However, in sales, he quoted what we once called a "boated" price, where like a Car Salesman, he had wiggle room to lower it. What he didn't realize was that while he was working on my unit, the basic Freon Replacement was competitively offered at $450, with an added Sealant with a 90 day warranty. He helped me by lowering the quoted $740 initial "quoted" price twice, ultimately ending at $550 with no warranty or short-term Sealant. Because of the holiday weekend, no other company was available until 3 days or Monday. Thankfully, so far, so good with the repair but when a Tech has elevated a verbal repair offer, he has given himself reduction room and in many cases, has the option of being compensated for the paid amount above what the company will actually accept as a Bonus or Commission. I rated a 2 star for his friendliness and I have to accept some responsibility in approving the repair though having a Construction Project Management background. Just be careful when a price isn't in clear writing!

The serviceman was very friendly, fixed the machine, left his cell phone number, and told us to call him if we needed. The machine filled with ice and worked great for about two(2) weeks, then nothing. We called our serviceman and he came back about a month later, worked on the ice maker, told us a part had been removed and intimated that someone in our household was responsible. We accepted that just as long as it was working. But it wasn't working. We called again. We had to wait until he could come back. After five (5) more calls and five (5) more tries, he finally picked up the machine and took it to be fixed. After about three (3) weeks he returned the ice maker and said all was well. Well, all was not well. It dropped about four(4) ice cubes, and they melted before the next four(4) dropped. This all started in 2019, at which time we paid over $700 and have made numerous calls to the technician, receiving promises that he would come and getting stood up. We even called the company and they said they would send someone else out. The company later called back and said they couldn't find anybody that worked on our kind of ice-maker. So here we sit with an appointment to see our usual technician tomorrow between 2 and 6 pm. We will see, but I don't have my hopes up. I suggest you remember this company; Stainy's Appliance Parts & Service, in Conyers, GA, and NOT call them. So now for us, if Mr serviceman shows up, and if Mr serviceman can get it working, and if we are satisfied with its' operation, I will post a review to that fact. But my biggest and strongest suggestion is to look for another company for your appliances.
