with her and resolve the issue. She even went to another Smoothie King afterward and was able to order what she wanted without any problems. As a friend, it was upsetting to see her treated that way over something that could have been handled with basic customer service and communication. Very disappointing experience. Management should seriously reconsider how situations like this are handled.

The concept is really nice, its giving a diner feel and i felt very excited when i walked in just to find this place extremely under staffed. There was one girl taking drive thru orders and in store orders, so we waited patiently. But she was clearly in distress as she called for another coworker to come help her, the other girl came but seemed upset to have to do her job. The place was also not the cleanest and not stocked in the dinning area, but with being under staffed, i can understand. Overall, i would not go back. I can come back from mediocre food, and try again, but i can not come back from bad service. Management has to staff this restaurant properly. It has so much potential, even a "hey, welcome" makes a difference. I see the vision, it just needs a manager that cares.
