After work on a Friday me and my boyfriend were hungry and decided we wanted something good to eat. We were looking for something casual nice and we were looking for nice a ambiance. The establishment was a decent size, And the furniture was very cute. Now let's get to the food part. We ordered pepper shrimp as the appetizer it came with the head on it and we didn't know so we didn't really care for those but the flavor was on point. I ordered the seafood platter which were 2 lobster tails, served with bang bang shrimp instead of pepper shrimp ,mussels, (I don't eat these I got extra bang bang shrimp instead ) Rasta pasta and corn on the Cobb. My food was sooooooo good I can't stress enough when I find a good restaurant with good food. Everything had so much flavor Im definitely giving this restaurant a 10/10 My bf had the sweet chilli salmon he said it was really good. It was margaritas Fridays but one get one free I'm not usually a margarita person but the waiter convince me and I was sold so glad I listen one of the best margaritas I've ever had. I had the strawberry and passion fruit margarita and my boy had a regular margarita and the passion fruit, and when I tell y'all it had a kick it had a kick these were some real margaritas and the waiter knew exactly what he was doing. Our drinks were perfect and strong and not to sweet. Perfecto!!!Our waiter (can't remember her name) was very good as well she was very sweet and very attentive. She's very good at her job and we appreciated that. Some of the best Caribbean food we've had, and it's in the Bronx it's safe to say I was very satisfied will definitely be back again oh they even have comedy Wednesday's with discounts on wings i definitely recommend we're coming back!!!!!

On a Saturday evening my sister and myself decided to attend this spot. Upon arrival it was empty but hey we didn't care more attention to us! Food was DELICIOUS, service was excellent staff was very attentive and helpful, ambiance was okay definitely need to go back when there is more action! A rated it a 4 due to one down fall which was the atm machine. This place does serves hoohka was and as expected it's cash only when going to the atm for cash triple deuce atm charges 3 dollars extra to get cash. Definitely a surprise. But overall besides that I definitely will come back with cash this time!

After a long week of working, I had been seeking some delicious Jamaican food to comfort my belly on a Friday night. I typically visit Richie Rich Caribbean restaurant due to convenience and familiarity. I'm not from the Bronx, so I don't know many good Jamaican restaurants. On this particular Friday night, I visited 'Richie Rich' and they weren't accepting debit cards. It was close to 8pm, I just wanted a meal and I didn't want to go to the bank to get cash. I pulled up the Yelp app and Triple Deuce was among the first suggested. I drove over and I'm sooo glad this happened. Firstly, let me say, the usual "rude attitude" that plagues Jamaican restaurants, did NOT occur here lol. I stood at the front counter for a few minutes before being served but the server was exceptionally nice and catered to me very well. Secondly, they offer a more diverse selection of food than what I've seen at most Jamaican restaurants. By this I mean, they have a few of the traditional dishes (e.g. curry chicken, jerk chicken, curry goat, etc.). But in addition, there were other unconventional items like lobster tails, sweet chili salmon portions, and shrimp dishes. Everything looked fresh and was presented well. I ordered a small curry goat with white rice which was about $8.70, and I paid with my debit card. I liked the fact that they didn't load up my plate with rice. It was a good balance of both rice and protein for a good value. The curry goat was seasoned well and the texture was soft (not chewy); overall delicious. I literally sucked the bones dry, thats how tasty it was. Overall a great experience. I will definitely be returning and I highly highly recommend anyone to visit.

My husband and I stopped by here the other night, and had great food and service. Saima was our waitress and was VERY ATTENTIVE and HELPFUL. The tables were socially distanced, and they take hour temp before being seated. The bang bang shrimp was awesome, and I highly recommend it. The only drawback about this spot is the parking--which is fairly common in this part of the Bronx. We walked about two blocks to the spot.

Food was great full of flavor. I had the stew chicken with rice and peas and it came with a side salad and dressing. My friend had the Rasta pasta with chicken. Stated it was on point. Drinks were good had the rum punch and it was delicious. The only things is the service was a little slow it was a Tuesday night but the waitress was at the bar catching up with the other waitress for the first 30 minutes and then the service picked up. I will still Definitely be coming back the food was worth it.

Pepper Shrimp Appetizer.. so good !

My first time going to Triple Deuce and I have mixed feelings about here (most likely wouldn't go back) I was in Ny for the weekend my cousins and I decided on this restaurant. First thing it's a very nice looking restaurant. However, I wanted the jerk pork it wasn't available, then I ask for jerk chicken they didn't have that either, my cousin asked for oxtail they didn't have that. Finally I settled on the salmon burger. I'm not a big fan of salmon but my options were limited. Instead of a salmon patty I was served a fillet. The burger instantly fell apart on my first bit. The flavors were there but that was not my expectation. Now for the pricing, in my opinion the prices go with the look of the restaurant but with the limited food options I don't think those prices are accurate. We also had pepper shrimp and chili wings both very good. Like I said before the flavors are there

You know how music can bring back a memory? Certain meals can do that also. Well, while having Jenny's those Trinidadian flavors brought me back to the good old days of about 15 or so years ago. Damn, it's been a long time! (Eric B. & Rakim just came to mind.) Anyway. Jenny's meal of Jerk Chicken had that extra spiciness just the way I like it. Then there's the order of Stew Chicken. The Trini flavors were prominent in this dish, with that extra gravy melding in nicely into the Rice and Peas and side of mashed pumpkin. Mmm mmm mm!! Plus, can't forget my favorite accompaniment, Buss Up Shut. Setting things off with those fluffy, warm sheets of dough to wrap your meaty sauced stews in. Man, those combos brought me back! They also included Dhalpuri to soak up the order of Boneless Curry Chicken with chunks of potatoes to create your own Roti. Everything was perfect with the exception of one forgivable misstep...the missing Oxtail. We included an order of Oxtail that did not arrive. But the error was quickly remedied within the hour with an email apology and a credit for the cost. High Five on the Customer Service Score! Jenny's Roti Shop gave us a reprieve from the redundant cuisine located in our immediate area. Jenny's will no doubt be on our, 'what's for dinner?!?!?! delivery list.

Rice & Peas & Tings is located toward the rear of the Bronx Terminal Market food court. I wound up here early on a Sunday morning and decided to give them a try. After the warm greeting, I asked if it was too early for stew chicken and was told 'Course not'. I was given a hearty serving of food, with EXTRA GRAVY like I requested. I could have fallen in love right there. I grabbed one of the many available tables, near the Christmas tree, so I could look wistfully out, onto...the highway. While the plate was plentiful, the chicken I received was small boney pieces. If you look, you can see the chicken back in my picture. This is not exactly a complaint (bones are for chewing), but I would have liked to have more actual meat. The chicken itself was also slightly sweeter than my preference, but still very good. Honestly they had me at the extra gravy and could probably do no wrong. The rice and veg were both well cooked and I have no complaints on either. I will definitely return and try different things from the menu (looking at you oxtail).

Saw a large sign boasting, Rice & Peas & Tings, so I strolled over. Behind the counter was this cordial young gentleman who I had a lengthy conversation with. In a part of our conversation he informed me that they recently opened in the Terminal in 2024 and they are eagerly looking forward to sharing their food with the masses. For the undecided, samples are offered to help in any decision making. I didn't accept his offer of samplings, but what better way to entice someone. I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

My order took about 25 minutes, but the escovitch snapper was clearly made fresh. The rice and peas with steamed cabbage were flavorful and delicious. The fish had a nice spice, but the escovitch dressing was missing that signature tang--didn't taste like it had any vinegar, which was a little disappointing. Not the best escovitch I've had, but still satisfying overall.

They have a DJ so if you're looking to vibe while enjoying Ghanian food, this could be the spot. It was my first time trying Malt and the best way I can describe it is it tastes like molasses, slightly bitter, slightly yeasty but very mild overall. We started off with the Chicken Suya which was a bit dry and chewy but the suya seasoning made all the difference. It tastes like a blend of chili powder, ginger, garlic, onion powder, paprika, etc. It was a fine starter but definitely skippable. For entrees, we got the Street Waakye and Jollof Queen. I've had waakye (pronounced waa-che) before but this was pretty dry. The spaghetti was light and I actually liked that they used thinner noodles rather than the regular spaghetti. This dish comes with fried fish which was light, flaky, and moist. The real winner was the goat stew. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You get the essence of tomato, the tenderness and slight gamey flavor from the goat, and the thick and luscious sauce that was an explosion of flavors. I even dipped the boiled egg into the sauce which was unbelievably satisfying. The jollof rice from the Jollof Queen was cooked way better than the waakye. It was moist, well-seasoned, and didn't really need anything added to be good. I loved the sweet plantains and the chicken was also well-prepared. Considering how much jollof rice there was and that it was ~$25, they could've given more than 2 pieces of chicken. Overall, it was a pretty good meal! When the bill came, I saw there was an automatic 18% gratuity added which is totally fine considering we were a party of 7. However, they then pointed out that this wasn't tip and was a fee for "the table". I eat out a lot and never in my life have I heard of this. We ended up adding another 10% on top of that. They also charge a 3% credit card fee. I don't agree with them trying to squeeze out more money from customers who are already coming and spending money; this is definitely not the norm anywhere else I've been. Not too many restaurants in NYC serving Ghanaian cuisine but you'll enjoy some traditional dishes here.
