We finished visiting the Cape May Zoo and wanted to find a chill place to eat with booze, food, and good times. Ludlam popped up and we made our way over. This place has a great vibe to it. You walk in and there is a large bar, plenty of tables, and a stage where musicians can jam. You can also head outside (which is what we did) to sit at picnic tables and enjoy the weather. We had our kiddos with us, and being outside was a perfect spot. They had a little sand pit area where all the kids were gathering, playing with one another. There are clearly marked off spots where you can order your booze and order food. There were SO many different types of beer to try so I ordered a flight. Every single beer I tried was absolutely delicious. From their fall beers to their shandys and sours, they were ALL amazing. I brought home their chocolate pumpkin beer and their pink lemonade shandy. I wish I brought more home with me to be honest. The food was really good as well. Lots of BBQ options with different sauces. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was delicious! My friends and I all shared some sides - from the sweet and sour carrots to the spicy shaved broccoli salad, everything was so good. Not a single crumb was left behind. My son had the mac and cheese and my daughter had the chicken tenders. Everyone was happy and left full. That's my idea of a great time!

One change from their former spot is that leashed and friendly dogs are now only allowed outside, but with a good reason: they now serve food! The outdoor patio is spacious with 3 areas: a sunny spot on the patio with corn hole games, a tented deck with more tables, Adirondack chairs, and some shade, and also an outdoor bar. Have someone go inside to order and choose from a huge beer menu full of variety. We tried all of their featured beers: Oktoberfest, and 3 different pumpkin flavored beers. Did somebody say pumpkin spiced latte beer? You must order the "Becky!" 'Tis the season after all. Uniquely, they also offer cocktails using liquor from local distilleries. For wine lovers, there is a nice selection of red and white from local vineyards, and they also serve up non-alcoholic options. We love having so much to choose from. Food is available with an onsite kitchen serving up BBQ and sandwiches. They have a great merchandise area with t-shirts, beer glasses, and even doggy gifts like a water bowl, bandana, and treats! The staff could not have been more welcoming; special shoutout to Lorraine for being so sweet and helpful.

A lovely greeting on entrance. My wife and I used to work at an iconic eatery in phila called Taylor's country store and both of us looked at each other and said we get the same vibes. The decorations were just what you'd hope for in an eclectic little restaurant. Located on the edge of the villas maybe 15 mins from wildwood and cape May if you're visiting down the beach or shore don't sleep on this place. Now for the food we were looking for lunch we have our go to spots but wanted to change it up and I'm so glad my wife chose TBD. Has a great menu with something for everyone. I got a hot roast beef because it's one of my favorites. Side of fries hand cut. First the sandwich was everything I had hoped for I go a couple Roast beef sand places but this has shot to the top. Gravy on the side is how it came and it was just what the sand was meant for ciabatta roll soaked it up perfectly, no prob I'm not a fan of the disintegrating gravy sand I like to control the gravy. Roast beef was thick but not out of control thick, didn't need sharks teeth to bite through it. And not any gristle which definitely mattersHorseradish on the side a little bite not your make your nose run hot but hot enough. Hand cut fries delicious crispy hot and a perfect pairing to dip in the gravy. The pickle was exactly how you want a deli pickle to be crunchy fresh and sharp flavored w real dill I will say it again perfect . My wife had the burger it was huge tasty I know because I had half the right amount of everything. She chose the fresh homemade chips they were marvelous too I know because I grudgingly gave up a few fries to have some chips. It was big enough she said she would be skipping dinner. Anyway it's the kind of place you leave saying I can't wait to go back and try the other choices because you know they will all be made with culinary care and taste great. Don't step nod or miss this place. Being on weight watchers I know I'm gonna regret finding it, but you shouldn't it's on rt 47 the sign w the two black dogs sorry no pics of the food but I was hungry and scarfed it down before thinking

He could have been a little more attentive, drinks ran out without refill. Not bad ... just not particularly fast or thorough. The roast beef sandwich is good. Plenty of beef. Great bread! Tasty au jus. The fries are handmade. My wife really liked them - I would have preferred a little crispier. So, if you like homemade fries, you'll love them. Prices are very fair. Which is good, because they don't take credit cards so you'll have to use their ATM if you forget cash. It's a good spot and worth a try.

Here are the positives: 1. The menu: They have a very extensive drink menu, with plenty of cocktails, including margaritas, canned drinks, and other specialty drinks. I wish they would serve more mocktails, but that's just me. 2. The atmosphere: This is an excellent place to enjoy the bayside views and hear live music, and it's even on a sunny day. 3. The service: This location has plenty of staff on hand, but you may have to flag someone down if it's busy. The food and drinks here are very good and compliment the atmosphere very well. I will say there are a couple of downsides: Cover charge: If you want to come here on the weekend, be prepared to pay at the door. The cost to come here is $5 per person, and while that may be alright for those who are vacationing here, it can become quite costly for locals. I really wish places like this offered a seasonal pass then I'd be back much more often. One of the more negative experiences I had was using the bathroom. I did have an incident at the Somers Point location where I locked the bathroom door and a member of their staff walked in on me and, at one point, banged a broom against the window. I'm not sure if any of their locations have some type of bathroom policy, but it didn't seem quite professional and felt very awkward. If you plan on using the bathroom here, make sure the door if completely locked.

Drinks were on the expensive side, but so in tune to the vibe we overlooked it as entertainment value. So, I brought some friends back for dinner a few Sundays later. That's when they stopped us at the door to collect a $5 per person cover charge and that's where I drew the line. At 6:00, they had a DJ, they explained, and there would be a band at 7:00. The food is already overpriced, but we were willing to accept that for the experience. However, we were not willing to pay a fee for the privilege of eating. It's unfortunate, really. They were onto something, but there is no shortage of places to enjoy a summer evening in Somers Point that won't charge a cover to eat.
