Disappointed - Where's the Meat & Cheese? We were excited to try Melt'd, but unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to the name. We ordered all three pressed sandwiches on the menu, and each one was lacking. Where's the cheese? Where's the meat? The portions were disappointing--mostly bread with barely any toppings. While the pricing seemed reasonable at first, after seeing how little was inside the sandwiches, it made sense. The staff was working hard, but there was no warmth--no greeting, no smile, nothing that made us feel welcome. We wanted to like this place, but without improving the portion sizes and service, we won't be back. Little spot off the square. He gets behind from time to time so have patience because it's well worth the wait. The Grilled cheese action is great and the meats are quality. Loved our Cuban sandwiches. This restaurant is a great location near the park, too. A perfect combination!

We have been here several times. The sandwiches are very good and large. They are made to order, so if they are very busy you may have to wait for your order. So don't go if you are in a hurry. My wife and I usually order a couple of sandwiches or share one with chips and drinks. We take them across the street to the park and when we finish eating them, we return for ice cream next door. The Cubans from here are good. They use Boars Head and don't offer to put anything weird on it like tomatoes lettuce. The prices are very fair, you can get a 10" Cuban for just under $9, enough for two people. I haven't tried anything else yet. They recently expanded their menu and set up a separate cafe- they used to serve everything from behind the icecream counter. The cafe is super cute, really like the new aesthetic they're going for. The service is always friendly. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is there's always a bit of a wait, even when they're not busy. read more

While we were in town looking around we stopped it for a sandwich. The place was super clean, tables to eat outside or indoor in the ice cream shop side or testy. Melt'd popped up and after looking at the menu and seeing pictures of their food, I decided to stop. It's not too far from US19, and I wanted something quick and easy. So glad I stopped in, I got the Cuban sandwich and was surprised it came with a side ( I got potato salad). The cuban was delicious, the bread was pressed to perfection with the perfect balance of melt'd (see what I did there?) cheese, it was slathered with Mayo and mustard, and piled high with meat. first of all, great location being in an area where there's lots of foot traffic. it's right by a VERY nice park/water so we got our lunch and ate it on the bench at the park. this sandwich shop is connected to an ice cream shop that i'm pretty sure is owned by the same person so we obviously went to both places. My hubby got the cuban which was recommended by one of the employees. Hubby said "this was made with love" hahaha 10/10 i got the "when pigs fly" sandwich which was so good as well. 10/10 again. they've got a wide drink and chip selection but the sandwich comes with either chips or potato salad so do what you will with that. we didn't try the potato salad but i imagine it's great too. our food was made quickly and it was fresh so we definitely recommend trying this place out. then get ice cream after of course. read more

The cubans were perfectly pressed and the bread was phenomenal. We asked on the way out where he gets it or if he makes it and it comes from Tampa, made fresh. There was a lot of meat on the sandwich which was nice as most cubans are not loaded like this one was. They came with chips or potato salad so we had one of each. There is one table to sit at inside and several tables outside with umbrellas. It was a scorching hot day so when he offered us the tables in the ice cream shop we took him up on it.
