The Bahama Mama smoothie that we had yesterday were so Yummy and DELICIOUS that we will be getting some again soon. We also had the chicken enchiladas and both of those were really delicious also. The service received from Brandon and his mom was amazing and they went above and beyond to provide us with excellent customer service. Tried this new location a couple of months ago but they were not quite open yet. Parked and was about to walk up to the door and they came out to tell me they were not open yet. But would be soon. I really liked they did this, vs. me trying to walk in and everything being locked up. I vowed to come back when they were "officially" open. I'm so glad I did! Service was fast and super friendly. Two BIG factors for me. 1) My Chipotle Chicken club flatbread came out hot with lots of chicken! 2) My Chia Banana Boost was cream and delicious. It was not all watered down with crushed ice. I always pass by Tropical Smoothie Cafe as it is near Amazon Fresh and Shake Shack. Also it's the only smoothie place near by that opens early at 8am and I needed a smoothie to break my 36 hour fast. There is plenty of parking in the lot and I've hardly ever seen it too crowded. The inside is decorated nicely with bright colored seats and all is modern. It's a really nice atmosphere to dine in to have breakfast or lunch. I ordered the "Detox Island Green" smoothie that comes with spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana & fresh ginger (naturally sweetened). They also have additional supplements and add-ins, however today I ordered as is. The smoothie was delicious and exactly what I needed. Perfect frozen consistency and taste. Also the cup size is pretty huge for a smoothie. Pretty sure I'll be a frequent patron here. read more

I received a couple recommendations about giving this place a try. I had the jerk chicken wrap with a banana. I don't eat beans or cheese, so I asked them to not put those in my wrap. The wrap was actually delicious, lots of flavor and had a little bit of a kick to it. My fiancé is a big fan of their smoothies and he loved the Baja chicken wrap with chips. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe recently opened up, and I finally got around to coming to this location. I used to go to the one at UIC that's inside of the recreation center, so I'm familiar with their drinks and eats. My partner and I decided to juice cleanse a little after all of the food we ate over the weekend. My partner ordered their Bahama Mama, and I did their Lean Machine smoothie. We loved our drinks, the fruits tasted fresh, and we ordered it off of Grubhub since we're both exhausted after a 13 hour drive home. Normally we'd walk right over, it's located in a shopping center where Amazon Fresh, Panera, Longhorn and Shake Shack are. My only complaint is that they still use styrofoam cups, and my driver accidentally spilled one of my smoothies. Thankfully she went back up the street, and the staff remade my drink. I think that they should look into reusable cups where you can bring back in the future. Honestly, I'd be willing to pay extra for a better quality cup, and I'm sure other customers might appreciate having an option to choose a cup. Either way, it's not going to stop me from coming here. I'd recommend this location to anyone looking for healthy alternatives, fresh smoothies, and a bite to eat. read more

On Wednesday December 21,2022 at or around 9pm . I went to Tropical Smoothie and place an order for a pomegranate smoothie no bananas substitute with strawberries. The individual processed to ring me up . I tapped my card and was asked if I wanted a receipt. I then stated no thank you. Please keep in mind that I come to this establishment on a regular basis. I'm standing waiting on my smoothie . An employee asked what was I waiting for. I responded my smoothie . Then she responded I don't see an order for you . I then responded I just paid for it . Then she stated again let me see your receipt. I told her that I didn't need it . Then the employee ask another employee did I pay for it .So the employee that took my order said yes I did pay for it . Then employee number says to her I don't see if and then she turned to me and asked me could I prove it . At this point I'm taken aback. Three other ethnic minorities were not asked to provide a receipt. At this point I'm being treated as if I am trying to get a free 8.48 smoothie . The audacity and the Gaul to ask me for a receipt and or to see my bank account to prove that I paid for a smoothie . That was discrimination at its finest . I will not patronize this company any more . I will take my BLACK dollars some place where I am look at as just a customer and not the color of my beautiful black skin. We need to be careful of whom we patronize. Until we are looked at as customers and not by the color of skin . I will not be patronizing other ethic groups establishments. read more

Came in for the grand opening and it was such a good time. The owners were there and were very nice and welcoming. The service was quick and the cafe was sooo cute! Nice spot to come hang out and grab a quick snack. The smoothies were really good. Very clean and healthy and they're HUGE! I got full off of half of it but it was so good that I had to finish. I wouldn't mind paying $8.00 for a smoothie if it was delicious. Went there today while shopping with my Husband, I won't be back. When you walk into the business no one acknowledged your present. Not a "Hello" "How are you doing" all they want to know if you have a pick up or not. Entirely too much ice not enough fruit.
