Beware they cross contaminated my first one I had them remake it Because apparently when they have multiple orders for flat breads they cook them all at the same time, That is a major health and safely PROBLEM!!! Sadly, we won't be back. We have always enjoyed TS but this experience just changed it for us, at least this store. The açaí bowl was not bad, but very little in the bowl for almost $10. We paid extra for peanut butter which was practically non-existent- and what tiny bit was there, stuck to the lid. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. As we sat waiting for our food, we had the chance to really look around. Not only was the floor absolutely filthy, but every table, the windows, the ceiling, the counters and everything else we could see. My husband visited the bathroom- One had no paper towels and the other was so dirty he left. The only really good spot was the lady that waited on us and she was very nice and friendly. Tropical smoothie is my favorite place to stop I am a realtor and I travel all over the state of FL. I like to stop because it's a healthy option, their food is good and love their smoothies. The one thing I have always noticed is no one looks happy to work there, it's like a ongoing joke with my family. Well today changed my opinion on all Tropical Smoothies. This store had good music and I was welcomed into the store. Everyone was smiling. The employees were enjoying doing their job. My food came out quick. No one was standing around. I've been coming to the Bartow tropical smoothie for months now. I've never had a problem getting the extra smoothie that is left over after making a smoothie. Today I was told that the staff is not allowed to do that I'm very disappointed as I feel like I paid for everything that is serviced and to watch the staff throw the extra down the drain when the company is charging me a dollar for whey protein and a dollar for coconut and the staff wants to throw it down the drain instead of giving me the rest. If that's the case the tropical smoothie should change its measuring system so that nothing is left. It's not costing tropical smoothie anything extra. read more

The online pick-up and curbside is a great option for people who are either on the go or do not want to go in to order their food. Unfortunately, the curbside pick-up has been a hit or a miss due to the phone lines being busy. Their Buffalo chicken wrap is a great healthier option and is honestly, bomb. I could have another. It's PLENTY of food, just the wrap and the ranch helps to cancel out the Buffalo sauce a bit. The staff was friendly when I had to walk in due to the curbside pick up "fail", but it was definitely unfortunate since I was not prepared at all to go inside. The parking lot at this location is very awkward when trying to get back out to the main road- but it works. Just be careful when backing out and when oncoming traffic is trying to pull in when you're trying to pull out. Overall, good! read more

The Tropical Smoothie franchise is a consistent go to option when traveling as there are healthy and consistent options available, at reasonable cost and with many options. What isn't consistent is the music, cleanliness and overall culture (how the employees interact with customers and each other). Case in point is this location: I wasn't sure if I was in a strip club or a healthy eats establishment due ti the thug ass rap blasting through the speakers. I don't get me wrong, I love all music and people l, but this just dose not for the brand as it is not the case n any other location that I have visited. Next is the cleanliness, the bathrooms are shared and not clean and neither is the space. It's. It dirty per say but not clean either, just good enough. If ownership wishes to receive their just reward for operating a business which offers great options, perhaps looking at the customer experience is a place to start and then start counting the money as people flock in to the space rather than the employees making it whatever they want..... who knows, perhaps no one cares about the $? I work in Bartow, so I have been going to TSC for 2 years, and I enjoy this place. Never to crowded, the new ordering online systems works, and I can get in and out. Staff looks clean which is a plus always. They just hired a few young kids who you have to coach. Polk County doens't have that much in ref to "legit" smoothie spots so enjoy. read more

Whenever I'm in the area on business I try to stop in for a smoothie. I've had great experiences, but sometimes the staff can be a little rude (they have a demeanor that suggests they don't want to be there). The buffalo chicken wrap and the king Caesar wrap (when I've ordered them) have been very fresh and filling. Overall, fairly priced and worth a visit! read more

Very upsetting when local rules 'override' franchise guidelines. My family and I stopped by while driving thru town. Wanted to order 5 smoothies and 5 sandwiches. We're we're told "we are closing in 10 minutes and we already shut the oven off - we can only make smoothies". And then had the nerve to rush us out the door - at least three employees gave us dirty looks!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Will I ever step foot in that place again. The employees were super rude. I placed an order over the phone. When I came to pick it up, I walked up to the register and the sales associate didn't acknowledge me . When I said hello I place an order for Brandy. She looked for the order and while rolling her eyes at me and says, " I don't have an order for Brandy...Just Randy." That order was completely wrong, but I wasn't annoyed with that it was the cashier who was. I couldn't figure out why, so asked her did I do something to make you mad. She accused me having an attitude. I will admit..I flipped and I cursed...she then preceded to scream at me and act if she was going to actually attack me and wanted to fight. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me he wasn't there, and was happy that he wasn't. What a shame I have been to a lot of Tropical Smoothies and just love it. Went to this store last night, cashier was very rude and told us she had turned off oven 5 minutes ago and it was only 7:38pm and they close on door at 8pm. Several other people were in line also I ask if she was going to serve them since they are here too, she rudely said I guess and took my order, telling me there was no bananas for smoothies but counter had 5 banana's laying there? I received my food to go and when I arrived home the ultimate had no bacon and was thrown together with two pieces of meat. My daughter peanut butter flat bread had honey poured all over top and only half of bread had peanut butter and bananas? I daughter buffalo chicken wrap was not that at all and we said no tomatoes and they were on there! Our smoothies all 4 had to be thrown away because we were not sure what they were but we eat at the one in Lakeland 2 times a week and know what they should taste like and wasn't anything like this!
