First time customer. Ordered via their app and did an in-store pickup. The app was very usable and I easily made my selections and breezed through the checkout. Order was ready when I arrived except for a shake that they wanted to make when I got there. Pretty excited when they gave me the shake with a real shake straw. I should have checked the order as the sauces were omitted but they were on the receipt. The rest of the order was accurate. The food was average. First impression is that there are better choices in our area. read more

It's so nice to see new businesses opening in lake wales. We decided to eat inside but the drive through was busy. There is a nice outside covered patio. The staff were really nice. The place was clean. There were busy inside as well and it was nice to see that staff stayed on top of the table to keep the place clean. The food. What can I say it was ok. I'm not one to leave bad reviews. I hate saying bad things about businesses, especially new/small ones... But do NOT come here.. Here are all the issues I had with Slim Chickens. 1. The food is extremely mediocre. It was dry, not seasoned, and overcooked. You might as well go to zaxbys (for a better price and food) 2. The chicken tenders are EXTREMELY tiny... no joke 3. The customer service was HORRIBLE, to say the least. I had a pick up order, and I was standing in line for 5 minutes, and all of the workers just stared at me. Or they were laughing amongst themselves. Mind you... They already helped 2 customers in front of me... 4. There was a strand of hair in my food 5. The location on the website and the app is wrong. It brings you to the middle of NOWHERE 5 minutes down the road... Side note: It's actually really nice looking on the outside and inside. read more

My husband and I tried this relatively new location for lunch yesterday. We were greeting with smiling faces who offered recommendations. We both ordered chicken tenders and fries and it came with Texas Toast. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. The inside was nice and clean. They have a drive thru. We tried the honey BBQ sauce and the honey mustard for dipping but they have like a dozen or more choices to pick from. We recommend. read more

We picked Slim Chickens because we like to try new places, especially new chicken places, so we came here and unfortunately won't be back. Why I didn't see it coming when it took exactly 3 minutes for my food to come out from the time that I ordered it, that the wings would not only be undercooked, but old as well. Guess we must've been too close to closing time? God I hope that's why and not the norm. I won't be returning and I can't recommend it to anyone but if you do decide to go, I would recommend going earlier than an hour and a half before closing then maybe you'll have a better experience than we did. read more

Customer service is on it, food comes out hot and they have Coke products which is a huge plus. Haven't had the pleasure of going inside yet but seems really nice on the outside. *Quick update, Definitely order from the right line, definitely hit or miss with service as children run the asylum. We love Slim Chickens and we were very excited to see it coming to Lake Wales, We stoped in today and we were very disappointed! They only have two registers both were moving very slow that the line was backing up outside. Half the tables were taken up by employees and the other half were very dirty. We will never go back to this location again. read more

I ordered a chicken sandwich only not a meal and I got a water she charged me for a meal ! My husband ordered a meal and asked for a water cup she asked if he wanted to substitute the milkshake and just have an extra charge he said yes . She charged him for the milkshake and kept the drink charge in his meal but all he wanted was water ! Then she said water costs ! He tried to tell her I didn't want French fries or a drink that I didn't order that and she said yes she did !!!!! I threw the fries away because I didn't want them and I drank water ! We were over charged close to 10 dollars with no resolve or care to !!! First and last trip !!!!!! read more

Ordered online. They forgot to pack some mac and cheese, not a huge deal but we didn't notice until we left. The manager insisted that they would not refund the Mac and cheese unless we came back. We were already 30 mins away so this wasn't an option for us. They need to pay more attention packing orders, and have a better process to manage issues with orders, especially because their location is quite out of the way. Food was good, but not overwhelming. Honestly there food was super good, i had gotten the chicken and waffles the chick was soft and the waffles where AMAZING, we also got the fried mushrooms which where super yummy as well as the fried pickles. The cheese cake jar is heavy of the whip cream but the strawberry's where fresh*. The people where nice especially at the drive thru. It was clean, fresh, and quick. read more

The menu is somewhat limited. It features mostly salads and sandwiches. They offer a small selection of draft beers. Customers order at a counter and receive a stanchion to place on their table. Staff delivers food to the table once it is prepared. We shared a Vegan Chickpea Salad Sandwich with a Mozzarella Caprese Salad. The sandwich was served on toasted panini bread with a scoop of chickpea salad, lettuce, and tomato. They were busy with an after bell tower concert crowd, but the service was efficient and timely. I enjoyed the meal and recommend it to visitors.

Sorry we forgot to get photos... we just dug in, that's how good it was. The fries were hot and crispy, the sweet potato fries had great flavor, and the iced coffee hit the spot after walking the gardens. The tomato and cheese salad was light and refreshing, perfect for the Florida weather. It's not a huge menu, but it works. The setting makes it even better -- being able to sit, relax, and recharge surrounded by the beauty of the gardens adds to the experience. Simple food done well in a peaceful setting. It complemented the day perfectly.

Very disappointed with the poor service of the drivetru employee and I asked her for my sauce for my wings and she told me that she would charge me $.035 and I told her that that came with each order and she gave me a bad attitude and made an out of place comment But with all that I continued on my way to my house to eat in peace when I arrived at my house 10 minutes from where the restaurant was and she had the wrong food from another customer but I also went to complain directly to the Manager TJ and he treated me coldly and I explained everything that happened and he told me that she had done it several times with another client and yet she continues working in the same place and giving bad service to the public but the manager TJ gave me the order again according to how I asked for it and according to how it appeared on my receipt but not even a detail of thanks and apology but that doesn't matter but there you have to treat the customer well and make them 100% satisfied and what you pay is for the quality and the Good service at this restaurant Slim Chickens Lake Wales store # 5505 The service is lacking, what a shame it started very well and ended badly. They should improve their service. I'll think about whether I go back to eat there again. My heat tolerance is high and I got the hottest spice and it wasn't hot to me. Im not sure if I would return here but the staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant would make me reconsider.

For Blue ridge grill in bartow. So we decided to grab breakfast there on the way home from Ft Meade. The first experience as we walked in the door was to be greeted by the strong stench of old urine comming from the bathrooms (they are near the front door..so that explains that.). After we were seated and had a look at the menu (which honestly looked great.), I settled on the chicken fajita Omlette, home fries, and grits, with a biscuit. My wife ordered a 2 egg combo with scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. My 16yo daughter (who wasn't hungry) had a side of fresh fruit. When our food came out, it was quite obvious that both my wifes scrambled eggs and my omlette were "egg product" out of a carton rather than fresh eggs. My grits were so salty that I couldn't eat them. The omlette was thin, small, flavorless and filled with cooked onions, 2 slivers of pepper and zero jalapeños. The chicken. Was laid on top of the omlette rather than in, it like it was forgotten till the last second and couldn't tell if the chicken was fresh made or microwaved (it had fake grill marks on it...so i assume the latter)the homefries were missing...but thats fine because i had a bite of my wifes and im glad they were missing. My wife was put off by the "egg product" scrambled eggs and said that her homefries tasted like nothing but "dirty griddle" after having a bite, i definitely concoured. We were both supposed to get a biscuit (the waitress said she would be right back with them...she never came back with the biscuits or to even refill my coffee.) But they never came. That was fine because the rest of the food was so awful, I dont think the biscuits would have been any better. My daughter ate a few pieces of her fresh fruit side and made a face that made me try a piece of the cantaloupe. "Fresh" may have been the case 5 days ago....but definitely not today. This was one of the first truly awful diner experiences we have had in about 5 years. Give this place a miss.

However, when the correct drink was brought to our table by a waitress who was not our server, she wasn't even sure she had the right table and said she was told it was "for the pregnant lady." I am not pregnant, and I found that comment extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the experience continued to go downhill. I went to the women's bathroom shortly after arriving, and it was very dirty. There was paper all over the floor, the toilet seat was up, and there appeared to be feces on the toilet. I had to use toilet paper to put the seat down because I did not want to touch it. I went back to the bathroom again before we left, and the paper was still all over the floor. Both trash cans were overflowing, and it was also very difficult to get paper towels out to dry my hands. On top of the cleanliness issues, the staff did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming. Being called "fat" was also extremely upsetting and unacceptable. Regardless of the circumstances, customers should be treated with basic respect and courtesy. We were patient and understanding throughout the evening, but unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. Based on tonight's experience, we most likely will not be returning to this location. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the cleanliness issues and the way customers are being treated.

You order at the counter and if you're staying, your food is brought out to you on actual plates with real silverware so you know you are welcomed and appreciated. I ordered their version of the Western omelette and now that I've had their version I don't want any other version. Omelette was Light and fluffy but filled with all that fiery goodness. Opted to have rye toast and a side grits. Grits were a bit watery but tasted wonderful. I had a simple black coffee as it's my preference and it was delicious. They do have a full drinks menu with lattes and cappuccinos. The customer service was excellent. To me the only drawback is that no music players overhead, and silence can be deafening.
