I strongly recommend you find another flooring company. They refinished existing and added new hardwood to match. We had many MAJOR issues with the quality of the work, delays, and cost overruns. The owner looked me in the face and lied. He Made several commitments that were never kept. There was constant rework and repair because of a general lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Unfortunately Todd's crew did a terrible job on our home, they were inexperienced and damaged the walls to our homes causing us to pay for more paint repairs. They also put in the same wax seal when re connecting the toilets causing the studio to flood. We had to remove all the new flooring which his workers rude-fully refused to do. Todd apologized and promised to come back and finish the job. He never returned to finish the job, after many many months and began to not respond. Even with a signed contract and full payment (Todd was very rude pushy about full payment even when the job was not finished). The flooding due to his workers caused us thousands of dollars more in repairs and ultimately I had to pay another contractor to finish Todd's job. Todd complained of being too busy to return, then he got into a car accident, etc. My recommendation is to simply AVOID USING Todd. read more

Todd came out and gave me a bid to install engineered hardwood flooring in my back two bedrooms. They had to remove carpet from one of the bedrooms and had to float one of the bedroom floors. I feel an obligation to warn people about the work this company does. We hired them to do our floors. We thought things went well...until the end. We wish we didn't hire them at all. They told us they also do kitchens and bathrooms. We hired them to retile a shower. Seemed easy enough...until we realised we could have watched a YouTube video and done a better job. They came back to fix it 3 times and it is still very sloppily done. So we moved on....until a pipe burst in our walls. We had to hire a plumber to come out and cut open the wall and replace a pipe. Not to mention clean up a wet and soggy sheet rock debacle. We found that the nails Todd's crew used were long and punctured the pipe. He now is passing the buck and not accepting the poor work to be his fault. I usually don't ever want to spread bad ratings...I just want to warn anyone to think twice before hiring TRN Flooring. Pay an extra buck or two and save the heart ache! read more

TRN Flooring was recommended by our realtor to refinish our hardwood floors. Todd came out and gave us a very reasonable quote for the job. We accepted and his team came out to sand and resurface our Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors in our kitchen, family room office and bathroom. The process took 2.5 days to sand, seal, buff and reseal. Todd's crew of Frank and Juan were true professionals, showing up on time, being very courteous, sealing the work area to protect the rest of the house, and staying whatever time was needed to get the job done. They even stopped back over to take care of some small imperfections that we noticed afterwards. Their craftmanship was extraordinary, with them correcting some previously unevenly cut vents holes and leveling out the some gaps in the transition surrounding our granite fireplace using extra cherry planks we had in the garage. This is a top notch company with Todd ensuring that the work was performed at a very high standard. What a fantastic company to work with! We highly recommending working with TRN Flooring! read more

Everything was great in the beginning of the job when we were home. After the first few days of sanding (he showed up at 9 or 10 am), we had to leave the house. After I left down the road, I realized I forgot something, so came back home and then smelled POT in the driveway! Just then his worked stepped out of his equipment trailer and walked back in the house. I didn't say anything. When we got back home after extra days (as the job wasn't finished in the time frame he stated) the first thing out of his mouth was "Can I get a check?" He wasn't even finished with the job! He installed quarter round in the kitchen after staining it and it was the most awful color that did not match at all! He said it was the best he could do. I asked him to take it off and install the correct trim that I had asked him to use previously (he had problem with it for some reason). He then proceeded to say that the quarter round was not in the bid and he was doing me this "great" favor by doing extra work! IT WAS IN THE BID TO THE TUNE OF 300 bucks! I also noticed several spots that didn't have enough finish on them and bubbles in the finish near the slider door. He said to "just use a putty knife to scrape them off!" I was not happy with his response. The baseboard he took off and put back on after the floor was done took an extra 6 hours to correct (corners were not matching up, etc). I asked him to come back and fix the spot in the kitchen that he touched up before he left, and also fix a spot in the bathroom corner that he forgot to sand and finish! He fixed the spot in the kitchen, and said he didn't have enough time to fix the bathroom! More than a month later, (as he didn't have the time) he came to retouch up the floor areas. He and his helper taped all the areas to fix. He then said I needed to take the tape off in 3 hours. He said he was leaving and I said I didn't feel I should take off the tape because then I would be responsible for it. He then said "I am NOT coming back! YOU can take off the tape and stormed out of the house. We shouted at each other in the garage, and then he got in his truck and burned out (almost getting sideways) in the gravel in my driveway, causing dirt and rocks to fly. Unbelievable!! Professional?? Certainly NOT. A typical punk looking to make an easy buck and not finish the job. read more

Todd did a fantastic job with our new house. It had some old carpet and we had a tight deadline on moving in. He was accommodating with our schedule and his knowledge was invaluable in helping us pick out vinyl for the downstairs and upstairs to replace the carpet. I particularly liked the work he did with the new tiling and finishing around the bathroom. Ontop of all this he was quick to respond to any questions and was very professional. I signed a contract with Trn flooring last May to tile my shower. He was supposed to start July 7, 2021. I was told by Todd I needed to have all the tile at the condo before the start date, and the deposit, so I got the tile, and the permit, and hoa approval. Todd kept putting me off with the start date, so I wasted the whole summer waiting for the job to start. There was very little communication during this time, except from me. Finally, in September, he sent 2 guys over to demo the bathtub and tile. The men told me they were not prepared to do the job, and were not informed of the true nature of the job, and walked out. The water in the building of 52 families was shut down for 3 hours to do the job. Todd said he was too busy with other, bigger, jobs, (which is against contractor rules to put them ahead) and can't find anyone to do my job, so he sent me my deposit back. I am still without my shower done, due to other busy contractors, etc., and the tile is still sitting in my condo, and my permit is expiring soon. The cost is now higher for everything, so if I ever get it done, it will cost me a lot more. Not happy. read more

Todd and his team did a great job in our house. They removed old carpeting and installed an engineered hardwood instead in two our bedrooms, demolished old cabinets and laminate flooring on the second floor and replaced it with HW. They also fixed handrails at stairway and renewed a bay window sill (sanded and refinished it) in our living room, fixed thresholds in the dining room. A lot of job nicely done right on schedule. I purchased vinyl flooring n decided I needed a professional's opinion - that is when Todd called me back and came over for an estimate. I was so impressed by his knowledge and manner that I had his company install it even though it was more than I had hoped to spend. It took several days to fix the foundation but in the end, they did an excellent job. It looks great, I love it and plan on having them do more work in the future upstairs. read more
