I cannot recommend this place enough! Genuinely some of the best food I've ever gotten, the turkey feta meatballs are my absolute favorite thing ever now thanks to this place! Thank you guys for such great food! read more

Got takeout for lunch here. Chicken Cesar wrap! I was in and out quickly and the workers were polite. The wrap was pretty good and I think the lemon is a nice added flavor in this wrap. The chicken was pretty good as well. The thing that blew me away was the pricing though. Holy moly! I know ordering thru the various apps increases the price but even in store they were a little costly. That's why I couldn't give the 5th star. I can't fathom that pricing on a regular basis for just a wrap and not even some chips to go alongside lol. read more

Old, nasty, missing items. Will not be back for a long time. Maybe the problem is the cook. Establishments like this should never not have items on the menu available. Back patio was dirty. read more

My entire order was wrong :( I ordered a BYO bowl, with Sriracha honey on the side, but my bowl ended up being slathered in ranch and I'm allergic to ranch. I called and they told me to come back and they could remake it but it was a 20 minute drive and I had to be home to take care of my dogs. My husband ordered a burrito and a white tortilla and they gave him spinach which it ended up being fine, but in the grand scheme of things, our entire order was wrong. We did order the kale brussels sprouts Caesar salad, but it was room temperature and it was pretty gross and I normally really like all of those ingredients put together so I'm not sure if they were having an off night with it. I emailed in the only option I was given was a gift card but now they have not responded to me. I think if you're spending $50 on food, it should be right, especially if someone is allergic to an ingredient. There was no one in the restaurant other than one other person waiting on an order. I would've been a little bit more understanding had they been absolutely swamped, but they were not. I tried to call back again today to speak with a manager about a refund, but he was not there either time I called. if the manager is the only one that can do a refund, they should be a little bit more accessible, or have the ability to allow staff to do things like that. read more

Came here for lunch while in the area. I love that they have a random of healthy items to choose from. The food was good and they have a healthy option to fit all dietary preferences. The service was friendly and helpful too. read more

Tried Vale Food Co for an açaí bowl and left feeling a bit underwhelmed. I got the regular size with strawberry, kiwi, and peanut butter, but for $13.99, the topping portions were disappointing. I got about a third of a kiwi, maybe one whole strawberry (if we're being generous), and a massive glob of peanut butter. I usually expect the peanut butter to be drizzled on top, but this was just a big dollop, making it hard to enjoy with the açaí. Service was also super slow--I came in on a Saturday afternoon when there was no line, yet it still took about 10 minutes before someone helped me at the register after greeting me. I might come back to try their savory bowls, but even those seemed pricey (there's literally a $33 steak bowl--at a fast casual spot?!). Not sure it's worth the cost, but I'd be open to giving it another shot. read more

As someone who dines out often and supports local businesses, I rarely write reviews this harsh, but my experience at Vale was shockingly poor and deserves to be addressed. I placed an online order at 9:00 PM with a promised pickup time of 9:30 PM. When I arrived, not only was my order not ready, but it hadn't even been started. I stood waiting about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me and when they finally did, it was clear the staff had no idea how to handle an online order. The employee began making my açai bowl, only to abandon it midway when another customer walked in. He literally stopped preparing my food to make hers first. Another staff member had to step in and question why he left my order unfinished. His reasoning? "Because somebody walked in." That lack of logic and priority is unacceptable, especially when my order had already been placed and paid for. When he returned to making my bowl, he asked me what went in it, as if I'd ordered something custom. This was a standard menu item (Super Blue Antioxidant Detox Bowl) I even had to pull up the menu on my phone to tell him what should be included and despite that, the bowl I received was still incorrect and missing items. For an establishment that charges premium prices for what are already small portions, I expected at the very least competence, urgency and basic customer service. Instead, I left frustrated with a wrong order and zero confidence in their operations. It's unfortunate, because I came in excited to try Vale for the first time, but this was hands-down one of the worst customer service experiences I've had anywhere. If Vale wants to live up to the high ratings it boasts, accountability and training are desperately needed. read more

Fresh, Flavorful, and Well-Packed I've ordered from Vale Food Co a few times, and each experience has been consistently great. Most recently, I had the Cilantro Balsamic Bowl with Mediterranean chicken, feta cheese, and broccoli--a perfect balance of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. I also tried the roasted sweet potatoes, vegetable quinoa, and lemon garlic chicken breast, and everything was seasoned well and cooked just right. It all came neatly packed, with great attention to detail and presentation, even for takeout. Definitely a solid value for the quality and portion size. If you're looking for something healthy, filling, and delicious, I highly recommend giving them a try! read more

I drove all the way from the west side to eat i get there and the door is locked at 8pm. I read 10pm on the door and the site says 11. The 2 employees in there just looked at me as i knocked on the door. No we closed to do this and that or nothing. Just lookes like they were lost. Phone is disconnected. Def a waste of time and money. Wont be back. If the employees dont hv the notion to reply to a knock .. which was heard and i was stared at.. there is no point in giving them my business. It's called being a decent human being. Business has totally gone downhill. They will be the next to close. read more

Went today for the 2nd time to get an Açaí bowl. I don't plan to return. The AC in the store was off so the place had a funky pungent odor. When I entered the establishment the staff looked at my mobile order, said nothing and the proceeded to make a few others food. I waited, assumed she saw it and would work on it. 15 minutes goes by and she finally made the bowl. The Açaí is not freshly blended, it's scooped from a container. Both the strawberries and blueberries were not washed or trimmed and were pulled straight from their containers they came in (sat atop the counter) and thrown in. read more

My entire order was wrong and it cost $24 for to e smallest salad ever. The phone number is disconnected so I can't even talk with anyone. They left out h to e $5 cookie and dressing. Gave me kale when I ordered spinach and arugula. Left out the sweet potato noodles. They should have saved time and money bunt leaving off the papers asking me to order directly with them and not DoorDash because I won't be ordering anything from them again. read more

Service is awful. My son and I were super uncomfortable ordering. I get that it was an hour before closing, but if you're that miserable at work then something needs to change because honestly no one looked less than miserable. I feel like it's a management issue, because morale starts with leadership and this just isn't it. I don't think we'll be coming back. I like to support businesses in downtown Jacksonville, but there are plenty of other healthy options that aren't a negative experience. As far as the food goes, the rice and vegetables were undercooked and the smoothies lack flavor. Wondering if they actually put anything besides coconut milk and protein powder in it at all. Too expensive to be this disappointed all around. read more

This was my first visit here and the food was yummy! I appreciate the cute decor and large digital menus up top. The food was beyond fresh and very tasty. I do wish customer service was a bit better since I walked in and said I'd never been and was given no guidance on how to order. I had to ask a lot of questions to figure out what was going on. We both got smoothie bowls which were super tasty, but a bit pricey. My favorite part was the homemade granola. I'll definitely come back to try out their hot food since it looks delicious! read more

Amazing food good service healthy food sooooooooooo good definitelya good find for a first time stopping in and dining here

I was traveling for work, so I grabbed food to go in hopes of having something a little healthier. First the goods, the wait was short and the meal was packaged well. I liked the more sustainable packaging for takeout that didn't include straight plastic. However, I specifically asked for silverware since I was at a hotel and they included it on my receipt but didn't include it in the bag. I ordered 2 dinner bowls and an açaí bowl and all three were not made as specified. I asked for sauce on the side for easy reheating and they poured it on top. Not the end of the world, but still annoying. The kale Caesar was amazing but nothing else was really notable. My açaí bowl was great, but I received a smaller size than I paid for and they forgot the granola. Overall, just not a great experience. The food was average, but they need to be a little more attentive. Love the idea behind the chain, just something missing in the execution. read more

For a place touting healthy eating I was disappointed that there was only one vegetarian "protein" option, and it was a premade frozen chicken fingers situation. The veggie quinoa base option was quite salty, and portion to price ratio on the steep side. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Silverware compostable and the bowl was paper but sauce cups and lids were plastic. Hits and misses across the board. With so many places to choose from to eat this one won't make it to a regular slot for me. read more

Staff is very kind and helpful. Ate here several times, the store provides a large variety of healthy options!

The wait times at Vale Food Co are consistently ridiculous. Every time I come here, the wait is never less than 30 minutes for a pick up order Today I placed a pickup order through Uber Eats and still ended up sitting inside the restaurant for 40 minutes waiting. When I walked in, I was told they were "waiting on broccoli" and it would be about 6 minutes. I watched the broccoli come out, and my order still wasn't ready long after that. At that point, after waiting far longer than I should have, I asked what was going on -- yes, I was annoyed, because the situation was frustrating and poorly communicated. One employee responded with "who you talkin to?", which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional regardless of my tone. Another employee stepped in and handled it properly, but the first employee continued to stare me down. Being busy is understandable. Chronic long waits, inaccurate time estimates, and disrespectful customer service are not. If pickup orders are going to take this long, customers deserve honesty and professionalism. read more

Not only was my order missing my side of Thai noodles but they gave me the wrong base. They gave me spinach and arugula instead of the kale and Brussels. The kale was yellow and the spinach was going bad. Not only that but they barely put any lettuce in the bowl. It's a small bowl, but I expect it to be filled My shredded carrots smelled gross and tasted rancid like they went bad a day ago. They were out of balsamic tomatoes OK, fine so they gave me corn instead. Again, the corn smelled bad and tasted like it went bad a day ago. The only good thing was my avocado Cesar dressing and my coconut chicken read more

I love vale but man yall need to really find a better concept with making food wfornthose who come in and prepare food for the customers online. The service here is TERRIBLE. I was getting cut off when I was trying to order, she told me to hold on and made several to go orders. Which was fine until she started making my bowl but didn't tell me she had started mine and then got frustrated with me when I explained she wasn't making my bowl how I wanted it! There were no other customers in there for the first 15 minutes I was there so I was confused why she was only prioritizing mobile orders. When leaving I asked another employee for her name since there was no supervisor or manager available, it was Veah, and left. She then followed me to my car to argue with me and another customer, who had the same experience, about asking for her name! I already contacted your corporate office but this was unacceptable. The food was good though. read more
