Went there today with 3 of my friends for breakfast, I've been to first watch in tampa and loved it, but I was very disappointed with this location. It was very noisy and could barely hear each other talk at our table. When we ordered, I ordered the chilled chorizo omelette, I asked for a extra egg and no greens potatoes or fruit, the waitress didn't have a friendly attitude, she abruptly told me that I would still have to pay full price and extra for the egg, which I don't really care. She was very abrupt and don't seem to be enjoying her work. When we went to the Tampa location the staff were super friendly. My meal was ok, the omelet was not hot and it was passable. When I went to pay, the gentleman at the counter asked how was it? I asaid meh, not great and he seemed to not really care. I thought at least , oh I'm sorry to hear that or something would have been an acceptable answer. I told that it's very loud in here and the other server agreed. My fiends meals were ok and overal they weren't happy with the noise level .i don't think I'd go back to this location, staff needs to be more friendly and noise reduction panels would probably help. read more

I've been to other locations and this has been my least favorite. The waitress was friendly and quick. The only thing I enjoyed during this visit was the coffee. Ordered the French toast and the bread must've soaked all night in egg and then they only seared the outside because the inside was overly raw egg texture. Also ordered a side of bacon and had one raw slice and all of the slices were cold. Likely cooked hours before and set out. All chewy and disappointing. First Watch IS one of the best breakfast places in town! I'm not sure why, but I had gotten it in my head that First Watch was way overpriced for what they serve, because the restaurant feels so fancy and boujee, but even though the second part of that statement still stands, I was completely wrong about affordability! The feeling of a First Watch is kind of barn/ farmer chic. It's almost industrial mixed with ranch house style, and it works very well. All the food is served on these beautifully painted ceramic plates, and they have different options from your average breakfast joint. Their food is quite good! I especially enjoy the breakfast burrito. They also have homemade juices that are super popular. I tried a fun coffee/ cinnamon drink there last visit and it topped off the whole meal. And I realized most of the dishes are only $12-13! Why in the world did I think it was so expensive? Maybe I just imagined it or they adjust their prices, but I kind of doubt the latter. First Watch is definitely a bustling place though! If you want to go, especially on the weekend I'd recommend going on their website to join the live waitlist. Once you dine at First Watch, you can never dine at IHOP or another less quality breakfast place ever again and I mean that whole heartedly. We tried with our hearts in the wrong place trying to score free pancakes for my husbands breakfast and it just turned into one disappointment one after another. I love First Watch!! My favorite breakfast/brunch spot. So fresh!!! This particular location is in a prime spot right off of South Florida. Easy to get to. Enough parking. Clean and neat. Was able to place my pick up order with ease (even though I made some modifications). My food was ready when I arrived and was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. Had a lovely brunch at First Watch on Sunday. Received my free entree coupon for my birthday and now you can use it digitally from your phone instead of printing it out like in the beginning of their program. We arrived soon after opening but there were already quite a few people there. It's very popular with all ages. It's bright and clean inside with a nice patio outside. (We saw people sitting outside with their dogs eating.) If you are stuck waiting in line for a table, they have complimentary coffee and water by the front door. Luckily they still offered their "Harvest the Season" menu so we ordered from that. We split an order of Million Dollar Bacon. Always crisp, always scrumptious. My husband had the Braised Short Rib Omelette. Decadent and delicious. Extremely generous with the amount of short rib stuffed inside. I had the Truffled Mushroom Hash (comes with 2 eggs, I had over medium). It was savory and lovely. Excellent flavors and wonderful mushrooms. The only thing missing from the experience was the Bloody Mary & Mimosa, but only the First Watch back in Riverside Jacksonville Florida serves alcohol, no others, so we stuck with coffee, delicious but a wee bit on the almost too hot side. I'm glad I decided to give this place a second try. It was less busy than my last visit. The hostess welcomed me the minute I walked in, then offered to get my drink right away. After perusing the menu carefully, I decided on the healthy omelette. I asked that they don't put tomatoes in it. I got what I wanted because what I got was tomatoes on top of it. There is an outside area to sit off the restaurant so be sure to ask if that is your thing. Parking outside is easy peasy in the private lot out front and to the side. I had the traditional. The eggs are so fresh light and fluffy and the homemade bread slathered with butter was amazing. The potatoes were ok. but not totally seasoned. Added the orange juice which was tasty and fresh. Oh the jam... ooh so good. The works omelet was disappointing in terms of its size and the ingredients. When you hear 'the works" you think stuffed full of everything. This was neither stuffed nor full of a lot of ingredients. I guess it is their take. It didn't look like the picture on the menu. It had a lot of tomatoes poured to the side but that was about it. The salmon frittata is delicious and unique. The frittata Rustica is also a favorite. My husband likes the hash options. I tried the elevated egg sandwich this time and it was also good but I wish that my bun had been toasted to give the sandwich more texture. First Watch is my go-to place for brunch. Parking is scarce, especially on Saturdays but the food and atmosphere is worth the trouble. Pancakes and waffles are delicious but I usually order an omelet because I love the toast with preserves and lemon dressed greens that come with it. That said, I've ordered delivery/takeout twice from here and both times something was missing. The first time it was the million dollar bacon. I complained and the manager gave me a refund, but what I really wanted was the bacon. Second time I was missing the toast and preserves and the greens were dry - absolutely no dressing. Huge disappointment! I realize takeout food is never the same as eating in the restaurant, but I do expect to get everything I paid for. I wasn't visiting for a typical review just a family outing. First we wait outside patiently for our table. My wife gets a text that says it is ready and we mask up and walk in. It took maybe a minute. We were sitting by the door. We get in and when my wife gives our name they look like a deer in headlights. They had already given away our table to someone else in the line. They scramble and give us another table. We had to wait for it to be cleaned. We sit at the table patiently for twenty minutes with no service. Finally we go back to the hostess and are informed they were sorry but our server had been cut and they were trying to get someone to cover our table. We never even got a glass of water. Incredibly disappointed in today's experience at First Watch. I've been to this restaurant and many other First Watch locations before, and today ranked the lowest experience by far. Upon entering, we were "greeted" by a hostess that had no interest in doing what is quite literally her only job. She asked how many in the party, and pointed to a table across the room saying, "You can sit over there". She then came over 5 minutes later to hand us our menus. We proceeded to sit at the table for 10 more minutes without a single person acknowledging our presence. Granted, the restaurant was busy for a Thursday morning, but at the very least the hostess or a server could have let us know they would be right with us. After 20 minutes had passed since entering the restaurant, a server finally popped over to say she'd be there in a second. We waited patiently, but after a few minutes we decided that sitting in a restaurant for almost 30 minutes without even having placed an order for drinks was ridiculous. We got up and left, most likely never coming back to this location. read more
