I was driving 2 hrs from the other side of the state to take her since she doesn't have a car on campus and could accommodate that request. Then the day of, I'm about an hour out of Muncie and the stylist texts asking to change the appointment to a different day because her other job needed her to come in early. When my daughter tells her that this the only day she has available because she doesn't have a ride other than me and I was driving 2 hrs to get there, she said she can't do it and no other stylist was available. So disappointing and not a good look for this business. We scheduled a week in advance and were willing to accommodate the request to move the time up. This appointment that was set should have been honored before a second job.

I love this place and have never had a problem until Saturday/today, I also have never left a…read morereview but felt this was needed. I only recommend if you're seeing sing. I have been going to him for a half a year, I called to set up an appointment with him and he is on vacation for 2.5 weeks and I couldn't hold off so I seen someone else. I did a fill in builder gel set like I do with him and got a white French tip. I left with them being very lumpy, bubbles and lines all through out, and black fibers all in the nails, the white tips were not the same size/lines not straight, plus the thumbs aren't square like the rest of the nails. $75 down the drain. I called not even an hour later to let them know and was told to come back today, at 2. I showed up and the owner did not even look at them to see exactly what was wrong. I was told to wash my hands and have a seat. Instead of having someone else completely redo them I was sat with the same lady who did not do them right in the first place making it awkward instantly. She did nothing different except redo the coating (which she also did not redo one of my thumbs for whatever reason) at this point I was so irritated I did not care what they looked like. I again left with bubbles, uneven, my thumbs are not square and all the black fibers are still in my nails. Very unprofessional and do not recommend. I wasted $75, my time was wasted two times and nothing was resolved! I 100% will only be going for sing and only recommend him.

The woman who did my set was very friendly and sweet! I asked for acrylic and was informed they do…read morenot offer that service, but she offered gel-x instead. I asked for ballerina shaped nails and as you can see, these are almond. It's a common mistake inexperienced nail tech's can make if they aren't familiar with standard nail shapes. It was a bit of a red flag, but I didn't ask for them to be fixed because I'm not picky about shape. I loved the feel of the gel-x set, they were lightweight and looked very natural. Unfortunately, the gel polish began to bubble up and peeled off within the first week of having them. She had another tech come and assist her with curing the polish. Between two people, I would expect one to catch a curing mistake especially due to the risk of contact dermatitis. I can only assume this salon has low standards for hiring and it wasn't just the one inexperienced tech. Which is a much bigger issue. I'm not sure how they have stayed open because it appears I'm not the only one who has had these issues with Thy Nails, but based on how empty the salon was when I went in (save one person getting a pedicure) I imagine they will not be a lasting business. The vibe was good, but unfortunately that cannot make up for low quality services and work.
